I recently went there to buy a $600 iPhone 16. The usual process was to convert the wife's old 7 to the newer one. Historically, they were happen to convert the data to the newer model. So you can imagine my surprise when they said they're now charging $50 for the old service. We just spent $600+ and want that. I had the worst experience than any store I have ever dealt with. I order a GE range and was supposed to have it delivered on a Tuesday. Deliver time was 7:30 am to 11:30am. The truck finally showed up at about 1:30 pm. Delivery guys looked to be teenagers. They were going to hook up a gas stove. They take it off the truck and one guy comes inside and looks at the stove they were to haul off and says we can't install it because we don't have the connection hose. They put it back on the truck and I was told to reschedule. I rescheduled for two days later. The truck showed up and the driver came to the door. I can't take it off the truck because I don't have the connection hose . I called customer no service again and I was told to reschedule. They could not explain to me how this could happen twice except to say they did not have the hose in stock. I said you sent two trucks and wasted my time knowing that you couldn't install the range twice and to just cancel my order. I said that they should take $200 off the price for 5he two days I stayed home waiting only to waste my two days time. I was told we will disconnect 10% and that is all. That would amount to about $90 off and I said just cancel the order. She said we can't do that right then and to call back tomorrow to cancel. I am 70 years old and I have never seen such incompetence in all my years and they really did Not care. read more

I went in this past weekend to look at buying a Samsung Galaxy Watch 8. I had considered getting an Apple watch, but found out it was not compatible with my Samsung S25+ which I love. I just traded in my S20 after 5 years of the phone working really well. We switched phone carriers and the new carrier had a decent promotion which allowed me to upgrade to the 25S+. After a lengthy period of time looking for an associate to help us, with at least six associates standing in the computer area staring at their phones and laughing it up, I was ready to leave. My husband finally managed to get someone to come answer some questions. As soon as the guy found out my husband had an Apple, he completely ignored me and headed over to sell my husband something. We got my husband started on paying for his phone through some promotion and I asked about the Samsung watch. The guy rolled his eyes and turned his back to walk away. I asked if he didn't want to make a sale to me too. He said "I am not wasting my time with you. Samsung is a S*** product" and walked off. Another guy in an Apple shirt asked me why I would buy a "crappy" product like Samsung. I told him I had switched over from Apple to Samsung almost 5 years ago and I loved my phone. He started telling me how he was not going to "argue" with me about "statistics" and "studies" about how much better Apple was, and how I was going to have to buy a new phone in about a year because my phone would not work because it was "garbage." I told him I had my phone for 5 years and had never had a problem, but my husband had been through 3 Apple phones in that time and most had been a nightmare, but my husband is a creature of habit and doesn't want to change phones. He again reiterated that he wasn't going to "argue facts" with me. I told him he was exactly right- that I was not there to argue and the conversation was over. He said "Good luck finding someone." Both the associate in the Best Buy shirt and the "Apple" associate were extremely condescending and demeaning. I would NEVER set foot back in that store again. read more

These fellas were so helpful and very caring when it came to my Amazon purchase, which I was picking up there. This is my first time doing a pick up, and there were some difficulties at first, but John made sure that we got to the bottom of the confusion, and Delta came through and added some of his expertise. The price advertised on the display was not the price the radar detector was. I asked the sales associate to speak with a manager and the manager did not take the time to explain to me why their mistake in advertising was not gonna be honored. They just relayed the message to the associate. This happened around 7:30 PM November 2nd in their car audio department. The associate was helpful but management both not taking the time to assist me and denying the advertised price was pretty detached and their "no" response to my question was very curt. Ordered dishwasher a month ago. Installation has been rescheduled several times. Received multiple texts messages saying delivery an install was going to be between 8 and noon yesterday. No one ever showed up, no one ever called. I've called the call center twice, after being on hold for over 20 minutes both times; they've come back with no answer. All they can say is that they will call the store, and someone should call me back. No one has called, I have no idea where the dishwasher is at. I can't even figure out how to get my money back at this point. Guess I have to dispute the charges at this point. Best Buy as a whole has been going downhill for several years now. Cheap prices come at a price. They will gladly take your money, good luck on getting what you paid for. I bought 10 appliances from Best Buy. My Samsung dishwasher has major issues just 1 year later. It is suppose to be under a 1 to 5 year warranty. Well Good Luck!! Best Buy refers you to call Samsung, Samsung refers you to call Cyber World Electronics. I call Cyber World Electronics and made an appointment ten days out. "Which was the first day available." Since I do not live at this house I had to take off from work, leave my house at 6am. and drive three hours to make it to this house so I would not miss this appointment. An hour before the appointment Cyber World called to tell me they could not be here today. They only had one technician. They charged my card $98 in advance before I could even schedule an appointment. When I called the local Savannah office for Cyber World they took my information and did not call me back. Last holiday season, my husband and I decided to upgrade our phones. When purchasing a new phone, I like to show up at the store with a phone case in hand and make sure the representative puts the device into the case, right out of the box before they set it down anywhere. Call me crazy but with the hefty price tag on smartphones these days and how much I use it, can you blame me? I am also scarred from a past experience, two phones ago to be exact. We were upgrading our phones and I took that baby home, without a case. You're like, okay, and? I had ordered the case while I was in the store because they didn't have the one I wanted. I was living in Hawaii at the time and Prime delivery in Hawaii is 3 days at a minimum. So I was going about my life and it was Day 3 of having this phone and lo and behold, the phone drops at exactly the right angle and *c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-raaaaaaaaack* (imagine my face reacting in slow motion...noooooooooooo). Yeah. Exactly. Shock and then sheer devastation *insert ugly crying GIF here*. And then to add more salt to the wound, the case arrived later that day. And there was no avoiding that crack. Saw it every day for the next two long years. So lesson learned, I always show up with the case. Anyway, back to the review. I ordered the case online at Best Buy (BB) and their selections were great. I selected the curbside pick up option and I received an email shortly after confirming that order was ready for pick up. When we got to the store, there were designated numbered parking spots for curbside pick up. I checked in and a staff member came out shortly after with my order! It was so quick and easy. Called to have Best Buy set up the Tv again. I was told at the store that whenever I moved they would set up the tv free of charge. Now I find out that for them to come out and just connect the tv the charge is $160.00. A quick sell by the employee to give false information is a dirty trick to play with a customer. Never Again. I don't believe I'll ever buy another computer here again. Earlier this year my laptop needed service. Geek squad told me it was beyond repair, so I took their advice and bought a new one. Took the old one to another service repair shop, Tweaks by Geeks, and they fixed it for $100. STRIKE ONE. STRIKE TWO. I just bought an all-in-one basic computer for grand daughter to use for school. One week out of the box and it got damaged. Okay, so geek squad sent it out for repair. The repair price quoted was ridiculous, over $400, and more than I paid for the computer. Told them to return it to the store so we could pick it up. Took me half an hour to make an appointment (why do I need one) to pick up a computer that hasn't been repaired. Then took it to Tweaks by Geeks and they fixed it for $82. I always try to give benefit of the doubt, but in this case I feel like the geek squad service dept is deceptive, lazy and/or incompetent. read more

The worst customer service ever and if you expect to find some help with a particular part of item, bring a flair gun.. The employees think they are so well informed (mainly the young guys) but in reality are rude, ill informed and just not interested. I was lied to during my initial phone call to the local store regarding a bad NIC card on a 4 month old Compaq. I was told that my laptop will be looked at on premises by a group of technicians. When I got there they told me I had to deal with Compaq directly and it just got worse from there. I spoke to the manager about the service and he was aloof at best, stating "we rarely get complaints" Well: 1. I don't believe that at all. 2. I came in on March 1st about 11:15am. Parking lot was not full so knew I could be in and out within a few minutes. I saw lots of staff wearing the blue polos but trying to catch anyone's eye for help was a lost cause. They would see you but, even when your standing right next to them they would ignore or not acknowledge you there. I ended up stopping someone to help me but even after looking up what I couldn't find. Instead of offering to show me the next best thing she just pointed to where I could find something. If I wanted to purchase it myself I could have just ordered it online but instead I wanted an actual person help me decide. I walked around the store to different blue shirt staff hoping someone could/would offer to help. Nothing. I ended up stopping someone that looked to be on a mission that was walking through the Apple department asking if he could help me. His reply they are unstaffed and it isn't his area... okay so apparently Best Buy doesn't want my business... he takes me over to another person helping someone and they give me some ideas of what the next best thing is but doesn't know if it's in stock or not. Okay can someone find someone to look?! Honestly, this is f-ing* ridiculous!!! All I wanted was a iPad Pro 9.7in lifeproof case with Bluetooth keyboard I had checked the website that morning and it said they had some in store. I have been terribly dissatisfied with the behavior of Appliance Manager, Jay Hill, at this store. He displayed an inability to pay attention to the details of an order as well as a total lack of concern for the hardship that I encountered as a result of his team's repeated errors. My initial order for a washer / dryer was made in early January. When the units were being installed it was discovered that both the washer and the dryer were damaged. In addition, there was a part missing that was required for stacking the units. The store agreed the units would be replaced. Because I was traveling in February, the date for the exchange and installation of the new units was set for early March. However, when the date arrived, the installation team decided not to make the exchange because no one had ordered the missing part. They rescheduled for mid April. With the onset of the corona virus having an impact in Savannah, I did not want to wait until mid April to have a functioning washer and dryer. I asked for other solutions. The management team said they would no longer make deliveries in home or do installations. I was told I had to bring the damaged units to them for an exchange at the store. They required me (a single woman in my sixties) to get the damaged units down two flights of stairs, into a trailer, over to the store location. Once I arrived at the store, Mr. Hill told me they wouldn't take the units. (This after insisting in prior conversations that the only way I could get functioning units was if I brought the damaged units to them.) I said I wasn't leaving without a working washer and dryer. As you might imagine, I was not a happy camper at that point. They then agreed to make the exchange. I loaded up the washer / dryer into the trailer, drove it back across town, had each unit brought up two flights of stairs, spent an hour and half working through the installation instructions, and paid my hired help. It was only through my persistence, hired outside help, and $330 out of my pocket, that I finally got a working washer and dryer installed and operating at my home this past week. The conditions under which I bought the washer and dryer (with free in home delivery and installation) obviously changed because of the impact of the corona virus. However, at no time, did I feel like Mr. Hill and the management team at Savannah Best Buy were interested in finding a solution for me. In truth, I felt they were indifferent, if not down right dismissive. At no time, did anyone on the management team offer me a discount or credit or condolences for my trouble. People with such a poor attitude towards customers should leave the retail industry! There were two Savannah Best Buy employees who treated this issue with professionalism and courtesy when I spoke with them...their names were Sasha and Jeremy. Returns here are not a bother and if you forget something at the store they don't screw you over. I went to buy a chrome book. The sale price was $299. The sales associate said the price was good for a week. I took a proper picture of the tag showing the price for that chrome book. I wanted to go home and check the Internet for a better price. The next day I went to the Best Buy website and noticed that it was $60 more. I called customer service and they told me that since I had a picture of that price tag they would honor that price. When I went to the store the department manager would neither honor the associates word or the customer service word even though I had a picture of the price tag. Over the years I have spent thousands of dollars on electronics at Best Buy. But because of this I will not spend another penny. For $60 they have lost a loyal customer with friends. read more

I haven't been in a Best Buy in quite awhile due to the fact that I can get almost any item the carry at other stores or online for the same price or cheaper. Overall, it is a very nice looking store, and a they have a huge selection. However, the staff is not very knowledgable, and don't seem to want to be there. My biggest complaint however and the reason for this negative review is their price match policy. Bottom line, I found an item they carry on 3 separate websites, one of which is listed specifically in there price match terms on their website for $120 less, and they refused to honor it. (Model # matched exactly) So I bought the item online, and even with 2 day shipping saved $100 dollars. I won't return for awhile, if at all. read more

I bought a Ring 4 Video Doorbell and had Best Buy Total Tech install it. I had to go to a last minute sales appt so I wasn't home when they installed it. My wife asked them to get the video working before leaving but they did not. It turns out the doorbell had been installed before and later returned to the store and they sold it to me without telling me it was a returned item. The video had been attached to the previous buyers phone and now it can't be attached to another phone because of Ring security protocol. I called Best Buy and after some arm twisting they agreed to replace the Ring doorbell and install the new one for free. However, the TotalTech work order says to install a doorbell but they gave the tech a chime instead. Now they insist I'm supposed to get a chime. I've been on the phone and chat for hours. All they do is tell me about their policies and red tape. I keep telling them MY policy is that I get treated right. Very sorry. I guess I will buy another one and everything else tech I need from now on from Amazon. read more

Having had such horrible experiences with Home Depot and Lowes after recently moving here (Home Depot messed up our carpet and laminate order and were literally out here 6 times and it still isn't right, and Lowes delivered the washer/dryer with the wrong cords and a refrigerator they couldn't level, blaming my floor being uneven and telling me they had "other customers" so they couldn't stay and make it level), we decided to try Best Buy for a dishwasher. We bought the dishwasher last week with a delivery scheduled for Friday, 2/28. We got a confirmation call on 2/27. We boarded our dogs and took the day off of work to wait for them. At 4:45 with no contact from them, we called, only to be told our delivery had been accidentally sent to Atlanta and there was nothing they can do. The first customer service person I talked to hung up on me, the Best Buy store manager said there was nothing they could do but I could get the dishwasher next week. I asked if they would waive the delivery and installation charge and he said they don't do that, so I instructed him to cancel the order. His reply was "ok". I guess they are doing so well they don't need a $900 sale. If you are in need of anything delivered and installed near Savannah, do not use any of the Big Box stores - they're terrible. And don't use a local carpet installer from Romanoff - they were disgraceful, and that's who Home Depot uses. The carpet were re-done in July, and we already have to have them replaced due to seams splitting. And definitelty don't use Best Buy. read more

Went to Best Buy in Savannah, GA to have a tablet serviced. Was told I needed an appointment, when attempting to schedule I was told the next available appointment to DROP OFF (not have any service done, not have anyone look at it, just drop it off) was 14 days from today (07/21 appointment). When I asked why I could not just drop it off today and then have them get to it on the 23rd I was told that the Corporate office does not let them touch the service items for 2 days once dropped off. Now I am not that smart, but if an item is dropped off on 07/07 and they dont look at it till 07/23 that seems like more than a 2 day quarantine. When I pointed this out to both the employee who was scheduling my DROP OFF and the assistant manager they both said this was corporate policy and covid was the cause. I am so tired of hearing Covid caused this and that it when the issue has nothing to due with the pandemic. A 2 week waiting time to DROP OFF a product for service is absolutely stupid, I understand the service can take some time, but a 2 week wait to DROP IT OFF absolutely STUPID. read more
