Our family experienced a crisis while on vacation in the Rockies. Our campsite flooded and nearly destroyed all our tents, bedding, and clothing. Double Tree welcomed us in and were extremely accommodating to our needs as a family. While there, a major personal issue occurred, resulting in law enforcement being contacted. Manager Johnny Kim and his staff went the extra mile to ensure all of our needs were met. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in visiting the area. read more

An ok place to stay with some positives and negatives. The rate is fair, location is convenient and the beds are comfy. My room was marginally clean with some obvious misses like hair in the tub, a dirty towel left behind and poor condition of some finishes. I also question the quality and/or cleanliness of their kitchen because after eating dinner my wife and I were left with some significant digestive discomfort later in the night. Customer service was great and they did address some issues when I made a few requests. I'd stay again but would probably visit one of the area restaurants before eating in their dining room again. read more

For starters, outstanding customer service! They went above & beyond to make sure my room had a Mountain View & was on a high floor. There was a problem with the TV & the shower grab bar was jiggly. They fixed both that day & I came back to a perfect room! Lots of follow up & follow through. I'm greeted everytime I walk into the lobby & everyone is so friendly! My only complaint is the breakfast situation. You receive a $15 food credit, but unless you just get a side order, nothing fits within that budget. I guess they discontinued the buffet, no one seems to know anything about it. It's more of a simple annoyance than anything, and not enough for me to subtract a star. We had a good 2 night stay at this place, nothing wrong. Service is on point, the lobby is nice and inviting, i would have loved it if they served free breakfast. Overall clean and neat, the parking lot seems a little sketchy at night so bring it in your valuables. We would stay here again! read more

There is a normal hotel hiding beneath the very odd "castle" exterior. Do not let yourself be scared about the look of the hotel from the outside. Inside it is a normal looking Doubletree hotel. The room was clean, and the one I had looked like it had been refurbished. As a hilton honors diamond member I got $15 credit that can be used at the breakfast or snack store. They had a buffet available (not my preference, as I much rather order from the menu), but the buffet was fine with a selection of hot foods like scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and parfait cups, fruit, cereal, etc. There is plenty or parking, although make sure not to leave anything visible. There are many signs warning of possible break ins. read more

Absolutely horrible, from the customer service to the room. The pictures speak for themselves. What is in the shower?! Of course they did not offer me a different room for free. In fact when I complained, I was threatened by the manager with police because I "interrupted", but then was eventually told I can stay. It would have been a logistical nightmare to go else where at the time. This is truly gross! I will never stay at Hilton again and this is so disappointing. read more

We came in from California to celebrate a graduation. We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and it was decent. Decided to stay here again because it was closer to our next destination. I would have to say I was really impressed. I love the new floors. I feel like carpet should not be in hotels. Hardwood floors are more sanitary, easy to clean and it gives a cleaner look to the room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had to extend our stay another night. I loved the hotel enough to stay. Felt comfortable and safe here. I'm a clean freak so trust me when I say, this hotel was clean. I'm really glad they updated it. The architecture of the hotel is like a castle. Very quaint. They are refurnishing some of their rooms. Once complete, it will be nice. Accommodations in the fifth floor are nice. My manager picked this hotel for a work trip and we've had zero issues. We were welcomed with a smile right away and I was thanked for being a Hilton Honors member (doesn't always happen). A key system upgrade was going to take place at some point and we were made aware way in advance, but I used the app so I didn't have any problem. It's recently been renovated and upgraded so it's very clean and well kept. We were also given a cookie any time we asked, so coming back from meetings and wanting something sweet this was perfect! The room is big, clean, everything is working, and the bed was very comfortable. The blackout roll down shades really work and light doesn't shine in from under the main door. You can request a Mountain View room, I hugely suggest this. The view is gorgeous and totally unblocked. Breakfast opened promptly at 6am and was sat down right away. The breakfast burritos are HUGE, could easily be split by two people. Coffee was always hot and ready in the lobby. Food deliveries were easy to the room, everyone was very friendly.. my room was cleaned every day we were here. yes the exterior looks like a castle, whatever it's a funny conversation piece that's also close to the highway and 30 min max from just about anything you would want to see or do in Denver. I would recommend this hotel no problem, I felt valued as a Hilton Honors member and it was a very nice property overall. read more

Upon arrival our room wasn't ready. Came back a few hours later and was given keys and cookies. Was given a deluxe room with a couch and chair. The view was ok. Had one new AC and an old AC unit. So the positives... Like everyone else stated the staff were very friendly, we only got to taste the breakfast once and it was ok, plenty of hot water in the shower and cookies! Now the negatives... Bed was well worn, room was worn, noise from the hall echoed into our room, I think everyone let their doors slam shut and had loud conversations while waiting for the elevator. Would I stay there again?? Probably so, just make sure I get far away from the elevator! read more

First room they gave us had pubic hair on the bathroom floor and toilet, hair in the fridge, booger on the wall, significant debris all over the carpet (obviously had not been vacuumed), etc... They offered a different room that was almost as bad with terrible staining on the carpet. The third room was tolerable but still dirty. Was hoping to have contactless stay but couldn't because of all the shuffling around. No real attempt to make things right other than moving us all around the hotel, carrying our luggage from room to room. read more

Stayed here Sept. 27th and checked out on the 29th. This stay started out bad. My company sent me for a training and I stayed at Doubletree Inn in Thorton Co. After a long flight I just need some rest. I went up to check in to the hotel and they took my license and proceeded to ask me for the full amount of the room which was 319.00 dollars. I explained that I was there with my company and also explained that I was not responsible for the bill. Then they had another receptionist come over to help and she then asked for 100.00dollars for incidentals. Which I found strange because I have never had to use my own credit card but i gave her my card and she took 100.00 out of my account? So that was a whatever moment. But anyway I went up to the room to take a bath and when I walked in complete darkness, not one light on? I stumbled around feeling the walls for a switch and finally found one? I set all my stuff down and went to take a bath and when I looked down in the tub I saw filth? Took a shower at that point and went on down and kinda got turned around a little disoriented so I mentioned that on my way past the front desk and when I came down a little later the receptionist asked with an attitude if I had found myself, very rude. So today the 1st of October I called over to find out when my money would go back in my account and I spoke with Desire and she was okay but started to lose her patience with me. reserved an accessible room due to knee replacement surgery last month. Check-in was fine but when I got to my room, discovered it was not a handicapped room. It was imperative that I have a toilet with a handicap bar since I was unable to get up and down with my recent knee replacement surgery without. front desk said they could switch me to a handicapped room with only a king size bed and I reminded them that I had a family of four. They said there was no other alternative and that it was Expedia's fault as I booked through Expedia and it was not Doubletree's fault. they were unwilling to do anything to remedy the situation. I finally asked if housekeeping had a handicapped toilet extender that I could use. Five minutes later housekeeping showed up and put a raised toilet seat on my toilet, which solved everything. Joe was extremely rude and unwelcoming when we arrived. When showing him our confirmation number he was bothered it was from a 3rd Party, and made it seem it wasn't valued as purchasing direct. At that point he claimed he didn't need to let us in our give us a key. He is a bit seasoned and maybe still stuck in old ways with not assisting people of different ethnicities. As a last minute effort to get closer to the airport from Breckinridge, this hotel was very accommodating. The hotel upgraded our room, offered the room credit for food and beverage as Diamond Hilton members and made sure that we were satisfied . Stayed her this week while on a business trip...first the positives. The staff here is super friendly from the front desk, bartender and restaurant. Everyone was super friendly and made this experience. The hotel however screams "please remodel me" the rooms are clean but seriously outdated. It looks like the Hilton Double Tree bought this from someone else and converted it. It has a strange castle look from the outside. Also while this place is located right across the street from a bigger shopping area with plenty of restaurant choices and a Starbucks in the parking lot. It is situated right next to some sweet looking and appearing motels. You notice I say motel and not hotel that should be a clue. I walked to dinner one night and had to cut through their parking lots and let's just say only did that once. If you plan on only staying in should be fine but didn't like the environment outside the hotel. read more

Room ok but bathroom was not clean. Called the care line and asked for another room with a cleaner bathroom. I was informed the hotel was sold out and nothing was available. I asked if everyone had already checked in... so as to move to something with a cleaned bathroom and then the room I was in could be cleaned for a later arrival. Was told NO. Man, this bathroom was skanky..... easy to tell it had not been wiped down much less cleaned before I checked in. I understand these things happen but to NOT to have or suggest or resolution...... WOW!!!!! And to not offer to have someone come and clean it is totally unacceptable. Shower was cover in soap scum, finger prints and smudges. This hotel is one of my favorites. Due to the Covid state of things, my family and I could not travel very far but we wanted to get away for a night, so we decided to get a hotel room. This hotel is very nice but affordable, and we booked a double room for our mini vacation. There were a couple of things in the room that were not right-- I thought they were a cleanliness problem, but it was actually a maintenance issue. The manager Nick was amazing and his handling of this issue: very polite, apologetic, and accommodating. Not only did he have somebody check it out right away, but he made sure to compensate me for the mistake and to follow up with me as well. We have stayed at this hotel a few times, and will continue to do so because of the hospitality and the great service that was provided to us. This is a great local hotel to get away for a day or two--we will certainly be back. Thank you Nick and the Doubletree team! read more

A little dated but it was clean. The room is DARK. The bathroom needs an exhaust fan and better lights and the toilet is inches off the floor. I felt like I was sitting on the floor to use the restroom. The bed was clean and firm. I prefer firm pillows and they don't offer that but they had several on the. Bed so I made it work. This place is strange. It looks like a castle. An old castle, it is clear this hotel has been here for quite some time. The front desk was very nice and friendly. The rooms were big, clean and definitely upgraded and not indicative of the exterior of this hotel. The lobby is very nice, they do have a bar as well as a full service restaurant. There are plenty of places to sit and work or meet. I loved that there is a Starbucks sharing the same parking lot as well. read more

Great hotel. Double Tree / Hilton is doing a fine job since they took over. It's quiet, clean, pleasant, and not overpriced. Hint: Odd numbered rooms are on the East Side, away from the highway. If you can, get one of those. Breakfast food is fresh, well cooked, and they have a short order/omelet bar, which is a nice touch. Waitstaff was slow to fill/refill coffee - they would hide for a long time, then come shooting out, seat new guests, and disappear again. Wouldn't have been an issue, but the coffee cups are tiny, and I like a lot of coffee in the morning. I finally took a carafe from the counter. read more

Pool and spa and gym are alright. Oranges in convenience store were dry though. I called front desk asking about what the restaurant offers and their hours. Then we go there and find that the restaurant is closed. This is a result of lack of communication. Not good! I also asked about extra accommodations like a cot. I'm handicapped and need my own bed and 4th person needs a cot. I was rudely told this is not possible. This person was a 3rd party-maybe from corporate? This hotel has a homeless/dangerous person problem (and according to the disrespectful desk attendant it's a Denver problem). The hotel needs to re-address their cancelation policy as a result. I did not stay at this hotel as I did not feel safe. I was told that I could cancel my reservation but that I could not receive my money back since it was against the cancelation policy. Here is what happened: As I was checking in, my sister was approached by a homeless person. This was on the hotel parking lot but not inside the building. There are also many homeless camps along the parking lot edges. I did witness some interesting people in the lobby while checking in, including a man shuffling thru the lobby with a broken ankle who appeared to be lost and confused. Upon hearing my sister's concern, I immediately went back into the hotel and asked if I could transfer my reservation to another location. I was told no and provided with a list of reasons that the hotel was safe. Unfortunately, I did not feel safe, and I was not going to stay there with two small children. I then called the corporate line and asked again for a transfer of locations as I made my reservation through the Hilton app. They also called the front desk and were provided with the same response. My call was then escalated. The second representative instructed me to go back into the lobby to check out, at the same time she called the front desk again. While I was waiting for the front desk attendant to call her manager a person walked through the lobby with a large pickax. A PICKAX! Please tell me again how safe this hotel is! read more

Should have stayed at Motel 6! Would have been a lot cheaper with better accommodations! Only 2 coffee cups, no water cups. No fan in the bathroom. Very uncomfortable bed. Most Hiltons leave water bottles, not this one ! Really sad we spent $200 when we would have been better at $79!!! Not to mention, no complimentary breakfast and the front desk girl, seemed rude, monotone, no smiles, no personality. The restaurant was closed for dinner???? This is our second stay in a two year period. After the first stay I decided not to return. Had no choice this visit. We will never stay here again. The rooms are from the 80's and the furniture is filthy. The chair looked like a cat used it for a scratching post. The sheets are so old that they are gray. I love the staff, unfortunately they are not treated as well as a Hilton owned property would treat them. The food is not good, every menu item is loaded with heat. I will be contacting Hilton to advise them of this owners lack of the Hilton way of running business. This is not a Hilton. read more

This is not a review of the hotel but of the Radius Bar and Grill which may also be known as the Radius Lounge. My wife and I live in the area and dine out 2-3 times per week. Last night we decided to try the Radius Bar and Grill for the first time. The actual restaurant was closed on a Friday night during peak holiday season. That should have told us something. We had to eat in the bar. We had no problem with that. The bartender was the only server, but my wife and I made up half of the clientele in the bar at the time. She brought us our drinks (water and Diet Coke to start). Then we waited about 20 minutes for her to return to get our dinner orders. Now let me explain that the bar is only about 400 square feet and she was there the entire time within ten feet of us... BUT SHE SPENT THE WHOLE TIME TALKING TO THE TWO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE BAR AND IGNORED US. Our menus were closed, we were staring at her, and I even tried to get her attention. If she had been roped into a conversation that she could not get out of, I would merely say she is not very good at being polite yet appropriately curt with customers. But NO, she was starting up NEW conversations with them and completely disregarded the only other table of customers in the place! I told her that we were very hungry and tired of waiting so we left. I drive for a local taxi service part-time and get a lot of requests for places to stay and eat. I will be steering customers AWAY from the Doubletree Hotel in Northglenn. If this is the level of unprofessionalism that the management allows in one area of their business, I can only assume that the level of professionalism and leadership is just as lax elsewhere. There are plenty of places around where people spending good money can get better respect and service than the Doubletree and Radius Bar and Grill. I expected much more from a hotel chain with a reputation for excellent customer service. read more

Signs outside boast "Now Open" and "Grand Opening"... however upon asking the front desk they advise that this property just changed hands 3 mos ago to become a Doubletree. So far, no complaints.... :) Super friendly staff -- rooms seem to be extra large. Nice Crabtree & Evelyn bathroom amenities. My room is facing the freeway -- that may be a bit too loud. But I'm so exhausted, I doubt I'll hear it tonight. The inside of this property definitely "shows well". You can tell it's newer. I asked "what's up with the castle theme?". And appararently this property has changed hands several times over the years. But Hilton has done the most with the property to make it look "less-Castle like". Comfy beds!
