"WORST" Estate Services. Won't bargain with you and worse yet, now they don't accept CASH. Cash is king these days. Don't even bother. Their prices are so inflated they have to have 50-75% off sales. I feel bad for the families that hire them. read more

They used to be reasonable a few years ago but the last year they've gotten ridiculous on the pricing asking almost new prices and in a few cases asking double new prices one time he had a plastic bench that they sell at Menards for $49 which I bought he was asking $90 for it and it was falling apart and paint all over it I mentioned something to him and all he said was don't buy it then with a cocky attitude and when your at one of they're estate sales all you hear is people saying god is he crazy on what he's asking so I don't go to his sales anymore since then and I would always go all the time and his barn sales are also are out of hand with pricing. This was hands down the worst estate sale experience I've ever had. The individual (female age 25-35, brunette) running it was consistently rude and dismissive toward customers. I overheard her snap at someone who politely asked a question. She clearly didn't want to be there and it showed. Prices were outrageous, even on broken or heavily used items, and she wouldn't negotiate at all. Worse, she didn't even follow her own posted or verbal rules. She claimed items were 50% off if they had a price tag, or you could make an offer if not. I picked up a napkin holder marked with a Goodwill price tag of $0.99 by her rules, it should have been 50% off or $0.50. She charged me a $.99. When I pointed out her own rules, she came up with a new rule on the fly. I could have bought it but it was the principle of the thing. You said one thing and then switched. Another shopper who had heard our interaction shared that she had a similar experienced with a $4.99 Goodwill item, no discount given as per her guidelines which was 50% off anything with a price tag. This bait-and-switch approach was completely deceitful. To give you an idea of the pricing: * A "very used" collapsible garden waste bin was marked $10. Last summer I bought the exact item new at Aldi for $5.99. I gasped when I saw the price for an item that was poor condition. * A picture that realistically should've been around $20-30 was marked at an absurd $175. Most buyers who frequent estate sales look up items so we have a very good idea of reasonable and ridiculous pricing. Every interaction I witnessed with her toward other buyers was rude, short, and dismissive. My friend warned me ahead of time that this company was like this, and now I see why. The name of this company is Best Estate Services it should be renamed Worst Estate Services. If you value fair pricing, honesty, and basic professionalism, do yourself a favor and stay far away from their estate sales, not worth the trip, gas or hassle. read more

Great for the estate seller but bad for buyers. I've been to estate sales run by this guy three times. Always rude to people and riping them off. People get to the counter with a haul, but leave empty-handed because they ask you to make a "reasonable" offer, then they quadruple the counter offer. $20 for a handful of dirty ROCKS. Left knowing I can just dig them out of the ground for free. $3 for a ball of yarn when the store price is cheaper? Nah. Also they want their boxes back after people carry stuff to their cars. Erick, the owner, frequently makes sexist and offensive jokes and treats employees and customers poorly. Prices are very high compared to the quality of items sold--for example, $100 for a broken end table or $1,500 for a small wall clock. I do not recommend this business. read more

Best Estate Services take advantage of the elderly! Do not hire them. My elderly parents were downsizing and needed help. We met with Best Estate Services and hired them based on services offered and there was NO service charge for the company running an estate sale to sell the contents of the house per the owner. My parents received a statement indicating $6,000 raised at the estate sale, $4,000 service charge, and they owed Best Estate Services another $2,800. We called, texted, and left several messages, yet Best Estate Services refused to respond. I would not recommend using this service. read more

Looking for an estate sale company! Look further you can do better. Simply put this is a lazy careless rude unprofessional company. They only price about 25% of the house and rely upon on the spot pricing for everything else. People deserve to know how much things cost before arriving at the register. If you can create on the spot pricing you can price it in advance. And don't just use painters tape and marker. Get a price gun for gods sake. Oh wait would that tap to much into your profits? Humiliating people and making them feel uncomfortable about cost of goods because you can't get a crew together to price is shameful. Pricing is initially retail or higher despite being old and not vintage I'm talking just outdated stuff so they can then have deduction sales all week. Starts at $15 when at most it should be $5 so they can say final day is 50% off making a person feel there's a deal. But when everything is unpriced how do you know it's 50% off? You don't. They are understaffed. Wait times to pay are long because he has to make up prices for every person in line. They don't honor pricing or sale signs. They get indignant about what they are charging people but they take no time to research current costs or goods. Bad service. Terrible company. If they do this to customers imagine what they do to the clients. Pricing is inventory and that is how you determine what your client will get at the end. Very impressed with how my Aunt's home was organized and presented for day of sale. Having to downsize an elderly or sick family member is very stressful and emotional. They signs were great and easy to follow. The prices were insane, many people just left shaking their heads. For example, used sleep number mattress from 1998, stained and multiple heavily sunken spots was $125! Small open used oil paint was $10 each. The staff was rude. As we walked up to the door two men made my mom and I walk back down the stairs so they could get past us instead of them stepping into the kitchen two feet to their left. read more

We were at an estate sale a few weeks back in Waterford, Best Estates service was very professional and someone was always around to inquire if something was not marked. Another great thing was that they also sent out a post that they were doing a community sale. What a great idea, and it saves pn dump costs save the client costs.
