The problem is that they wanted to rob me on the price of Freon - they wanted $1950 for 13# of Freon that I just bought a 25# drum for $326. I told them that I would provide the Freon. They refused to do the job. This is really bad business for both them and the Trane Company. i am a retired HVAC and Refrigeration engineer and technician and even asked for them to get the compressor from Trane and I would install it myself. They refused that as well. They are set and determined to rob senior citizens with excessive markups on Freon.

I purchased a used John Deere garden tractor from Coweta Power Equipment. When purchased for about…read more$1,400 I was told it had been lightly used, serviced by them and in great shape. In reality the transmission was blown on the tractor and would fail within 5 minutes of starting to mow. When I told Coweta Power that the transmission was bad (within a day of buying the tractor) they would not take it back. I ended up paying about $1,300 more dollars for them to replace the transmission. The employees and owner were difficult to work with and fought with me every step of the way. I would never do business with this company again and would warn anyone buying from them that they are not honest in the products they sell.

Well, I tried to take this up with Troy Bilt which is where it started. Bought a brand new TB 350…read moremower on line. Speed control didn't work out of the box. I called them and they told me I had to take it to Newnan Power Equipment, about 20 miles from my house. Mower had yet to be used, spotless when I took it there. It took over 3 weeks. They replaced the speed control assy. When I picked it up, I didn't recognize it. It was filthy - dirt, leaves, and other debris all over it, engine housing scratched up, grease spots, just nasty. The guy said he used it to mow the property. Looked like it was used hard and often. There is no excuse for service like this. They did not have to mow with it at all to make sure the speed control was working properly. I called Troy Bilt customer service and was told it was not their problem and that I would have to work it out with the repair facility. Huh? It's their new mower that didn't work and a facility they picked that I had to take it to...and they accept no responsibility? Heck of a way to run a business. They should call it customer disservice. I filed a complaint and someone in management was supposed to call me back. That was over 2 weeks ago, so here I am. There is nothing I can do at this point but give neither of them any more of my business. My advice is to shop elsewhere folks...and do not take anything to Newnan Power Equipment. I have photos of the misused mower.
