The price is usually great too BUT I hate that this Hampton charges a $7 parking fee per night. My husband has Hilton Diamond when he traveled for work - and this is the ONLY location that charges a $7 fee. There is no valet and there are plenty of spots - even during busy college move-in period in late Aug. The staff is always nice and that does help a lot. Rooms are fine - layer of dust on the nightstand but I'm not picky for the price. BUT...the breakfast at this Hampton is sub-par. Today they had NO MILK. There were a few boxes of cereal out but NO MILK. I asked the employee who replenishes the breakfast and she confirmed, "Yes, we are out." I said, "No milk for cereal (pointing to the boxes that were out on the counter)?" She said, "No, sorry." I mean....I would think someone (like a manager on duty) would just go buy a gallon or two. I use 2% in my coffee so this is why I was particularly passionate. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. BUT, I have stayed here probably 6 times in 3 years and they have never had dried cranberries for the oatmeal. They only have raisins. Not the end of the world, but we stay in Hamptons all over the country and almost all have dried cranberries for the oatmeal. (First world problems, I know, but I've been holding on to this for 4.5 years now). Currently the air seems to be not working well in the lobby, hallways, and elevator - but is working well in the rooms. Again, we keep staying here b/c of the price and the distance to CU Boulder, but if you are overly particular this might not be your best bet.

They didn't have water in the fridge, which is typically something they have for gold members, but when I called, we were able to go downstairs to get complimentary water. I wish they had room service.. since we were super hungry when we got there. We also requested an extra bath towel through their Marriott App and never received it. Still a good nights rest.

There is a very diverse group of hotel stayers here from families to workers and everyone moved like a large family at a reunion. There wasn't one time when I was put off by anything here and it felt like a 5-star hotel. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Oh, and the Spicy Tacos place across the way is also pretty good for tacos. I don't think they knew I was a foodie.

Also stated numerous people had stayed there that week. So how are you able to test our bedding or the room when we were there? It is a horrible place. Do not stay there if you value your health.

When we…read moretravel for vacation and I know it will be a long stay, I select Homewood Suites as they usually have a 2-Bedroom Suite configuration along with full (as full as it gets!) kitchen. This stay was for 10 days, so definitely wanted to eat a few meals in. In addition, we had a few very cold and snowy days. Kitchen - poor stocked. This two-bedroom suite was for up to 6 people, we had only three adults. No spatula, no sharp knife, enough plates, coffee cups, and flatware for only three! No ideal for any meals in. In addition, one of those old cartridge type coffee makers! The coffee in the Lobby wasn't drinkable, we tried. Actually went out and bought a coffee press! Only trash receptacles were tiny ones, difficult for trash if you did any cooking! We ended up throwing out a lot of groceries and it was too tough to cook even a few meals! Room - beds were very comfortable. One room, with the two twin beds, actually had a larger closet and bathroom counter, odd, as the King Bedroom was smaller. Neither had more than a few hangers, again we were staying for 10 days! The living room furniture, very uncomfortable! Chair and couch. The living/Kitchen area was very small, so the table only had two chairs, and we used the ottoman as the third chair. Not sure where 6 people would sit or eat! This is the smallest two-bedroom suite I have ever stayed at and this is Boulder, CO! The largest was DT Seattle ($$$$). The second bedroom was really an attached (adjoining) hotel room. My concern here would be young kids as you could actually use the latching lock on the inside and the room key did not work on the exterior, and there is an exterior door access. This would not be acceptable, IMO, for a family with young (or even teen aged kids!!). Two bedroom suites should be just that, two bedrooms, within the one suite. I am not sure if they are all set up like this. The separate bedroom did not have an additional living area! Breakfast - typical breakfast. The selections did rotate. Nothing amazing but it's all included as expected. We did eat here about half of the time. Service - very nice staff. Housekeeping and front desk. Check-in and check-out very easy. Location - very close to a grocery store (Safeway) and several small restaurants, other than that we were constantly driving to get anywhere in Boulder. Overall, I don't recommend this property! It did not meet my expectations. Rooms are far too small and uncomfortable for an extended vacation. If you are only spending 1-2 nites and it's close to where you need to be, then I would chance it!

Some things need to be worked on, got handed this menu in the photos, this menu has seen better days! BUT a manager that pays attention to these ticky-tacky things is what keeps the property looking clean 15-20 yrs later. Anyway overall good stay, clean accommodations, very nice staff. Very convenient to get to the airport (traffic seems like it's usually better from the direction of aurora to the airport than from Denver itself) as well as Colorado's medical center. The hotel has a shuttle to take ppl to the medical center, and you can bus-train to the airport in like 45 min. Was super happy with this place, felt like it was really nice for how cheap it was. The bed was big and comfortable, one of the best I've slept on in a hotel. Nice big windows, and tons of desk room to work. No wired internet which is too bad, and I will say that in the evenings the internet speed would tank, each night. So...watch out for that. Freaking rough. The bathroom is nice and bright, big shower! There was a big closet too with plenty of storage room. The doors slam so hard and are so loud that it's pretty annoying, I know they need to shut solidly but wow, deafening, and easy to hear from other rooms as well. Too bad. Nice pantry/cupboard in the lobby with snacks/items you may need. Free washer/dryer in the gym area was super helpful. Nice small gym, but a few machines and weights. No pool. Maybe that's normal around this area, but that was interesting to note. Friendly staff too. I liked this location a lot, nearby a lot of food options, and across the highway from Oscar Blues Brewing Company! Whoo hoo! So yea, if my usual Marriot accommodations are not available next time, I will seek out another Candlewood Suites location.
