On April 2 2025 I Bought a 55" LED LG tv and upon opening the box I noticed the screen was cracked pretty good so I put the sleeve back on it and put it back in the box and took it back to the store for an exchange. After bringing it in and they took it to the back to inspect the tv. The associate came back out and said he couldn't do anything for me because I waited more than 2 days to open the item he couldn't prove that I didn't break it myself so if I want a new tv I have to buy another one.. I told them that it was broken when I opened it & asked to speak with management so the manager that evening (5/13/25) told me that I could possibly talk to the store in Lafayette, Indiana something like 40 miles away might be able to help me but he couldn't do a thing because it had been 11 days since I bought the tv. That's TERRIBLE customer service. You have shit service at the Kokomo store. I drove to Lafayette because I wasn't going to be out that much money and THANKFULLY the Lafayette store had their head on straight. what happened to this place?? no other customers in the store, 3 employees standing around watching me as they are playing with each other, one black guy had obsession with pinching nipples. I asked front desk if anyone talks to customers or they only talk to each other, she tells me I just have to go ask them for help. she then calls them, I tell him im just looking for an unlocked phone to transfer. I chose the phone and paid, he handed me the box. I asked if he was transferring m, he told me I would have to that, he doesn't know how. another employee told me to download the smart switch app. they then resumed their joking around. On august 1st 2024 i Ordered a tv through progressive leasing by Lauren an employee of Bestbuy. Lauren informed my mother and I that the tv I wanted was not instock and had to be ordered and because of the price of the tv it qualified for free shipping to our house. I was also informed by Lauren it would arrive a week later on August 8th. Came home from work on August 8th 2024 only to find out that the tv had not been delivered. I called the customer service department only to find out that it was not put on delivery and was at the store ready for pickup. Upon arriving at the store i had informed an employee of the situation and the employee proceeded to "search" for the tv for about 20 mins. The employee then proceeded to tell me when he came back that they do not have the tv and questioned if it had been ordered at all. The employee didn't even try to rectify the situation and just immediately offered a refund. He refunded my order and I left. I will not be returning any time soon. read more

Came in to Best Buy to try to avoid driving down to Indy to the Apple store... but I will never try to take that shortcut again and just make the drive. I rarely ever leave reviews but I can't imagine anyone else walking in to drop $3k on a computer and be happy about the service here. Walked in and waited around the Apple section for about 10 minutes.. a handful of employees walked past and didn't even ask if I needed anything or even said hi. I was clearly waiting to be helped and not just browsing. I was in there ready to buy a new MacBook Pro... I knew what I wanted and when finally approached the guy could only said "ok". Nothing else. When I continued to ask about software that could come preloaded he responded with a "I'm not even sure what you are talking about". "Apple Master" was the title on his name tag... do yourself a favor Best Buy and find a new title for someone of this caliber. I am infuriated! I am returning a dishwasher because it's junk. A new one was supposed to be installed today. I got a confirmation call last night, a text and another call this morning. Then it all goes to crap from there. I received a call this afternoon from the installation company saying that the installers had quit and BB would call me to reschedule. I immediately called BB and was told I'd receive a call back today. No one called so I called back. I was given several different stories. One was that my dishwasher was back ordered. Another said it was damaged and another person said it was returned to the warehouse. I was on the phone for over 1.5 hours and was hung up on twice, transferred to the wrong department 4 times. I asked for a supervisor at least 50 times and never got transferred to anyone that was willing or able to help. During this call my appointment was randomly rescheduled without my permission or notification for 12/21. That's over a month away and completely unacceptable. I will be filling a corporate complaint and will never do business with BB ever again if I don't have my new dishwasher by the end of this week. read more

My daughter showed up on time for her car remote installation that I bought her for Christmas. Waited over a month for an appointment with Geek Squad. Drove almost an hour, and the store was closed when she got there. She waited an hour until they opened, and was told she was late, so they couldn't see her. When she first arrived, she let me know they were closed, so I called and called the number on the paperwork to let Geek Squad know that she was in the parking lot waiting, No one answered because it was the store number, and the store was CLOSED. So, she was turned away, through NO FAULT of her own, and had to drive an hour back home without her installation completed. The Geek Squad guy wasn't even apologetic, just made her feel like it was her fault! This was a terrible experience. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

I went there looking for a cheap laptop to use when traveling. The service was terrible. I found an hp laptop at a reasonable price. There were suppose to be two in stock, but since the person helping me could not find them he told me they probably sold them already. I asked if he could call another store in the area to see if there was one available and he told me that I could go to the store and find out but he did not think that they had any. He told me to just go online and have one shipped, but I needed it for a project in a couple of days. He told me that they had plenty of the expensive laptops in stock. He did not care one way or the other if I found one and his whole attitude was one of being bothered. I always come to this Best Buy in Kokomo and this is the third time I've seen the same cashier (heavyset young man with dark hair and glasses) playing with his phone which I don't know if it's OK with store policy. BUT what happened to me now is way too much to disregard: As I approached the register, this guy who is playing with his phone, makes a sign telling me to WAIT FOR HIM! After I selected what I wanted, checkout was quick and painless. Their prices are reasonable, and they have a wider selection of electronics than most other places in Kokomo. Never again will I go to ANY Best buy. I bought a new radio and had it installed with all the options to make my steering wheel & bluetooth controls still work. Cost me $600 aftre all the "extras" they said I needed. Anyway, after all that I could not call or receive a phone call on bluetooth. After MUCH playing around and calling various people to help them, they tell me its my PHONES fault!!?? WTH! Its a new Galaxy phone that worked fine with my other radio!~! Since I travel for business I told them that will NOT do and take it out and put my old radio back in!! They did hat but still charged me installation! For what?? My overall experience ended positively but it was not a positive experience in general. The staff seemed preoccupied and did not make contact for the first half of the visit. Once it finally got to talk to an employee about replacing my phone, I found her extremely rude. she had no interest in solving my problem. Rather than answering a simple question she shoved a computer screen in my face to emphasize a point. The one saving grace was the gentleman who helped me in the PC department. Went in for a simple ipad trade in, saved the value online 112$ which was good for another day. They told me I could only get 55$ the current trade in value (what is the point in saving your value then?) They tell me they can't adjust trade in prices in store. Really you can't give me the price I saved in my email that says take your item to customer service? No instead they tell me I have to do the process entirely online now. I'm a very unhappy customer after having spent thousands of dollars at this location over a decade I get treated like this? For a company called "Best Buy" their prices sure are expensive. I paid $60 for a keyboard case for my ipad that I was told by the sales rep was "top of the line." It stopped working after a week and the customer service people told me to exchange it rather than return it. The second case stopped working after a month and when I attempted to return it the second time they no longer carried the case, and since I had surpassed the 15 day return policy they would not even give me store credit. They are not here to help their customers. Do not trust their recommendations and do not shop at this company. read more
