Until this weekend, I had never been to Demopolis before. I booked a room here on the advise of a cousin who lives in the area. Being a road warrior who spends a lot of time in Marriott, Hilton, and InterContinental properties, I was a little apprehensive about what I might find in a Best Western in a small Alabama town. I had nothing to worry about... this was a great place... on par with some Holiday Inn's and Hampton Inn's I've stayed in. The front desk staff was very friendly and always willing to help (with directions, questions, etc). Every interaction was with a smile on their face. When I checked in, I met Miss Nettie, who also cooks the breakfast. While she was processing my credit card, she told me all about the breakfast, which includes cereal, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, sausage, eggs, muffins, coffee and juice. She also cooks omelets (and she makes your pancakes and waffles to order, the rest of the stuff is laid-out buffet style). During the week, they also advertise "breakfast in bed", where they will bring your choice of two fixed meals (a cold breakfast or a hot breakfast) to your room. Miss Nettie got us checked in to a very nice spacious king suite, complete with a refrigerator and freezer built into a little wet bar area. There was a good sized writing desk that two people could work at and a pull out sofa. The king size bed was comfortable and the bathroom was arranged so that the sink area is separate from the tub/shower and toilet. The room came with a wall-mounted flat panel TV and a "freshly cleaned remote" wrapped in it's own little bag was laid on the bed each day. The room looked and smelled nice and clean. Housekeeping did a great job each day making sure our room looked great and that we had plenty of towels. The property also has a nice pool and two computer "business center" areas. One downstairs in the lobby, and the other is upstairs on the opposite end of the building. While I didn't need to use them (I brought my own laptop and used the free Wifi), it was nice to know that they were available. While I was checking out, Miss Nettie was leaving for the day after cooking the breakfast and she stopped to shake my hand and say good-bye to me and another guest who was also checking out. She wished us safe travels and asked us to come back soon. It's this level of southern hospitality combined with their nicely outfitted, clean rooms that will bring me back the next time I'm in Demopolis... whenever that might be. read more

This hotel have the worst staff ever!!! Doesn't respect the guest privacy ,doesn't change beds unless asked, have bedbugs .. make sure u keep light on..front desk lady is very rude and isn't professional.. charge cards , without authorization.. read more

This was my first trip to Demopolis and I was a little concerned about what kind of accommodations I would find there. I am on the road weekly and have had some less than great experiences in smaller towns. To my surprise this hotel was one of the better ones that have stayed at anywhere across the U.S. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was good. I am on the road weekly and usually go for hilton properties. None in Demopolis. While searching for hotels, I noticed there are less than a few options, so this was it for me. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the staff is very kind. It's on the main road, so easily accessible to everything. If/when I return here for business, I will definitely be staying here. read more

Very good, new hotel in Demopolis. Rooms are very big and clean. The breakfast is one of the better "ala carte" that you will get in the chain hotels. Don't know when I'll be back, but when I do, I will be staying here! read more

Nice property in Demopolis. Actually on par with some Hilton and Marriott properties that I stay at. Good sized rooms, great morning breakfast (free breakfast room service if you place your order the night before). Lobby is nice with two computers for guest use. Good value for money (for a Best Western) according to our criteria (Queen beds, proximity). We made a small detour on our way to New Orleans to stay in this hotel. Was worth it! Deserves its Best Western Plus label. With 2 kids and luggage, we enjoyed the spacy suite and the Queen beds. read more

This is the closest decent hotel to University of West Alabama in Livingston. Reviews for the only hotel in Livingston reported it being dirty, smelling bad, and overpriced. I was content to drive 30 minutes away to Demopolis for a good night's sleep. I loved this hotel. It's clean!!! Rooms are perfect for what you need. Small mini kitchen area with fridge, microwave, and sink! Same kitchen area has a table, two chairs, and a couch. Perfect for a sit down meal on the go. Flat screen tv on the wall. The room and bathroom were very clean! Staff is overly friendly. And I appreciate them being that way since I'm far from home and in the middle of nowhere. Pool, fitness room, and business computers/printer on the property. All of the staff said good morning to me when passing. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast fare. But what sets their breakfast apart is Nettie! She has a little kitchen area and a window. A little sign says Fixed to Order, Just Ask Nettie! She was so nice! She makes waffles, hash browns, eggs, and other foods. It's not different from the stuff you can get up and get yourself but having someone wait on you and ask you how you're doing is really nice. I'm a big fan of Nettie. Tell her someone on the internet recommended her and said she's doing a great job! She has a little tip jar next to the window. I asked if there was anything to do nearby. Nope! Haha! So it's good that this hotel is a safe haven. If you have a child at UWA you will be glad to know that even though Demopolis is a small town and about 30 minutes away from UWA, it has a 24 hour Walmart. Also of note to my family was the AT&T store and the Regions Bank locations. Thank you to this hotel's staff for caring enough to make it nice with what they have. Thumbs up! Great place. read more
