There are around 90 bedrooms in the complex, including a number of luxury suites, most of which offer views over the rolling countryside. The hotel do a booming conference and wedding trade, and as one of the few places in the area which offer genuine professionalism and quality, its usually booked long in advance. we've used the delegate facilities on a number of occasions, and its pretty much faultless. One of the conference rooms can cater for up to 500 delegates! Guests also have full use of the in house fitness suite, which offers a modern gym, 20m swimming pool, health spa, sauna, steam room and sun-beds. Staff take pride in their work and are happy to help. Food in the main restaurant is superb, and snacks in the public areas and room service is all of a high quality. Its probably a little more expensive than anywhere else locally, but you really do get what you pay for, and if you want a comfortable and quality stay in the local area, then this is the place to stay at.

The Negatives- TINY rooms with the hardest bed we have EVER slept on. The first room that was assigned to us was moldy and filthy. We had just traveled from the US and we were exhausted, but there was no way we were going to stay in that room. We were assigned a different room and while it was cleaner it was still TINY with no available outlet to re-charge our phones. The bed was ROCK HARD with only two small, flat pillows. We were so exhausted we did not care at this point. The next day I went to the reception area to cancel the balance of our stay and the attendant did not know how to do this and refund us our money. Fortunately, when the manager came in later that afternoon he was able to get this done for us. They were at least friendly about this. As a side note, the WiFi is free but ONLY works in the lodge area and only during normal business hours. I gave them 2 stars only because the staff was pleasant. Truthfully, this place would be considered a skid-row motel here in the states. Needless to say, I would recommend avoiding the Restover Lodge at all costs. There are much better hotels in the immediate area and while they may be more expensive, they are well worth it.

It is very homely and comfortable. In the winter they usually have a real log burning fire and plenty of winter warmers on the menu. The Sunday lunch is also particularly good. The food is to die for and is a very good price. The bedrooms are nice quality and very comfortable. Will soon be even nicer when refurbishments are finished. Apart from the hotel, there is also a Spa, Club, Gym and Play area for the kids, its like a smaller version of a wacky warehouse called Woodys, its a lot airier and modern, with big glass windows! The inside play area is more for the under 5's but they also have a large park outside for the older kids. The staff are helpful and friendly, and they also have an offer at the moment for Parent and Toddlers from 11.30 -2.00pm you can get a free hot drink if you stay and play.

We didn't feel pressured or rushed to finish, it didn't matter how much noise we made (within reason!), there were strains of happy birthdays being sung around the room at other tables! Well worth the price, which I think was £15 for a three course meal served to you at the table (we were with family members who paid for the party, so not 100% sure of the price). The breakfast room had a lovely view of the turn in the canal. You can easily walk into Nottingham centre along the canal too, where you can get to the cool bars that are on the canal. If you go along canal the opposite way you will meet the Trent river and have a smashing view of Notts Forests City grounds. It's a nice walk too, during which we saw a family of Canada Geese. I guess it'd be a pretty handy hotel for the of Notts Forests games, as well as any of the cricket games at Trent Bridge.

A choice of drinks and a very good wine list compliments the food perfectly. The big selling point here is the New Leaf Spa - a new, modern health spa which would put any other to shame. It looks superb, and offers a pool, sauna, state of the art gym and a wide ange of beauty treatments for both men and women. We had originally booked at another nearby hotel, but that place was so bad we canceled our stay there on the second day. Luckily, we found the Premier Inn! The Staff could not have been nicer! the overnight attendant Barry was a particularly nice guy who truly seemed to care about our stay. The rooms were large, clean and with amazingly comfortable beds. The only negatives (and they were very minor) was that they did not have an ice machine or laundry facility (at least we did not see them) or a vending machine ( The English don't put Ice in everything like we do, so it would make sense that they did not have an ice machine) We came over from the U.S. and many of our hotels could use a lesson from this company on service and cleanliness. We will absolutely be back next year when we visit again! The pub and restaurant next door, the Beefeater was an excellent spot to have a bite or a few pints before the end of the day. If your from the U.S. and you are looking for a top notch place for your stay in the Rotherham area, then look no further that the Premier Inn-Brecks. You will be glad you did!
