This is gonna be a mixed review on Best Buy as a whole. I can not stress this enough! If you have an issue with absolutely anything, do not call!! Your call will be transferred to someone in Minnesota and they don't know what's going on in the individual stores. They sent me on a wild goose chase to pick up my new MacBook from Winchester to sterling and back then to Martinsburg where the salesperson said it would be in the first place. (The person at the call center said it wasn't there) Andre the Manager is someone that gets stuff done not like the idiots in the call center. Emma was my salesperson and was a tremendous help as well. I strongly suggest that you deal with them and if they get moved to a different store that's the one I would go to. There was 3 techs in geek squad. Only 1 was doing something with a customer. The other 2 were in the back goofing off. All while I was there waiting to do a simple transfer and send my phone to apple for repairs. What makes it worse, is they knew why I was there because I was there 40 minutes prior and had to go back home and get a spare phone to use while Apple had my phone. read more

We purchased an Insignia 13.8 cu ft freezer from Best Buy at the end of April, 2023. When returning home from a trip on June 8,2024, we discovered the freezer had failed. The power was still on but the high temperature indicator was illuminated. After discussions with our neighbors there had been no electrical surges or outages during our absence. The freezer was fully stocked and all the food was spoiled. We then spent three days and countless efforts trying to remove the smell of the spoiled food from the freezer. We were unsuccessful in removing the smell. The freezer had a 12 month warranty. While we recognized that the freezer was no longer under warranty, we felt that the freezer failure at a little over 13 months deserved some consideration from Best Buy - perhaps a credit towards the purchase of a new freezer. To this end, we contacted Best Buy customer service who indicated that the only consideration they could offer would be a technician visit at a cost of $130.00 to us. We declined as the remaining smell in the freezer negated any further usage. We feel that our experience with the customer service at Best Buy was extremely unsatisfactory, particularly since we had purchased an inferior product. We will not be purchasing from Best Buy again. read more

Stopped in to buy a new iPhone for our daughter. There was no one at the counter in that area so we checked in at customer service. We spoke with Robert who assured us that the person working in that area would be back shortly. When we told him that we wanted to buy a new phone and that we knew which model, he offered to get the phone for us and showed us options. He then directed us back to the phone counter. An unhelpful man told my daughter that he could not help her with her current broken phone and said geek squad might be able to help. The person there was also not helpful. We went back to Robert who looked up our trade in and got her a good amount that we applied to our purchase. Robert should get 5 stars. Best buy barely gets 3 stars. read more

Be very careful about buying the membership/protection services. I did this for a cell phone purchase hearing "two year protection". But the $179 for this is ANNUALLY!! I could buy a new phone after two years for this money. After two days, I canceled the membership but got charged $70 for services received !! For two days??? The service is a piece of ----- selection is fine---- value comes to nothing because they charge on how much you print. Each month I have chrgs. for ink and paper. I received pkg. of paper a while back but never no ink. My personal opinion is I feel that not telling about this when I signed up for there service changed, make it short. Poor customer service. Horrible customer service. I bought a Viper remote start 2 years ago as a Christmas present to myself. But, Winchester has no techs to install it. So on that Nee Years Eve I had to go to Sterling to have it installed. As I pulled out of the installation bay my windows started going crazy. Going up and down randomly. So, I drove back in to get that taken care of. Since that time I have had nothing but issues with the electrical system in my truck. I have had it back to distant Best Buys to have it checked as it had not functioned properly since it was installed. In 2 years, it has drained and ruined three batteries causing a need for their replacement. Very expensive The last time we put in a new battery we put a switch on it so that when I get home I have to pop the hood and cut off the battery to keep it from getting drained of power. We did this for me to use until Best Buy removes the Remote start, that I no longer want on my vehicle. It is my belief that the module is defective. And I am tired of the expense and having to open the hood and turn on and off my battery to keep it from being drained. I called the main Customer Service number and was transferred 3 times. I waited for 10-15 minutes each time so I thought they were informing the next person what I had already told them was going on. But, I had to tell my story three times and when the fourth guy came on the line he and asked me, once again, what I had called about. I didn't mean to, but I commented "You have got to be kidding and the asshole hung up on me This week (February 21st) went to the store to try and get the Viper removed. The assistant manager there agreed with me that it was as probably a bad module itself. Since I had been reassured twice that it was connected correctly. So today I get an email from the tech in Hagerstown, MD that he would need the truck for a full day to try and figure out what was going on and wouldn't be able to schedule that until after the first of April. More money for gas and how do I spend my day In Hagerstown, doing what? I want the defective product removed from my truck and I emailed that back to him, but haven't heard back yet. I have used to be a loyal customer and member of their rewards program but, I will never purchase anything from Best Buy ever again. At the mobile center to get a screen protector replaced with the warranty and all the employee have done is walk by me and stand down the isle. 25 min and no help. Save yourself the trouble. I am a total tech subscriber & went to Best Buy in Winchester Va to purchase security cameras for my home. A salesperson highly recommended Arlo & sold me 4 cameras & 4 solar panels for over $500 which included installation by a third party (at no time did the Best Buy sales rep ask what speed my internet was & qualify his recommendation based on internet speed. I was scheduled two weeks out with no specific time window requiring me to be at home the entire day. Installation team (2people) arrived early afternoon. They did not have a ladder & asked to borrow mine (what if I didn't have a ladder?). One person began drilling holes in my siding to install the first of 4 solar panels, while the other tried to connect the cameras to my phone (I have an iPhone 13) - I had downloaded the Arlo app. Unable to connect the cameras to my phone, I was asked questions about my Comcast internet & they asked to come into my house to inspect my router. They concluded that I had 5 G internet & explained that Arlo had not upgraded their software which could only operate on 2.4 G internet - they suggested that I contact Comcast & request 2.4 G internet in lieu of my currently 5 G internet. I said I was not going to downgrade my internet to accommodate the shortcomings of Arlo. They said I could go back to Best Buy & ask for a refund, that they didn't know why Best Buy kept selling Arlo cameras because connecting was an ongoing problem for people with 5 G internet. I returned everything to Best Buy & was astonished at the lack of concern that I was returning over $500 worth of security camera equipment after waiting two weeks for Installation only to be told that my internet was too fast for Arlo products & installers left 6 holes in my siding after determining that they could not connect the cameras. The whole process was an epic waste of time, my siding is now permanently damaged & I don't have security cameras which is why I went to Best Buy in the first place! I would not recommend Best Buy in Winchester or Arlo security cameras, very unprofessional, and wasted my time & damaged my home! read more

We went in to purchase a wifi hotspot for an Airbnb property that we were starting. The gentlemen that initially helped us was very helpful. After purchasing the device and attempting to activate it at home, we were informed by customer support that the hotspot was defective and that we would have to return it. Upon taking it back and exchanging it, we asked if we could have someone from the store`s staff help us activate it to ensure there were no issues. After waiting for several minutes an employee came over and stated that they were short staffed and that they "don`t do that type of thing". We can completely understand that, given the times we're currently living in. However, the insolent and condesending tone that the employee used was completely unprofessional. Then after spending another 40 minutes on the phone in the parking lot with the hotspot`s customer service, we were informed that the second device was defective as well. Best Buy Winchester will never see another penny of our money and we will ensure others are aware of the less than professional personnel they choose to employ. read more

I stopped here to purchase a calculator for school. While I walked around I decided to get a new smart watch. The two young ladies who helped were polite and patient the entire time. I believe Ashlee is the name of the second girl who helped me wrap up my visit at this Best Buy. Kudos to her! She was courteous and mindful of my situation and made sure to make me feel welcomed. She also ensured to notify other patrons that we would be attended as soon as possible while we all waited. Keep up the great customer service!! read more

Just wanna thank these guys for selling me the slimmest stream line model of the iPhone, had no problems slipping it into my rectum the day before I went to prison. (although the charger proved to be a little more difficul) I was able to make roughly three times what I paid for the phone off of fellow cellmates in the three months I was in. Best Buy (Jubal Early Dr., Winchester) was absolutely useless when I had a computer hardware issue. Needed to make an appointment (with some foreign-accented customer service representative I could hardly understand probably on the other side of the globe) to bring in our heavy Dell desktop tower. Geek Squad rep. took a cursory glance and said it's too old and most likely nothing can be done. On top of that, this Best Buy store doesn't even carry the new iPad Pro (8th generation)--had to order direct from Apple (great customer service from Apple!).
