I'm not from Thomasville, never heard of Barberitos. Happy that I stopped by. The staff was all super friendly & efficient at their jobs. The place was packed, tho the line moved quickly. I got the Steak Burrito & it did not disappoint. The burrito was huge & packed with very well seasoned steak, rice, & all the other fillers that I wanted. The chips were crisp, salty & delicious. The salsa bar was well stocked & very clean. The restaurant had plenty of seating & was very clean & modern. I will be a repeat customer. read more

I ordered 3 bowls and a burrito. The steak bowl has No steak or lettuce. The veggie bowl has No rice or lettuce and I did not receive 3rd bowl at all. I'm not sure if they cook their pinto beans or not, but mine tasted like they were dumped right out the can and into my "bowl". The bowls I did receive were incredibly skimpy. While the food had good flavor, the ambiance and service were terrible. The people preparing the food were arguing about who was responsible for which duty on the line and none of the 4 people standing around offered to help carry my large order to the table. Barberitos - another MexAmerican place. Walking in we thought "Moes, Chipotles" and that's essentially what we got. There the usual fare - tacos, burritos, etc., and you pick and choose your items and dressing like M or C. The food is prepared fresh and uses fresh ingredients (M and C0. As other reviewers mentioned, the staff is young and dresses like they're serving in a college dive joint, but maybe that's the vibe the franchise wants. We arrived at 6:30'ish, and the floor and tables could definitely have used a sweeping and wipe down. The salsa bar consisted on three offerings - tomatilla, which tasted very much like a true Mexican source according to ur native Mexican member; red slasa with a bit of heat, and a 'HOT' sauce that was assertive with heat, but not hot hot (my friends say I don't understand what's hot, as I add hot sauces to everything including salads, so take this into consideration). The protein here (hey there's TOFU!) seems more flavorful that M or C, but that may be perception. And the service ine never seemed to lag while we were there. Would we go out of our way to visit Barberitos? Likely not, but if we're in the area and need an AmeriMex fix, it'll be on our list. read more

If you've never had Barberitos before, you're in for a treat! They've recently updated their pricing so it's a LOT less confusing. Mushrooms, sour cream, avocado, and guac are always extra, and if you're not sure, just ask. It's a popular place to eat for lunch, and they also do catering, so you have to time your visit right if you want to avoid a line. Reggie and Robert are a jam-up team on the front line, and they're quick to remember your preferences after you come through a few times. The food is always fresh and tastes great. They have the BEST chips!! If you've been and had a bad experience, I suggest giving them another try. My only complaint is the cleanliness in the eating area -- although the tables get wiped down, it's nothing unusual to see chip crumbs and other bits of food in the chairs and benches. I'd also recommend a fragrance-free cleaner, as it's very disrupting to the senses to smell the cleaner as someone is wiping down a table and you're trying to eat. read more

It's unfortunate that a place with such great food can't figure out how to operate with delivery services. I have tried to support local businesses during this time, but my order has been wrong both times I have ordered. When I call back to ask for the items to be delivered, they don't have the capacity because the deliveries are only through delivery apps. So, both times I have ordered takeout, I have had to drive to the restaurant to pick up the missing parts of my order and no one has even apologized or offered to make it right. Tried Barberitos for the first time today. Overall it was decent-tasting food but nowhere near as fresh and tasty as Chipotle. Chipotle definitely blows Barberitos away in terms of taste! Also the chicken did not taste like fresh chicken at all, it tasted a day or two old and questionable that it even tasted like chicken? Agreed with another reviewer who said the tofu burrito tasted much better and fresher than the chicken. Will not be getting chicken again! Also the mini burritos were as large as a normal burrito so ended up having way too much food. That said, I placed a call ahead order and the food was ready & waiting upon my arrival and the orders were 100% correct + they gave a ton of chips & salsa so that is the good news! Also had trouble placing initial order via the app and the app charged me twice. The restaurant was nice enough to call to confirm my order & credit me die the 2nd unintended order. Staff was friendly & helpful both on the phone and in person. Don't think I will visit Barberitos again and will instead drive to Tallahassee for Chipotle, but possibly will visit Barberitos again as it is still pretty decent if you're craving quick Mexican food. read more

I use to love barberitos until I received my order tonight. I ordered a fish burrito and they said they didn't have fish. Instead of offering another protein the young lady just continued to make a veggie burrito. And the salad I ordered was smaller than usual. I miss the guys that use to be their b/c they gave you what you ordered and gave you enough to really fill you up. Sad I chose this instead of Osaka's tonight. read more

This place isn't fancy, but we eat here often and always enjoy it. Burritos, Quesadillas, nachos, tacos...the usual fare you'd expect. Always fresh. The kids who work here are all pleasant and friendly, and will go out of their way to give you what you want. It's cafeteria style, so beware if you're looking to get served. Barberitos is my new favorite place to eat in Thomasville. The food was extremely fresh. The chips were salty and sweet. I almost couldn't finish the burrito it was giant sized, filled with flavor! I read other reviews and they say it's another Moes, Barberitos is 100% better. I was skeptical of the "fresh" salsa bar.... However I was amazed, each salsa had its own distinct taste and tasted like it was just prepared. I would recommend Barberitos Southwest Grille and Cantina to anyone. This redefines low quality tex-mex food due to the owner's need to maximize profit at the customer's expense. It seems like management has devised a method to make giving their customers their money's worth painful to their employees. The guacamole is mostly pico de gallo and heaven forbid if you want a more than just a burrito wrap or taco shell as a meal. Taco Bell is an order of magnitude better and half the price. Save yourself some grief and eat anywhere else or drive a bit farther and eat at Barberitos in Tallahasse which is a 5 star restaurant. read more
