The garage is well lit and easily usable. The bathrooms are all clean. The bedrooms are all fresh linens and floor is vacuumed. Did the finger dust test on corners etc. I'd say 8 out of 10 no problem. Would I stay here again? yes. Like I said no issues with this place at all. They always treat me right every time I've been here. And I've been here at least 10+ times. Thanks guys!

There is no way in hell we are going to do that in this wind and cold so the next best thing is Days Inn. Its a nice warm place away cold and windy night. a $10 pet fee is cheap. Plus there is breakfast in the morning and a hot shower. How can one go wrong camping like this? Across the street is a hidden treasure of a doughnut shop, which if you stay at the Day's Inn, you must walking across the street to see. The rooms are nice and large. The beds firm and comfortable. Nothing really negative to say expect for the trains going by all night. Turning on a sound machine will drown out the trains. At least the train doesn't sound it's horn as it travels though Mojave. My motto is any port in a storm and this is a reasonably nice port.

The Fairfield by Mariott Inn & Suites Tehachapi was one of the better options. In their price range, they had the better reviews by compare. Honestly there wasn't a lot of reviews or photos for businesses in this area, so I just made the best decision based on the information I was able to find. Check-in was at 3pm, but we would have to head out around 3:30pm so it would leave us no time to get ready. When I called the hotel, they said to check back at 12noon on the day of the visit because that's when they are able to see the check outs and availability to see if an early check-in was available. On the day of the wedding, I called and they said they can accommodate a 1pm early check-in at no additional cost. Yay! This gave us ample time to settle in and get ready. The room we got was narrow with a lot going on like a long hallway. We came in and there was the bathroom. Hairdryer is provided but it's in the closer. Then there was a semi kitchen area with a microwave and a fridge. This is great because not many hotels have microwaves these days. Then there was a sofa area with a tv. And then finally the bedroom area with another tv. The WORST THING about this hotel is the bed. The metal bed frame stuck out and my boyfriend and I hurt ourselves multiple times bumping into it. Also the bed wasn't too comfortable because my sleep quality was poor and I woke up with back pains. Good thing it was just one day. And the pillows were like small tiny half pillows. My boyfriend joked about shrinkflation. Additionally the walls are thin. You can hear the nearby doors close. So it wasn't the best for resting. Another complaint is that their shower leaks a lot of water from the faucet which wastes water and also gives less water to the showerhead. Total waste. The gym area had minimal equipment. 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 bike, 1 stairclimber, and 1 weight bench with a weight rack. What really bothered me was that there was no cleaning equipment. I also doubt staff cleans up much because the water was out when we looked on Saturday afternoon and still out Sunday morning. It was still nice to get a work out in. My boyfriend wanted to run in high elevation so he went on the treadmill and I went on the elliptical. They also have an indoor pool that we didn't check out because it was closed on Saturday, during the day time. It's an indoor pool because Tehachapi gets all 4 seasons, including the snowy winter. Breakfast is included. Not the best but edible. Enough to get us started in the morning and make our way in the direction of home. We both ate the scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was thin and bland. I actually wished I grabbed less which is rare for me with bacon. My boyfriend had a muffin and he was able to toast it. I had a waffle that was okay but probably been sitting there for a while. We both had orange juice which was definitely watered down from concentrate. Not good enough to get a second cup. My boyfriend also tried their coffee but he said it was bad so I didn't get any. I didn't see any staff at the desk when we checked out and I didn't get any email to self check out so I just left my room keys in a basket of all the other room keys I saw behind the desk. A decent option FOR THE AREA... but I'm not really trying to be in the area if I wasn't obligated to.

We were able to get a AAA discount, which was actually still slightly more than Expedia advertised but my error in just taking it impulsively. The room itself initially wasn't bad with a small couch/separate living room area with fridge/microwave. We liked that we had a king bed, but the pillows were micro size. The absolute worst part was the airconditioner literally blows right into the face of the person next to it. We tried blocking it with the curtain but that was difficult and it was so loud that sleep was awful! So do not expect to get a good night's sleep based on the direction of airflow (which could not be adjusted) and the noise. (Unless you can sleep through anything). The breakfast was fine for a hotel "free" breakfast. I liked that non dairy was offered and various toppings for the oatmeal. It was a good variety of food. Water would have been good, but not avail in that same area. The coffee was watered down. There was someone there cleaning and refilling everything often. We didnt use the pool or jacuzzi. The gym seemed nice and it was "cool" inside during this hot summer weather. The hotel itself was clean and nicely decorated.

We did stay in two different rooms. The upstairs was in better condition than downstairs. So if you don't mind the walk upstairs get an upstairs room. For instance the charging ports at the lights were loose downstairs but were fine upstairs. I had perfectly good service at the front desk. Would stay again .

I am confused by the positive ratings for this property…read more There were outside lights hanging by wires outside of rooms, blood spatter on the walls, the bathroom looked like they haven't been cleaned in months, if ever, blood stains on the bedding. Additionally blood stains on the AC units. And we had three rooms and ALL three rooms were like this. This place was so bad that Hotwire actually had to refund it because with lights hanging by wires, it simply isn't safe to stay there. Luckily there was a motel 6 that was very clean down the street and charged us $100 less for the three rooms for two nights. If people really consider this place clean, I have to wonder what their homes look like.
