Can't speak to anyone at store about updates on your products you leave at the geek squad. online is horrible. They send you to a different call center in a different country where they do not speak English. They should not be a service center for apple products it looks very bad. read more

I had an amazing experience at this location! My MacBook Air has been giving me problems lately so I took it to the geek squad. I had to pay the $149.99 for it to get fixed and I'm not going to lie, I was very nervous about this because what if they weren't able to fix it and I was out this much money? Luckily, Bryson was able to fix it but it was not easy. He truly went above and beyond for me. It was such a difficult fix that he stayed late after work by two hours one night just to get it done. He even watched an hour long video on how to fix the problem. He kept me updated throughout the process which I really appreciated. He was clear, professional and friendly the whole time. When I went to pick up my laptop, it was like a brand new computer. I am so thankful for Bryson's hard work and dedication to fixing my laptop. I would pay the $150 in a heartbeat if I had to do things over again. In the long run, it's saving me a ton of money since I would've had to buy a new one. The lady at the front that greets people is very friendly too. I saw her the day I dropped off my laptop as well of the day picking it up. This location has a hand sanitizing and glove station set up which is awesome! They are following COVID guidelines very well. read more

As far as Best Buy locations are concerned, this is probably one of my least favorite locations. I came here to look for something Saturday after Black Friday while I was waiting for my fiance to meet up with me. The store in general is very small. Similar layout to the one that is in Alabaster. Stock on hand is very limited and they didn't have everything I was looking for. Now, that being said, I am taking into account the fact this was the busiest time of the year to shop, they simply don't have much stock on hand. They did appear to have stock of promotional items that were intended for Black Friday shoppers. I tried to ask a question of a store employee and they mumbled something and kept walking. The customers were quite friendly and went out of the way to make room for people - the store was very crowded. I really don't think I would have any reason to shop at this store in the future considering it's limited stock. If I was in the area I would check it out, but certainly wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

On January 23, 2020 my wife and I visited the Best Buy in Oxford, AL to get a tablet kid friendly tablet for our daughter. My wife really wanted the 10 inch Kids Amazon Fire. Sadly they were out of stock. We settled on the 8 inch (at $129.99 before tax) and went home. After a few days, we decided to return the item and get what we originally wanted. So on January 30, 2020 we returned to the Oxford Best Buy and ordered the Amazon Fire 10 inch Kids with 64 GB (at 189.99 before tax) to be delivered to my home as they said it was the fastest way to get the product. Today, February 4, 2020 we get a package in the mail, but it wasn't the product we ordered. Instead we were given a Amazon Fire 10 32GB. There was no paperwork in the box or even a receipt. It wasn't even the kids version either. I called the Oxford store to figure out what is wrong. I was on hold multiple times for the course of 30 minutes to which the only solution was to return the item to the store within 14 days and order the proper product to which, Matt, the manager said it could take 3-6 months to receive the order. Completely dissatisfied with his solution, I immediately called the corporate number on their website. A gentleman named Chris answered my call. When I asked him if he was at corporate, he told me no. So when I inquired about the number, he told me to "google it". I told him I had and that is how I reached him, I was put on hold for another 15 minutes when he finally came on and gave me the accurate number. I called that number and got ahold of Jen. Again, on hold for over 15 minutes, she tells me looking at the receipt that I got exactly what was ordered (my receipt mirrors my original request). After I gave her the proper SKU for my desired item, she told me that the order failure was on the store and that I'd have to return to any store and the order can be fixed. So from the bottom to the top, I'm still left out over $200, the wrong product, and forced to wait weeks to get HOPEFULLY the right product in. I chose Best Buy because I expected professional and attentive human service versus online and robots. I absolutely abhor this experience and will not only be getting a refund, I'll never do business with Best Buy ever again. read more

This store when it first opened was really lacking in customer service but in the last year or so it has become fantastic. John and Gordon are great managers and on the sales floor Derek, Austin and Hayley are fantastic as well. They will go out of their way to help, they are very knowledgeable and super friendly. The prices are fair and they have a good return policy. I use to drive all the way to Birmingham to avoid going to this store and I no longer have to do this. This is a review for the Geek Squad inside Best Buy, authorized to perform repairs for Apple products, specifically iPhones. I have been 3 times to appointments where they tell me they cannot replace the battery and try convince me to buy a new phone. I gave up and went to Apple. The took care of me right away. I've had some bad experiences here. One time 4 people were standing at the entrance greeting people as they come in, and there was nobody to help me in the store. Their registers are a crap shoot. The person at the register might not be working it. The customer service desk is used as a register half the time and you end up waiting while someone is returning something just to buy an item. read more

I came here to upgrade my daughters iPhone. I upgraded mine last week in San Diego. I got a military discount in San Diego. I ask for one here in Alabama. This store is a decent size. My father in law loves visiting this store. He doesn't have to drive over to the next town when he needs to buy something that Best Buy may carry. All of the employee are pretty polite and the store is clean and bright. read more

Went to get a new laptop computer. A Geek Squad employee took the time to go over and explain the best laptops for what I do online. Then a Best Buy employee helped me out with a good explanation of the laptop I needed. He even went up on one of those ladders to find the particular computer I wanted and checked me out personally.
