This location is just horrible. They don't really have people around to ask questions and when you do find someone they either don't understand the question or maybe it was the prudct idk, but i thought we were pretty clear in saying "We're looking for a Samsung or Sony TV that is around 55" or bigger that is 4K and under $1400" that was clear right? i don't get where the confusion was? anyways since they kept showing us all these terrible tiny TV's around 30-40" we just left and didn't buy one from there, instead got it from somewhere else. Another issue I have is they ask you to get warranty on everything even things you don't need it for. Then there's how you can't get a hold of any bloody person ever! their phones just say you have to go to the store, because yeah i'm gonna bus all the way down there just to see if you have what i'm looking for? yeah, no i'm not doing that like ever, i'd rather get it from amazon then. Not everyone drives and not everyone even people who do drive want to waste bus fair or gas on a trip down there just to see if something is in stock. This is so ridiculous. Especially for people with social anxiety or people like my sibling who is Autistic and can't be asking for help in a store, calling is hard enough for them but like this shop doesn't care. Horrible customer service. Never buy anything from their website. If anything goes wrong (like not receiving the order), they say, you bought from market place, you have to follow with vendor yourself, and if you ask for refund, the same answer. It cannot be, I ordered on Bestbuy website, I paid on the Bestbuy website, and I got a receipt from Bestbuy. Bestbuy have to be responsible. The worst part is you all the phone numbers online just go to a call center, and if you go to the store you get the rude, indifference customer care that Bestbuy train it to its employees and managers. Worst customer service. in Feb 2022, I bought a waffle iron online. it eventually arrived. The green ready light never came on, it smoked and burnt the batter all in less than a minute. We unplugged it, it burnt itself out. logged into chat, I kept a Copy of the chat window. No problem return it to a store. Tole them my son would take it in for me. His first attempt, they closed by 7pm. Fine. Today he tried the St James location. He had the chat text, he had the invoice, he had the product AND THE CREDIT CARD IS ON FILE. He did not wish another potential fire issue, there was nothing he wanted from Best Buy. He wanted a refund. Apparently he has to return at third time with MY physical credit card To get a refund. Never mentioned in the chat. Amazon , Walmart, Indigo, Staples , all online vendors refund on my credit card without me being present. After having multiple issues with their delivery service (no text or call updates, no returned messages or emails) Today should have been the third delivery attempt. I took all day off to stay at home in my living room next to my front door and there wasnt a single knock at my door, text message or phone call. I saw they had updated the online tracking to "attempted to deliver" and I realized their delivery service has uploaded an old photo pretending to attempt to deliver today (I have a sign on my window asking E24 to text or call before they leave anticipating a third issue with them, that sign is not in their recent picture and I put it up yesterday) So their delivery service is commiting time fraud, pretending to deliver and wasting peoples time. I asked Best Buy to either cancel or give me some sort of compensation for my terrible experiance as I rushed home from work early yesterday and stayed home today. They did not offer a single doller of compensation after 30 min of waiting on hold so I'm opting for a refund and will not be going back to Best Buy. I'll pay more if needed and buy anywhere else. read more

Plz don't buy their extended warranty for any phone specially on iPhone. They take ur money but don't owner their own warranty. Plus have mgr who like to argue with customer just to prove customer is wrong when customer is facing the issues with product. Incident I faced was, i bought extented warranty from best buy for my iPhone 4 when my iphone home button stop working best buy moblie department mgr starting arguing about the deficit. 2nd they dont have stuff to check ur phone. You have to take to apple to get diagnostics on home button issue then best buy mgr refuse to owner their expanded warranty. When buying my phone, I was told that I had to buy the protection plan for 3 months, or pay significantly more for my phone. After 3 months, I drove in from an hour away and cancelled the plan. Four months later, I saw a charge come up on my credit card and realized that I had been charged about $60 since cancelling the plan. I called and after 15 minutes on hold, was told that the protection plan could be cancelled now, but I wasn't offered reimbursement or an apology. As well, my boyfriend had to spend 4 hours on the phone and then come in person, because the techs at Best Buy St. James had put his name onto an already existing account, so he couldn't use the phone. They also failed to disconnect his previous account and he had to pay a ridiculous amount in late interest fees because he never got the bill. read more

Buy something, it arrives broken, they leave and wave bye-bye. Seriously, this happened today. We bought a new washing machine 2 weeks ago, and it finally arrived today. They brought it downstairs to the laundry room, and hooked it up. It immediately started leaking water all over the place. Seems they either broke it in transit, or it was broken when it left the warehouse. Either way, they left and literally smiled and waved goodbye to my flustered wife as they did so. So, clearly, they have NO intention of replacing the unit, we are out over $600.00 and we still have no washing machine. I wish I could rate Best Buy -1/5. I bought an Asus laptop from them, and within 3 months it crashed and couldn't start. First: 27 calls over a 3-week period to Best Buy St James; they finally answered on the 28th try. Literally. I was keeping a tally for fun because it became so absurd. I was told they couldn't do anything for me whatsoever and to not bring it in. Second: 3 weeks later, my uncle who builds and repairs PC laptops took my Asus to see if he could at least diagnose what happened. He said the hard drive is so physically degraded that it can't start up anymore. He called Best Buy Regent (and they answered on the first try, what do you know!) and they immediately said to him that if the laptop has an issue he can bring it in, free of charge, and they will ship it to Asus themselves. Third: I call Best Buy St James and ask why I was told they couldn't do anything for me whatsoever, when I have a 1-year warranty. They brushed off my question and any responsibility, and didn't offer to send it to the manufacturer on my behalf. Fourth: I call Best Buy Regent myself, and the lady there tells me that I could bring my laptop into any Best Buy location to have it shipped, free of charge, to Asus for diagnosis and repair. Fifth: ......if you're getting tired of reading this already, imagine how exhausted I am having to chase up employees who know absolutely nothing about their policies and warranty... I call Best Buy St James again, and the lady there tells me that she will give me the "real facts" because she has been working there for a long time. She told me they could charge $50-$80 to diagnose my laptop and then ship it to Asus on my behalf, who will then diagnose and repair it. I asked her how come no other Best Buy employees told me that this was possible - and in fact, I had originally been told to not bring it in at all because they won't do anything. The lady again shunted responsibility and simply said things like "that shouldn't happen here" etc. I asked her why I would pay $50-$80 for them to diagnose my laptop when they're just going to ship it to Asus anyways who are going to diagnose it again.. she then told me that they won't charge me a diagnosis fee. Long story short: avoid Best Buy. It is absolute hell dealing with their staff. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I wish I could just get a refund for the laptop and be done with them forever. read more

I have made one major purchase at this Best Buy, it was for a desktop PC, it was supposed to be a top notch PC. The guy selling it to me, also insisted on selling us the extended warranty, which according to his words was supposed to kick in once the manufacturer warranty is over, which in turn would give me a total of 3 years of warranty. Only 6 months down the road, the almost brand new PC which was used mainly for working on university papers, and sometimes watching movies, failed to start. After taking it to Best Buy, they found that the hard drive failed.. I did not expect a brand new hard drive to fail so soon, as I've had a desktop PC before that for over 10 years, and have not had a hard drive fail even once! So I lost everything I had on it.. No back up. Took them a month to replace the part. Another few months down the road, the PC fails to start again. Take it to Best Buy, this time here is what was wrong: Hard drive fail (again), mother board burnt, processor burnt. Major fail for a computer that was just over a year old (with a brand new hard drive recently replaced). They tell me if it happens again, they will replace the whole unit. Another year down the road (this is still within the 3 years of promised warranty), the PC fails again. This time it was only the mother board. When I get to best buy, they tell me that my warranty has expired a month ago, and there is nothing they can do. Whatever the guy was telling me regarding the extended warranty kicking in after the manufacturer warranty is void, was nothing more than a bunch of lies. I had a total of 2 years of warranty rather than 3, and the PC failed on me 3 times within that period of time. I took the parts that still worked, went to another computer store, and bought myself normal working parts, rather than some refurbished garbage, and built my own PC which still stand to this day. Never again will I make any major purchase at a best buy. Beware of very poor quality product. read more

Best buy is the absolute worst for in store customer service , the younger staff there simply will not serve or speak with me , I have been there several times in fact Friday Nov 15 4:00 p.m. I wanted to buy a camera, bag etc ,, prepared to spend $1,000 at least ,, yet I kept getting pushed of to one person or another, I piled all of my items beside the camera I wanted to purchase , but after asking twice , getting pushed off , and couldn't make eye contact with any sales reps I left it all there ,, this is not the first time ,, these guy discriminate against seniors .. no wonder these places , like future shop go out of business ,, I run my own business and deal with a lot of seniors and mid life clients ,,, I will post a sign in my waiting room about these people with their elitist attitudes ,, to be sure to tell their family and friends to have nothing to do with them read more

I recommend no stars for this location as I dropped off my computer with their so called geek squad, four months ago no and have only received one phone call from them, the phone call was to tell me my system was ready and this was already around 2 months after having dropped it off, only to go down there to pick it up to find out that my computer wasn't even ready, it took them 10-15 minuets just to service me, then the guy took my invoice and disappeared for another 15-20 minutes in the back, where I'm assuming he found nothing cause he came back to tell me it wasn't ready and that whoever called was misinformed and my system was in need of a part that hadn't arrived yet, which is what they told me three weeks after dropping it off. So he then tell me to call back in a week. I called back in 2 weeks just to give them enough time to get their sh*t together, but nope not enough for this squad, they tell me the same old story and tell me at this point they usually just replace the computer, I was told they only needed to order a part and that their wasn't anything wrong with my system just the power supply which was great because all I cared about was the hard drive that had all my family photos stored on them, I didn't ask for the data transfer because there was nothing wrong with the hard drive, now they want me to pay for the data transfer after all this waiting, my computer was under warranty, makes me think that best buy is not so much with satisfying their warranted customers, I paid money when I paid for the warranty that should be just as good as gold when I return with said warranty and defective product, still no word from them, I work graveyard shift so making it down there during the day to argue with some kid over weather or not I should get my data transfer at a discounted price or pay at all is not my idea of a good day off~ best buy, more like an "ok try"! I've heard from other people they usually get good service when dropping off thier computer but they're people paying directly for the service, it seems if you have a warranty, they already have your money and are there for not important!
