My garage door started squealing and making noises, so I wasn't sure if it was going to fail. !! SCAM ALERT !! Avoid Best Rate Garage and Door at all costs! Robert came to my home in Prosper on May 21st to replace a broken garage spring. He charged $409.94 for the job. Right away, the door still struggled to open and the belt was being stretched. I called him back--he came once, but the problem persisted. Two independent garage professionals later confirmed the issue: Robert had installed the wrong springs for my 18x8-foot garage door. He used two undersized springs instead of the proper larger ones it originally had. This left the opener straining and at risk of serious damage. I called and texted Robert repeatedly. At first, he promised to come back. Then he stopped answering entirely--calls, texts, everything. No resolution, no accountability. In the end, I had to hire another company to install the correct springs, costing me another $400. Robert took my money, delivered the wrong product, ignored my calls, and left me to pay twice for the same repair. This is dishonest unprofessional. Go elsewhere! l read more

My carport gate stopped working and I called around and ended up scheduling another company to come in and service it because they had the part and could do it quicker, but I did speak with Robert at Best Rate and even though I did not select him he provided very helpful information and troubleshooting advice for me. This was done on a Saturday after hours. He responded to each of my texts and continued to give advice even though we knew I was using another company to service the gate. Robert repaired a gate for me last and did a good job. If February he replaced two garage doors. The installer did not tighten all the bolts and Robert came by and remedied the problem. Two weeks ago the two car door began making loud popping noises and one of the guide rails is out of line. I cannot get Robert to come by, he ignores my texts.
