Best Impressions was absolutely fantastic for our wedding earlier this month. Not only was Crystal SO helpful throughout the planning process - always reachable and willing to make updates to the menu, but she was also incredible on the day of our event. Our florist showed up about an hour before our ceremony with very few flowers, and left shortly thereafter without setting anything up. Crystal came outside to where we were taking pre-ceremony photos, let us know of the hiccup, and already had a gameplan set up. She recommended pushing our ceremony back a bit to let our remaining vendors work magic in the ceremony and reception space and she immediately had her servers bringing out cocktail hour bites and cocktails to our guests that had already started arriving. Her ability to immediately pivot and start cocktail hour before the ceremony was a gamechanger. Our guests had no idea there was even an issue and loved having a bite and cocktail before the ceremony started! All throughout the night, Crystal was always nearby and made sure to personally check in on not only myself and my husband, but also our parents to ensure everyone had what they needed. Aside from Crystal being an amazing point of contact, the food was incredible! We received so many compliments about the food - specifically the sea bass and perfectly cooked steak! My wife and I hired Best Impressions Catering to cater our wedding at Brown Mountain Beach Resort in Lenoir, N.C. and Best Impressions lived up to its namesake in every way. The staff showed up on time and fully prepared were well dressed and had smiles on their faces the entire time. Best Impressions worked in tandem with our venue to make sure our reception's dinner was flawlessly executed, allowing our guests and ourselves to enjoy a most special meal in celebration of our new life together, all without us worrying about the logistics or feeling it necessary to follow up on the details covered ahead of time. After our ceremony, our guests enjoyed delicious appetizers, which were brought down and served on the beach! What a beautiful touch to kick off our celebration; our guests and ourselves were blown away by the attention to detail and level of service which Best Impressions provided, talk about getting off on the right foot. It is amazing how something so simple goes such a long way. The reception meal was prepared to absolute perfection! The tenderloin received raved reviews from our guests, as did the chicken Florentine, as both were knocked out of the park; tender, moist and memorably exquisite. The Baby arugula salad was fantastic, the fried goat cheese topping it offered a palatable decadence yet maintained approach-ability for guests less accustomed to haute cuisine. Our sides of mashed baby red potatoes and seasonal autumn roasted vegetables were also beautifully prepared; the vegetables maintaining their delightfully toothsome texture, which only further complemented the potatoes. Additionally, the gourmet coffee bar was set up and available immediately following our dinner, seamlessly appearing and ready for our guests to enjoy the fantastic array of sweet treats featured in Best Impression's dessert bar, which our guests fawned over throughout the evening. Lastly, the late-night snacks were out of control delicious, and nothing pairs well with some raucous late-night drinking like a chicken biscuit or slider! The chicken biscuits flat out shamed any others I have ever had, seriously, I waited for those chicken biscuits for a year and they did not disappoint! The resounding perfection of our meal and accouterments aside, Best Impression's service was bar none, professional and attentive without ever being overbearing, each individual went the extra mile to make sure our special day was just that. I could not imagine our wedding going as well as it did without the spectacular food and service which Best Impressions provided. There is no other way to put it. Best Impressions indeed made their best impression on my wife and I, as well as our family, in addition to receiving compliments from our other vendors. I attended an event Best Impressions catered. It was a disaster. I have food allergies and called ahead. The lady that answered the phone could care less and told me to tell someone at the event. With food allergies you always has to let the chef know ahead of time. I left a message and got a call back telling me they would take care of me. No one at the event knew anything. They couldn't accommodate me at all. The people around me told me I wasn't missing out on anything because it really wasn't good. The staff appeared like they were all new and needed some direction. To top off things the girl clearing the table spilled food all over several coats and NEVER apologized. Giving this company a 1 start is really over rated. read more

Alright where do I begin? First of all, my wife and I cannot thank David Byron and his team enough for saving our wedding in less then a week time!! Not only save but made our wedding experience the best ever! My wife and I before we got married shopped around vendors to do our wedding. We went through a lot of the vendors that was on the list of our wedding venue at the Foundation for the Carolinas downtown Charlotte. I work for a local company who's owner always used Best Impression for special events such as our company Christmas party. Therefore my wife and I were familiar with their food and OMG is it amazing!! Highlight is their crab cakes , which is the best crab cake you will ever have. I'm telling you, we are crab cake fanatics and had them everywhere all over the world no one does that better then them!! Through the process, David and his team worked with us on putting a menu of their crab cakes, filet station, risotto, a mushroom combination side which was also FANTASTIC! Btw , we had these late night snacks with a braised pork belly Bao Slider which was insane!! Just as good as if you were to get it in NY or even Taiwan! They are not limited to one genre of cuisine, trust in their chef and staff as they really know how to put flavors together... trust me I'm a huge foodie and they exceeded my expectation! All in all, their food, service, staff, is a perfect combination of quality, flavor, and customer service. It's funny as EVERY vendor and I mean EVERY vendor we shopped, wanted to win our business over Best Impressions. I'm kind of shock there is not enough reviews on yelp but boy I honestly don't think they need it, everyone knows them! They really live up too their reputation! This place does a great job with their catering events, however it sucks to work here. If you are not the cookie cutter version of what they want they will give you a hard time and make the excuse of you not being a good fit until you finally quit. It doesn't matter your work ethic or if you have a positive attitude and do a good job with events they will make the environment unreasonably toxic. I did my best to try to make the best of the situation but they made me feel like I was being bullied on a daily basis like we were in high school. Totally unprofessional. read more

We could not be more grateful that we booked Best Impressions for our wedding cocktail hour and reception. Literally every bite was DELICIOUS and beautifully styled to boot! The staff was uber professional while also still having a good time - shout out to Stephanie, our Event Manager, who was the single best individual we worked with! She took such detailed care of the bridal party and family, on top of running a super smooth event with multiple bars, stations, and circling staff. We could not be more pleased with their service! From working with Daniel and his staff to the excellent grub to the professional wait staff, that did an excellent job. I only tried a few samples of their goods today because I ran across their table of free samples at the South Park Mall of all places. I have to say, I would have gladly gone back, cash in hand, for more! What did I try, you ask? Well I began with the mini baked loaded potato, which was perfectly decorated with just enough cheddar and bacon..mmmm. Even after sitting out, the potato was not dried out at all, it was exactly the bite you want out of this tasty treat. There was also crab cakes bites accompanied by a drop of some kind of spicy sauce, also yummy. Then there was a mini sandwich of some sort, honestly had a hard time deciphering what exactly was in it...some kind of cranberry cream cheese and meat...eeh. Then, saved the best for last, a bite if puffed brie with a brush of honey. All in all, I would absolutely recommend their catering to any kind of event from wedding to corporate! read more

Overall I was happy with the quality for the price, but all of our tables had white napkins except one that had black napkins that really stood out, there was rain and tables were moved inside and 4 large vases at $65 a piece were broken, so not all of the tables matched and vases I would have been able to resell after the wedding were destroyed. The mac n cheese that was suppose to be served in martini glasses was served on plates instead. The service was very good and someone came to our table to make sure we had all the food we wanted; although they did run out of gluten free mac and cheese. The caterers helped to pack up the extra cake and bring everything down stairs to take home. It was difficult to get a finalized menu ahead of time so we had to print the menus the week of the wedding which would have been nice to do ahead of time. read more

I will start off by saying that the food is delicious. The staff are nothing but college aged kids that they got off local campuses. For the price that this company charges, I was expecting more professionalism. I talked to one kid who said that they hire anyone and she did not have to go through any training or interview. The waitstaff was not helpful and did not seem to care about anything that was going on. I would not recommend them to anyone I know. read more
