We usually stay in Thomasville a town over but due to graduations in thallahassee as well everything in tville was booked so our first time staying in an "outdoor" hotel. It's cute rooms are standard but NO ELEVATOR. I'm disabled and it took me a bit to get up the stairs apparently there were no bottom floor rooms open. I normally don't like "outdoor" hotels/motels with doors and rooms outside as opposed to accessing your room from inside the hotel due to safety and privacy but this was my last resort. Pool is clean (I don't swim I community pools anyway" toilet in our room was coming out of the floor had shimmies in it. It's fine for a place to sleep and last minute We stayed from Thursday May 2 originally to Sunday May 8th, we wanted an extra day with my son, at this point we could have picked ANY hotel but decided to STAY here an extra night, checking out Monday morning May 8th I'll admit it was very nice stay. The breakfast was well above and beyond, I have a picky family and there was something for everyone, even a pancake maker that "does itself" it blew my mind (it's the little things) LOL. The staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating especially giving us the extra night at our original rate. If I was ever in the area again we would stay here. I had to go to the car at 3 am and was not afraid at all. It was well lit, no one around, quiet neighborhood (there are homes surrounding) small town. I will include pics. Of the pool. The pool was beautiful and looked inviting. If I wasn't a person who didn't swim in "community pools" I would have gotten in. I'm changing my review to 5 stars... they only need to fix a few things, the toilet coming off the floor (minor stuff) and new carpeting but other than that it was great read more

Okay it's not the world's best hotel, with the price and all BUT..., literally never stay here. First we walked into the room and it smelled like cigarettes, saw a weird wire and checked the room for cameras, there was FOUR roaches in the bathroom on the wall and in the bathtub, then the next day rolls around and we come back from the fsu game and shower after showering we killed SEVEN roaches in there matter of 5-10 minutes. I will not be staying at this hotel chain again, not worth the stressing of having bugs in your clothes. read more

I recently stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Cairo, Ga. The first room I was assigned the AC didn't work. They asked me to wait while they attempted to install an AC unit. After waiting for a period of time I asked if I could get another room. I was then assigned to a second room. I stayed at family's home instead. On the next morning I went back to the room to check out and look for a pair of slides. To my surprise my room door was wide open and the room smelled heavily of marijuana. I went to the front office to make them aware. At first they tried to lie and say they cleaned the room and left the door open because the weed smell was strong. I went back to the room with housekeeping and the manager Mamu. They tried to say the bed had been made up. I pulled the covers back and I could clearly see my make up on the sheets. The housekeeper then changed her story and said it looked like it had been made up. I simply asked for some type of discount because apparently someone else stayed in a room that I paid for and smoked weed in the room. The problem I have is if I hadn't came back to that room they would have tried to say I smoked weed in the room and charge me for it. I asked them to run the cameras back so I could see who was in the room because I don't smoke cigarettes or weed. They wouldn't do it. They then called the police and asked me to leave. I'm still here because I was told the "other" manager comes at 1pm and they will be able to run the camera back. If you're thinking about visiting Cairo do not stay at this Hotel. Side note: There was another couple in the lobby asking for a discount due to someone entering their room while they were in the room. The couple explained they had a do not disturb sign on the door and the staff entered the room while they were in bed stating they needed to fix something. All I was asking for is a discount or something because apparently someone stayed in a room that I paid for. Upon further review I see that my military discount wasn't applied as stated when I checked in. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!! read more

The worst part of the whole stay was the first night there and I stayed two nights only was about 11:30 PM a worker used their master key I guess and opened the door and stated I need to come in and check on the lights. My mother and me both stated you have no right in my room without permission because I have paid for this room so therefore you are not welcome. He pushed his way into the room and began looking around and looking at us we were both scared and nervous at this point because this is a strange man in our room with two ladies. I could not call the front desk because the phone did not work at all. I tried to grab my cell phone, and he stated I am leaving now so don't call and if you do no one will help you. This was very uncalled for an unappropriated to do this at a hotel. I do not know if he worked there or not because of no ID. We figured we would give this place another try well this was worse then the first time . The key card every night stopped working couldn't get into the room . Every night we had to go to the office and get the card replaced . Ridiculous the way things are . Then the first night we had no toliet paper in the morning we asked for toliet paper and told them no one put toliet paper in the room . The girl was like oh u need toliet paper well duh ... Front counter desk man creepy as hell . I would prefer to give zero stars as per other reviews I went to a orientation for Robert Beard Inc and they booked me a room at the Best Western Executive Hotel which is really a motel the bedbug in the photos was in the lamp shade in my original room which was 203 so upon the discovery of the bedbug I went to the front desk to find the night attendant sleeping at the desk and the Indian owner on the phone sitting on the table in the lobby so when the host woke up I explained to him that I had saw the bedbug showed him the picture and I told him that I need to go close the door to the room and told him to come and see it for himself got to the room showed him the bedbug and he moved me to room 214 which smelled like the septic tank system need to be replaced and the water also had the smell of septic in both rooms and the walls air conditioner unit in room 214 has a piece of a cut 2x4 underneath it to hold it up off the floor the health department needs to go in and have them to fix the problems or make them close until they do read more

I never have done a bad review before. but this started the minute I walked into the hotel. I had already paid for a days before on my credit card. I gave my credit card and license to the gentleman behind the desk. It took him about 20 minutes to check me in. you there were only two other cars in the hotel parking lot so it was not busy. I asked him if there was a knowing that there was nothing on my credit card and he said oh the Internet is slow. Those were the only words that were exchanged between him and I went to our room one towel by the sink one towel in the bathroom for two adults. My husband turned on the TV and it was staticky couldn't even understand what the people were saying on the TV. I tried to hook up our phones with their Internet and it kept timing out. we went to our family reunion and while I was at the party, I noticed a $35 charge ..the front desk when I checked in never said he was charging my account. When we return to the hotel, I went back to the front desk to ask what the charge was for, and the man said I checked in 15 minutes early so they me $35 now if the man would've said that to me when I first checked in 15 minutes early I would've waited... and like I said it was not busy at all... my and I decided to drive back to Florida instead of staying the went downstairs and gave the man our keys and said that the hotel room was unacceptable and he never said anything. The next morning I checked my account to realize I had another $35 charge for $23.33. I called the reservation. They tried to connect me to the front desk and of course nobody answered so the reservation is told me that they would send me an email all I wanted to for especially the 23.33 I did get an email from them and it was just my receipt of $106. There was no itemizing on there whatsoever. I called back again on Tuesday and once again they would send me an itemized email and someone would be contacting me. It is Wednesday and I have not heard from anybody... the customer service at this hotel is terrible.. and also the inside pool light was out hanging over onto the concrete.. please check other hotels that area... read more

We checked into the Best Western Executive Inn well after midnight and the front desk was very kind, fast, and efficient at that hour. I was grateful as I was exhausted and I couldn't wait to get to bed! We had a standard double bedroom with a flat screen TV, microwave, ironing board & iron, and mini fridge. Everything was clean and comfortable! There was an on-site Mexican restaurant, and free breakfast in the lobby, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to eat while in Cairo. Would recommend for anyone passing though who needs a good night's rest! read more

I have to say I was very pleased with my stay here. The room was very comfortable, staff accommodating and suited my purpose quite nicely. I spent four days in Cairo visiting relatives and for the price, this was the perfect choice. Dorothy, Judy and staff were outstanding. Nice complimentary breakfast and I'm disappointed I didn't get to partake at the Mexican establishment on site. Since Cairo is my hometown, I will definitely choose this BW for future visits. read more

Just checked in on my way to pick up my new German Shepherd in Cairo, Ga! Front fedk staff was so friendly and helpful. I signed up for the Rewards program which offers several awesome rewards perks. Casa Grande is the Mexican restaurant in the hotel which came highly recommended for a good time! DJ spinning tonight and 2 for 1 drink specials. Looking forward to trying the food also. If I could give this place -1000 stars, I would. My family reserved 4 rooms over the weekend and the entire experience was dreadful. Here's a breakdown of all of the rooms: 1. This room had blood on the bathroom walls, shower curtains, and curtains in the common area. When my cousin went talk to the manager, they needed to call the housekeeping from home to clean the room. They were not able to occupy the room until 11pm. Additionally, the sheets were dirty and pillows had mold and mildew in them, so much that the housekeeper had to replace everything. She stated that the lady who was responsible for cleaning the second floor never changed the sheets, she just remade the beds and changed towels. Which brings me to our room.... 2. Upon entering room 214, there was a intense smell of urine. We inspected the beds and our sheets were filthy with dirt and old stains. The bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned (dirty tub, dirty floor, dirt ring in toilet) and mirror had water spots. Our center console with the light and outlets were non-functioning/ no power. The carpet was damp and filthy!!! We were able to catch the housekeeper that was called to my cousins room and request that she change our sheets. The next day, our key malfunctioned and we were not able to get in. We asked an employee to allow us in and he opened the door without verifying our identity. That tells me that anyone could have requested to get in any room and they would just open it. That was very alarming! Housekeeping did not come to our room all day on Saturday-- we had to request for someone to come clean and replace towels. 3. Room 216's shower head did not work AT ALL. My cousins were unable to shower the first night. Housekeeping did not come to their room so they did not have clean sheets for two nights. 4. Room 218 had roaches!!! The floor was so filthy, damp, and dirty that my daughters feet were BLACK! He too, did not have clean sheets or towels. When my cousin spoke with the owner, he said that we were just looking for a discount and that they inspected the room and found beer cans which caused the roaches. Roaches do not infest a room after 1 nights stay. Upon checkout, my dad asked to speak to the manager... an employee (Dee) stated that no one was available and that he would call later today. When my dad made his complaints, he stated that the carpet was old and needs to be replaced which is why the carpets were dirty and damp. My dad called again this afternoon, and surprisingly, the owner (Dee) answered. He must have forgotten that he told us he was an employee earlier this morning.... which tells me that he did not want to deal with our concerns. The pool was cloudy, housekeeping threw towels over the banister onto the ground, other patrons of the hotel were drunk, blocking stairways, and harassing 2 year old daughter and myself. Patrons had a variety of pets, which concerns me due to the lack of cleanliness that this place displayed. What makes this even worse is that, over the last 20 years, my family patronizes this hotel, as our family is from Cairo, GA. It has become a staple landmark for us during times of joy and sadness. Unfortunately, we stayed here again due to a death in the family, however, Best Western Executive Inn did not make this stay any less miserable. There was talk about BWEI being under new management, and remodeling, however, due to the lack of safety, health violations, and overall lack of compassion from management, we will not be staying here again. read more

THE REWIND! First of all, I knew that this would not be my ideal experience because at the time we made our reservations (several weeks in advance), we discovered that many of the choice hotel rooms were no longer available. We really wanted to attend the Victorian Christmas Festival in Thomasville so we settled for this hotel in a neighboring town. My number one rule with hotels is NO OUTSIDE DOORS!. Let's just throw that right out the window because that is exactly what we have. I take a deep breath when I hear this and give my husband permission to go ahead and book the room. In order to fully understand this experience, you will need to rewind about 70 years to a time when this hotel was built and furnished. It is a very basic hotel room with the big metal outside door. Instead of actual furniture, it has an entertainment center that houses the microwave and fridge on the front with just a couple of drawers added. The television sits on top. In lieu of actual night stands, there are a couple of drawers attached to the wall. Instead of using them, I decide that I will just use my luggage as my storage drawer. The desk is really a table but it and the provided chair was very comfortable. I liked the lamp with soft lighting and plenty of outlets. All of the lighting in the room is very soft and this was certainly appreciated. The "museum chair" with ottoman is so old that I decide I will just not sit there because it really bothers me. We are just not bonding. The bathroom is small and basic with a very low toilet that was meant for little people or those without legs. However, it is still functional. The closet and dressing area has great lighting for getting ready and plenty of space for storing your things. Television viewing options are limited, bring your computer. On to the bed: The bed was very comfortable and slept well. However, the bed covers were simply not appropriate. We like plush covers that have substantial weight. These were fine for a summer night but not substantial enough for December. They need to add a comforter to their bed linens because I prefer warmth from my covers and not the heat when I'm sleeping. We eventually picked up an extra blanket and a much better experience the following night. When I walk into my bathroom, I want to see ample washcloths. This means a minimum of four or six. I also would appreciate having one of those extra large garbage bags provided as well because we always generate a bit of trash from dining in and random shopping. I have come to understand that you can get anything you want if you tell the housekeeper that she doesn't have to clean your room for that particular day. As a matter of routine, we simply deliver the used towels and get fresh ones along with anything else we need. Winning! I actually liked the wash cloths as they were very soft and did not remove skin during use. I refer to this room as "the killer's room" because it is the room where the killer would hide out back in the day. In the old classic black and white movies, the killer would seek refuge in a hotel room as he waited for the "coppers" (police officers), to come and get him. He would be pacing back and forth while frantically puffing on a cigarette. That large window out front where he would continually peep out, we had it. That second door blocked by a piece of furniture, we had it! That low lighting that always casts a dark shadow over the entire room, we had it! That mysteriously dark carpet that hides blood stains, we had it! However, despite this being "the killer's room" the coppers never came and I do expect our final night to be uneventful. Bummer! The one thing I did enjoy about this hotel is that it is conveniently located on a main road just minutes from Thomasville and Tallahassee. Also, I rather enjoyed peeking out of that large window, looking for the "coppers". Oh my gosh, that train in the distance: Everything!! (The perfect way for the killer to get out of town). This hotel, might be ideal for that single guy or adventurous couple just passing through. I would not stay here with kids or seniors because amenities are important to their comfort. Remember, there is no carpet when you leave your room, no elevator and no convenient lobby to wander around at 3 am when you can't get to sleep. Déjà vu! Around this time last year, we were attending a Victorian Christmas Festival in TN and when I heard that we were staying in a Best Western, I remember saying "Oh my gosh, do those still exist!". Yes, and they must be a small town favorite. That hotel was light years ahead of this hotel in terms of amenities, décor and overall aesthetics. This Best Western needs to make a decision, either it is ready for its own historical marker or its time to start renovating. What's up BW! Fantastic stay - fantastic staff. Came in late at night, called ahead to let them know we were on our way. Raymond, who answered, reassured us he was waiting for our arrival. He was so pleasant when we arrived and when I asked if the roll out we requested was in the room he immediately double checked before we had a chance to unload a bag. He let us know the hotel was packed and he was working on getting breakfast prepared early to accommodate everyone. The room was great, no problems. Clean linens and en suite bathroom. There was a fridge and microwave in the room and the bed was comfortable. Raymond was still there in the morning when we went in for breakfast, as cheerful as when we arrived. I don't know that I've ever encountered hotel staff as sincere and friendly as him. Breakfast was great, included biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffle bar, fruit, pastries and yogurt with gluten free options available. The coffee was some of the best hotel coffee I've ever had but i also took the opprtunity to splurge by adding some caramel from the waffle bar on my second cup. Upon leaving the staff asked how our stay was and if there was anything they could have done better. I was really impressed by the whole staff. read more

This was a wonderful stay. From the moment we walked in the Staff was friendly, accommodating and provided us with everything we needed. They offer a full breakfast which was lovely, a pool that is refreshing and you are off the beaten path is a beautiful area. The room was lovely. Beds were comfortable, clean and the pillows were a dream. There was a microwave and a fridge in the room which was exactly what we needed. The bathroom was clean and stocked up with towels and toiletries. This Inn is well worth the cost and we had a great stay! read more

Loved it! The gentleman who checked us in was helpful and didn't get grouchy about our dog. ($10 extra which is reasonable). The on site Mexican restaurant had good food and reasonable prices. Our room was clean and we slept well. I could tell that Dorothy works hard. Our best surprise was the breakfast. The food was delicious and Deann was super friendly. When I walked in the room I immediately got the sense that someone had been there without any change of the linens. The bed covers were crumpled in the shape of a body- like someone had been laying there. My siblings had to help me check my bed for bugs. Luckily we didn't find bugs but found all kinds of crumbs, dirt, hair, weird stains. I sprayed the whole bed down with Lysol to try and delude myself into thinking it was not going to contaminate me with some unknown new disease caught from dirty motel room beds. I did feel a little bite as I was going to sleep but it could have been my imagination. The breakfast was mediocre with a decent selection. All in all the experience was spooky and unnerving. Some of the lights didn't work either. Drive to thomasville. I don't recommend this place. read more
