They don't care. It's not specific to one location it's the entire company. Chat transfers you and 'disconnects' you, the 800 number has no one to escalate to when problems arise, the store is barely staffed and you have to find someone that can basically place an order for you. We had purchased all new appliances for our home. Should be fun right? No.. late delivery, the installers broke the counter top and didn't secure the dishwasher or leval it correctly. All the GE appliances have broken in some way and that's another big problem you get to fix. The refrigerator died in a couple months and best buy did nothing but tell us to call ge even though we had total tech. If you need something and have no other options and are pretty handy here you go but they will not do what they claim past sell you something and try to get more money on 'warranties and services' they won't complete correctly. Trying to get the claim settled for the damage they did was a nightmare!! We had to call our insurance to get it covered. You basically needed a lawyer even though it was completely clear this was the installer slamming the old washer into the floor and countertop, this wasn't even a denial from the tech that did the damage, but still best buy and their insurance refused to call us back and handle the issue. Employees are involved in fraudulent sales in mobile department. If I could give -100 stars I would. Yesterday, On 10/26/2019 we were victims of fraud done at this location. We live in Nevada, this location sold 3 iPhone 11 and added 2 extra lines to our account. With a total of $6500 ish in charges and fees! After calling the fraud department which took 2.5 hrs on hold to finally resolving this 4.5hrs later I decided to Call the store and speak to the manager on duty named Stephanie of the mobile department. She said they have a policy to check ID for valid and legal transactions. Yet, they were doing a "courtesy call" to inform of us "attempted fraud" and all we needed to do was to verify the code that would be texted to us. They never once asked for our SS, or our AT&T passcode nor for us to verify the last 4 of our SS and to verify our address. Here's the thing! If they scan / check "valid ID" why did they have to go threw the steps of "fraud" sounds like an employee knew these crooks and was in on it to "legally" sell these devices to these criminals! A police report was filed, we attempted to get their district manager phone number but she wasn't"allowed to give that out" followed by "if she is willing to talk she will call you back." we are highly considering to peruse legal action and we will be calling corporate office on Monday. read more

I am very mad at myself for not listening to others negative review of this store. Whatever you do DO NOT go to this store. After buying a large screen TV they really pushed me buying their Total Tech membership. So then when they installed the TV their Geek Squad were so rushed at the installation they put a dent in my wall. Then when I was looking at another purchase being installed their Geek Squad employee was rude and argumentative with me over the phone, so I hung up on him before I got rude in return. They sent me a survey about their services. So I was honest about the issues. Plus I called their number to discuss further because I didn't understand the membership, and wanted to clarify with their main office. The lady I spoke with told me they did not tolerate that kind of behavior from their employees, and was going to escalate my problem. Well the next thing I got was a nasty email telling me that their employees had reported me for being rude. They had only installed items in my home, and their employees knew that; however, they accused me of using the Total Tech Membership for non-personal uses. I don't know how that can happen when I don't have any use except personal. So as a result of these things they cancelled my Total Tech Membership without calling to discuss further with me, and did not give me any of a refund. I had only just purchased the membership. This tells me all I need to know about this business. They are petty and vindictive. Well at least their leadership at the corporate level is this way. Whatever you do DO NOT shop at this store!!! I bought a new refrigerator at Best Buy in May, and of course it was not in stock. Dummy me paid for it when I ordered it , so they have been using my money all these months and I still have no refrigerator. I will never buy anything from this place again. I can't even remember how many times they have sent me messages and ask me to call them because they needed to give me another delayed date to deliver. After being unable to get ahold of a person via the telephone to see what happened to delay, we drove by to ask the question and left completely unsatisfied with their customer service. They called again this morning to let me know the delivery date has been pushed out again and they can't deliver until October 2nd. Without competition like Circuit City, Best Buy seems to have a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. They never seem to work hard to get your business, this store included. All the time I was in the store, it seemed that one person talked to me. I could see a few of them busy with customers so that's good. I doubt they are incredibly knowledgeable, unless they bring that knowledge with them. The company would never provide it, so that they could do their jobs better and help consumers make better choices. I'm still indifferent to Geek Squad. Some employees are really good and others keep their section of floor from floating to the ceiling, which isn't good for a technical person. Even installing a home theater system can be complicated. They need to be awake and aware. The store is fairly big, as Best Buy locations go, and they had the latest arrangement of Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung products. read more

Bought a DVD player at good price....but Salesman said I needed an HDMI Cable, which I purchased. After it was set up...the extra cable was not needed and I put bag aside to return it to Best Buy next time I was over by the store and had assistance since I am disabled. Went back to Best Buy today to be told I only had 15 days to return anything purchased even though I had my receipt. The salesman NEVER told me about the 15 day policy and I explained to Salesperson that being disabled I needed assistance returning to the store. She stated she "might" be able to give me a store credit, which I did recieve. I feel as if I was deceived by a Snake Oil Salesman and Everyone should be told with each purchase about the 15 day policy. I will NEVER return to store or purchase anything from Best Buy ever again, even though I had planned on buying a new TV from there. Fort Smith needs a technology/electronics store. Service was VERY bad. My mother, 80 plus on a walk was not able to get someone to help he look for a Television set for her home. We asked 3 times and waited 45 minutes and finally left without a TV. Went to walmart and got service. As far as I can figure, Best Buy is a showroom for Amazon. At least that's how I use it. It is nice to put your hands on an item, check it out, get any questions you have answered about it, and then go home and order it off of Amazon for 30-40% less. If you like to buy things from a brick and mortar store instead of online, then this is a nice business. The store is clean and well kept. Plus, it is incredibly easy to find someone to help you. All you have to do is stand still for two minutes and you will see someone you can holler at or someone will approach you. Best Buy on Phoenix in Fort Smith, AR has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I needed a phone charger. There were many selections and I wasn't sure what was the right one for my phone. I selected one, went to the cashier, as no one offered to help, and showed her my phone and asked her if it was the right one. She didn't know so she asked a couple of young men, she came back and said, "they said it was the right one." So, I made my purchase and left. I opened the box at home and it doesn't fit. So, I head back to Best Buy and I'm greeted at the doors by three employees. "I'm sorry ma'am but we're closed." "I just need to make a quit exchange, I was just here." "I'm sorry but we're closed." "Look, I asked one of your sales reps if I had the right charger, she assured me that I did." I just want a quick exchange because she was wrong." "We're closed, sorry." So I just through the box at them and left. Best Buy needs to hire some older, mature employees that understand the value of customer service. They need to ask questions of the shopper to better understand what it is they are looking for and how they can help. I'm sick to death of young people not knowing or caring how to offer customer service. And, to shut me out "because we're closed " when what I needed would have taken one minute max. Years ago, retailers would have never done that. I rarely shop at Best Buy and I regret stopping by there this evening. I never will again. I ended up going to Dollar General, showed the young man there my phone, told him what I needed. He walked with me to where the chargers were, picked up the one I needed and handed it to me. The ONLY reason I still shop at Bestbuy is because of their "price matching" policy. Make sure you look ALL of the products up on Amazon.com because I guarantee they will be cheaper 99.9% of the time. As long as the item is "sold by and shipped by Amazon.com" Bestbuy will price match at the cash register. This location has not been very helpful. The employees have very limited knowledge on the products. I often overhear an employee giving a customer completely false information about products (e.g. The MacBook Pro is new this year, the Fitbit Alta measures heart rate, etc.). This is very disturbing. In addition, I hate the concept of the guy in the front with the yellow shirt. I'm not sure what his role is, but I've stood in line at customer service for over an hour on two separate occasions while that person just stared at me. Why don't they call an additional employee to customer service? Or why don't they get up and help? Just a terrible system. read more

I usually don't post negative reviews, but I just had the worst customer experience at Best Buy in Fort Smith, AR. They have a horrible return policy!! I purchased an open box TV today that was on display. It was working order on display in the store. However, by the time I got it home and mounted, it had a crack in the top of the screen. And it would not show a picture. When I went to exchange for some else less than two hours after my purchase, the manager refused it because he said I must have damaged it. I did not drop nor mishandle the TV. It was poorly wrapped to begin with but I really didn't pay much attention at the time. I was sent to go pull up my car while the associates were wrapping it. Whose to say they didn't mishandle it causing damage! But to blatantly accuse me and deny me the right to exchange and pay the difference is lousy service. I wasn't asking for a refund!! I work in customer service and would never treat a customer this poorly!! The right thing to do is to take care of the customer! I'm extremely dissatisfied with Best Buy! read more

Best Buy business practices have been on the decline for a while. I recently went to purchase an item and it wasn't supposed to be on the floor yet so they took all the products away and said we can't sell you this. I complained to the manager and he was condescending. I told him that it is not my fault your company broke street date on an item by putting it out on display. He said mistakes happen. That "mistake" (which was the third time this has happened to me at this store btw) means I won't ever go back. On top of that, when I went to escalate the issue above the condescending manager's head by calling the support number, the automated message told me to direct all complaints to the manager! I went there a few weeks ago to purchase a tv. Hardly anyone in there, so that was good, but had to wait around for someone to notice that people were looking for some help. Fine, got the tv, AND a gift card. I recently tried to order some things online using that card. No chat available, no phone help available, actually got hung up on a couple of times. I tried checking the gift card # again, says it doesn't exist. I did not receive any emails saying I purchased any items, no order, nothing. Except that the 2 items I wanted were still in my cart. I will NEVER, EVER go to that store again. The last time I visited, the guy up front, like a greeter, said there was only ONE employee in the store so don't expect any help. There were several employees there, helping people and it was very busy. ok, I went there last christmas to buy a gift (I bought like 2 or 3 of the same gift, it was a digital keyring that held photos). I had to make a return cause I think of them was broken. Anyways, the staff was extremely rude and treated me like I was stupid, one of the rude people was a manager.
