You sit there as they try to draw you in by offering low prices, and then they don't tell you about the low quality of the carpet and the issues, such as visible defects and obvious quality issues. Well let me start buy saying I read most of the reviews for Best Carpet. I had my carpet installed yesterday and it went without a hitch. I went in the store found top of the line carpet at a great price I would of never found anywhere else. The padding Mario used was top of the line. Mario has always been super professional to me, my friends, and family. His installers came when they said they would show up, worked hard moving big bulky heavy furniture without a problem, and worked 9 hours completing the whole job. They deserved the lunch, drinks, and tip I gave them for a great professional install. And for the guy who said Mario seemed to be on drugs, you need to look further into things. I'm in a profession that deals with all that stuff he might be a fast talker business guy but that's the last thing I would of said about Mario. So, we've been shopping carpet for a while. Stopped by Best a few times, and finally found the carpet we liked. Mario is always helpful and pleasant. However, from there it has just gone downhill. WE had to call and find out when the measurer was coming. Once he left, we never heard back from him. WE had to call on Saturday (when the install was Monday) to find out what time they would be here. They promised to call back by end of day with a time, but they did not. WE called back after the store had closed and luckily Mario was still in - gave us a time of 9 - 9:30. Yet here I sit at 11:30 with no installers. I called an hour ago and was assured they were on their way - and would be here soon. I even said - if they are just now picking up carpet they won't be here soon...oh no, was the reply, they already have it and are on the way. 45 minutes later my husband called and they are only now finishing up a job in Chino. Really? Cuz 9:00 am should have been their first job. Husband called again and spoke with Mario (11:55) - according to him they apparently had the wrong carpet on the truck and had to go back. Not another job. So, they just lied - both to me and to my husband - To what end? I'm only more angry now. So far, I'm the opposite of impressed. Mario was very apologetic, but the damage was done at that point. They got here at 12:30, at 6 something a second team came out to help finish up...so they did their job and the carpet is nice and was a good price. But I wanted the 5 star review treatment every one else had, and I just didn't get it. While I am very disappointed in how this whole thing turned out, I wouldn't not recommend Best Carpets - the prices and availability are good and Mario is a nice guy. read more

Before I even purchased the carpet they worked with me on the time it would take to clear my whole house(which was a task)..They held the carpet I wanted.The crew from Mario on down to the installers were professional and took care of business and I didn't worry about them being in my house even when I was gone. I had a beautiful carpeted spiral stairs. We did tiles for the flooring five years back but the stairs were left as they were as our gorgeous dog, Cooper used to rush up and down through them. He passed away naturally after a glorious life of around 16 years. Now, it is time to replace the carpet and I was searching for a good carpet installer. Few came to my place and said the stairs were tricky, etc. Yelp landed me at Best Carpets shop at Monteclair (909-621-4470). Yelp has overall very good reviews for BC but a few negative comments too. I met the owner, Mario who is a very pleasing personality with friendly gesture. I asked him about the negative reviews and he explained to me the circumstances involved. After hearing his version, I feel those negative comments were falsified and exaggerated. Mario is not tired of giving samples till you are satisfied. Nobody can beat him as far as the courteous communication is concerned. He is very much service oriented and customer is very very important for him. As a matter of fact, I liked a design and scheduled the installation. But my family members wanted to go for Bur bur and so I cancelled the installation. Later on, I came to know that the carpet was cut and ready for installation. Mario refused to take any compensation for the damage and inconvenience caused. This morning, his crew of six men came and installed Bur bur quality in a most professional manner. I requested Mario to do few other things and they were done without any extra charge. Stairs look great. Thanks to Mario and his team. I strongly recommend Best Carpet because it does good job, reliable, reasonably priced, good collection and has good hearted owner and crew. Last but not the least, whether it is 300 sq ft or 3,000 sq ft customer, Mario is nice enough to create the same warmth feelings to every one at his shop. About 4 years ago, we had our family room carpet replaced by Best Carpet. We went in to the store Saturday morning, picked out what we wanted from the selection in-stock and Mario had a crew at my house 2 hours later to install. Super quick and easy. Forward to earlier this month when we needed to replace our entire upstairs flooring and install new baseboards. We shopped around and got very frustrated by the process. Then, remembered Best Carpets. Mario gave me a great quote on laminate, great looking baseboards and installation. This was a fairly big job involving two separate crews - 1 to do the laminate install and the other to do the baseboards and stairs. The only glitch was day one, when I had been told the installers would arrive by 10:30. Finally, after a couple of calls to Mario, they showed up at 2:30 and worked until 8 pm. After that, they were there every day around 8:30 and worked a full day. Adolfo, the lead on the baseboards/stairs crew, does great work and was very accommodating. Mario even made sure I had two extra boxes of laminate in case any repairs are needed down the road. Would highly recommend Mario, his installers and Best Carpet. read more

I've been buying various rugs, carpets, and remnants from Best Carpets since 2006. For me there is no point in going anywhere else because Mario's store has a great selection of quality carpets and the prices cannot compete with other stores. In 2015 I bought a carpet from the store that was sent off for binding and then delivered to my house. We love this custom rug and saved so much money by going this route. At the end of 2016 we returned to buy 1 more rug and 2 runners. There was a bit of a misunderstanding between the order and what we actually received, but Mario was very good about it all. He quickly fixed the problem to our satisfaction and the new rugs were delivered a few days later. They look great in our home and were worth the wait. Wow...What a GREAT experience! My siblings and I needed to have new carpeting installed in my father's large home as part of an estate procedure. I was worried and concerned that we would end up spending a great deal of money for a questionable return. In reality, the exact opposite occurred! Not only was the price better than the others, the personal service, quality of product, and willingness to work with me long-distance were an enormous help.
