Realtor: Kelly Miller. Let's start with the listing: The…read morehouse listing indicated the yard was fenced; it was not. I asked Kelly how I go about finding our lot line in order to install a fence and her response was, "Let the fence installer figure that out." We were told, "This house just came on the market." No it did not. It had been listed for 14 days. Little white lies made me wonder what else she was being deceitful about. None of the appliances, included in the listing (as if we were getting such a great deal), were operable. None! When first walking through the house, I commented on the squeakiness of some spots in the floor (bedroom floors were wood covered with carpet), and her comment was, "Oh that's just the wood floor underneath." Really?? I found Kelly to be incredibly irritating, frustrating, and scatter-brained. If it were up to me I would have listened to my gut and gone with a different realtor, right then and there, but I wasn't the one officially buying the house. When she sent the seller an amendment on the "offer to purchase" she didn't communicate that to us, or even that the seller had 7 days to respond. We had to contact her. There were typos in 2 emails she sent me. The first one was in the phone number for the inspector. When I couldn't get a hold of him, it dawned on me that the number must be wrong, and it was. The second typo was in the email to confirm the closing date and time where she indicated the wrong date. She pushed the HMS Home Warranty, which to this day still infuriates me. Although the seller paid for it, it was still $500 more we could have gotten back at closing. The warranty is such a scam I filed a complaint with the BBB. On the day of the inspection, she kept interrupting the inspector asking irrelevant questions, which was so frustrating to me. The inspector was visibly irritated, too. I just wanted her to let him focus on the task at hand. Then later, when explaining some of his findings to me, she interrupted saying, "Oh that's happening with my stove." He continued talking with me, and again, she interrupted to ask him what she needed to do to fix the problem with her own stove vent at home. The inspector noted that the electrical wiring on the outside of the house needed updating, and there was obvious repair needed, but the person hired to do the update just covered up the problem instead of actually fixing it even after I asked Kelly if she would be checking to see that repair work was actually done, and how we would know that it was done correctly, according to the amendments. She said, "Well, they have to repair everything correctly" as if I was asking the dumbest question she had ever heard. She never could give me a straight answer. She was always very condescending with her responses to our questions. We felt like we never knew what was to happen next, and it wasn't a good feeling. Terrible first-time home buying experience!

Highly recommended. Super attentive and conscientious care given to providing high quality service.read more
