I just had one of the worst shopping experiences at the Best Buy in Gulfport, MS. There were seven customers waiting in line and only one cashier working. Meanwhile, three other employees stood around doing nothing to help move the line or assist customers. It was frustrating, slow, and showed a complete lack of organization and customer service. If this is how they staff and manage their store, it's no wonder people prefer to shop online. Extremely disappointing. read more

6/7/2023- between 6-6:10pm Despite the negative reviews I saw for this location, I still decided to come to it due to the fact that it was closer to my hotel & I just wanted to go in & out since I knew exactly what I wanted. I came in here to grab some headphones & NOBODY greeted me when I came in. So I just went over to check out what they had available for what I needed. I then went over to the customer service but there was a line, while waiting in line, I asked this short, blonde, chunky lady WHO WAS WEARING A BEST BUY SHIRT, who could I ask for help to just get some headphones & what did she say? "Yes ma'am I'm sorry but it's already past my time off. But we will get you someone right away" I walk around the store twice, not ONCE did I get asked if I needed help. As I finished walking around the FIRST time, I see the SAME WOMAN WHO SAID IT WAS PAST HER TIME OFF, HELPING ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Wish I would've gotten her name cause I would've loved to put her in blast for the horrible customer service & communication she has! I literally had to chase an employee down just to get HEADPHONES. He was the nicest person in there & got me out as quickly as possible. But other than that, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Best buy is a good store but today when I was at Best Buy exchanging my air fryer there was a very rude manager that helped me I didn't get to catch her name but she was a really big kid with her hair in a bun her hair was like kinda bleached and blue strands of hair she has helped me before and she yelled at me but I didn't do anything to make her mad. read more

If you are going to have someone in the front of the store that it's going to receive questions they ought to be someone there who has a little personality and acts like she appreciates your business. Even when I left the store of which I got no help in while I was there she didn't look at me and say thank you she didn't look at me and said we don't care whether you come back or not. This Best Buy seemed smaller than others I have been to, but that could be wrong. they did have the inverter that I needed along with the other typical Best Buy things. Ari is a nice gentleman from the Best Buy mobile department which was really cool he did a great job on installing a Zagg Invisible High Definition screen on my iPhone 5s. While waiting for Ari to get thru installing Zagg Invisible High Definition screen I spoke to couple of ladies Best Buy employees from the other Best Buy store down the road they ask me how I like the iPhone 5s how fast it is and etc. I gave my opinion on the phone and she bought one based on my review on the phone she even bought a Mophie battery charging carrying case for the iPhone which was really cool she thanked me for it. The staff here at Best Buy are friendly and knowledgeable plus they seem like team players who help each other out with out sticking the stuck team member of Best Buyer to do something they don't know. Okay, they changed their tune. Today they were nice. They gave me a store credit for the Samsung TV that had a vertical red line going down the left side of the screen. My warranty was supposed to cover that anyway. To show my appreciation I upgraded to a Sony. End of Story. Absolutely horrible customer service. We placed an order a month ago and set up our instillation date. They said we would need to be home from 10-8. We paid someone to be at our house while we couldn't then called them at 5pm to make sure they weren't lost. We were told we were still on for our install. At 8pm I stopped by the store because their phone system is a nightmare. We were told then they scheduled someone who was on vacation for our delivery. The MOD(James) and the cashier at the "customer service"area were completely useless. I paid $1166 for product that was in the store yet I was told they could not sell me the iPad because it was not available for in store pickup. They had these iPads in the store! And, the MOD and the cashier told me I can just buy it off the shelf but I would have to wait 48 hours to get the refund from the one I purchased on the website for store pickup. Oh how I love this Best Buy! I just had my appliances delivered and what a great experience this was. I ordered them online last week and I couldn't get my online coupon to work so I called and the girl helping me couldn't get it to work as well so she said she will search for price match (they were already on sale $100 off each) and when she came back she had found a cheaper price somewhere in Iowa I think she said and I ended up getting them even cheaper then my coupon would have given me. The set with accessories would have ran around $900 and tax and I ended up with a total of just under $700. I know this is a budget set but the reviews were very good on these particular items so we will see. The two guys Mike S and Mike S lol both said they have the exact set and said it was really a good buy and durable. They set everything up and I absolutely thought they were both super good! It didn't hurt that the one Mike was a complete hottie Thanks Best Buy! It's like Christmas in June for this girl. read more

I will literally never order from this Best Buy again, or recommend it to anyone. I ordered a washer, dryer, and a tv weeks ago with a scheduled delivery for this morning. I received several confirmations, including one yesterday stating that they would be here with my items this morning between 7 am and 1 pm. Well, 1:30 rolls around I still haven't heard from the delivery drivers about my delivery. I have been waiting all day for them to deliver my items and strategically scheduled it around my daughters school day. So I call Best Buy and they tell me well, your items aren't in stock and we have no idea when they will be until at least tomorrow because your ticket is still open. There's nothing we can do for you. You can call back tomorrow and see when we'll have your items in though. My issue is not that the items were out of stock. My issue is that I literally ordered them and planned this delivery weeks ago so I could avoid this exact issue. So now I can't cancel them because we really need the washer and dryer and who knows when I can get them elsewhere at this point. If I had found this out when I actually ordered them, I would have just ordered them from somewhere else. Oh and it would have been nice if someone, at some point, would have at least had the decency to let me know that they weren't delivering my purchased items so I wasn't waiting around all day for them to not even show up. Went into buy an iPad Pro, from the time I went in , no one greeted me... I walked the whole store 3 times to see if anyone would and no one did... went and looked at the iPads and still no one said a word... I was there for an hour.. an hour! Went to leave and the security guard asked how my visit was and I told them it was pretty crappy, and told them what happened... the manager was near a register and heard what happened and came over and apologized... They give me a date and time the 30th 8:00 am to 12:00 noon no one showed up or called I called they said I got kicked out of the system.They said the next date would be 12 days later not good service. Went to the Best Buy in Gulfport Ms, to purchase a Ring doorbell. I was told by a sales person that I would receive a military discount on my purchase when i checked out, and he even inform the cashier about the discount. He also told me that the product i was buying had a battery in it and that i could purchase additional rechargeable batteries to go with it so I would always have a fresh battery on hand. When i Got home I found out the doorbell i purchased didn't have a replaceable battery but a rechargeable battery. when I returned to the store I noticed the discount was only applied to the battery and not the doorbell. When i asked about it, I was told the discount only applied to accessories. When i told the manager that the employee stated I would receive the discount and that he even told the cashier that I would be getting the discount he still refused to honor the discount. My igloo mini was shipped to the Gulfport Bestbuy by the hwy49 exit so I could pick it up after flying in to get my truck. It is the best little refrigerator fits perfectly below my passenger cabinet and doesn't seem to be drawing too much power at all so I'm very happy. The line was a little long in the pick up line but the employees were on it and kept it moving fairly quick which I appreciate because I was short on time. First in store pick up across the US and it went well, so five stars. read more

My name is Vicki Armstrong i bought a viper for my car and they installed really good BUT then i bought a radio from the harvey best buy and the heavy set Manger that works there knows that i keep my 2003 car very clean and in excelant condition when they installed my radio and speaker they crack my dash board by my glove compartment where the air bag are set and my car came out without air condition anti freeze this car had a 50,000 mile bumper to bumper that cost 2,100.00 service and when i ended up with no anti freeze and bought it to get serviced on the air they put more anti freeze and i havent had a problem since so you tell me DONT TRUST BEST BUY GUYS WITH YOUR CAR BETTER STAY AND WATCH i will never use them again NEVER the FAT guy is sneakie BECAREFUL DONT USE THE HARVEY LA STORE read more

My husband and I purchased an LG 55" television from Best Buy yesterday. We loaded in the car with the help of the salesman.He told us it was the most durable television. It cost about $1000 and we purchased the service plane for $250.00 for 5 years. We brought it home, it was packed in styrafoam. We we opened it this morning and the screen was cracked. We called and customer service said to bring it back. When we did the Gulfport store would not take it back. They were not sympathetic, at least they could have offered us 50% off another television,because we still need one. They gave us the name of a service person but added that he might not be able to fix it. Worst customer service and I will never ever go back to a Best Buy. Walmart here we come. read more

Do not carry anything to be worked on by the geeksqad!!!!!!!! I carried my macbook there to have a hard drive put in, paid over $300 for drive and 1 yr support, they call me and say we are not allowed open up a Mac and work on them,(which is what i wanted and was told yes they will) but we ran a diagnostics on it for you but i didnt want that, i wanted a HD installed, ok we will refund you the money you paid minus $100 for diagnostic test. WHAT!!! I wanted a HD installed, why didnt you call me first and say you cant do what i ask before spending my money without consent????? After a long discussion with the mngr, he refused to take that $100 dollars off my bill even after i said i will not be back, apparently best buy does not want to keep loyal customers over a $100 service of plugging into a port and reading a screen. Ryan's the man! My electronic-impaired husband and I went to buy a new laptop. We can barely even turn one on so we needed serious help. Enter Ryan, our electronic guru. He was so patient as we asked what he must have thought were totally asinine questions. He never showed frustration with us but slowly and surely walked us through every step. He showed us how to do many useful things on our old laptop and helped my husband select a new one. He was so kind to us and never made us feel uncomfortable in a situation where we definitely were not in our element. Ryan helped us upgrade our Best Buy account and with Verizon get a new wireless internet connection. In the middle of this the Best Buy computers went down and he never panicked but just started brainstorming on how to fix it. He really knows what he is doing as there were several associates (and a supervisor) who kept coming up to him asking him questions. He answered them but never lost focus of us. His customer service skills are quite exemplary all the way around. With his help and patience we did select a new laptop and a new printer. We got the old laptop cleaned up enough for our granddaughter to use and we are very happy with it and with Ryan's service. Like I said, Ryan's the man! read more
