We are up here to see the Galt 4th of July festivities. My daughter's clan is responsible for the Armor vehicles in the parade and on display here at the BW. Once I had confirmed my time off for the holiday I went on line to make hotel arrangements. The web site for the hotel was easy and straight forward, I booked a king suite which included a jacuzzi tub and a hot breakfast. I had called before we left the house to confirm the room and to advise the front desk of our late check in for our room. After a four hour drive we had arrived at the BW, there were a few parking spots and here we are. The check in was easeful, our room was just down the hall, yeah. All is good, clean room and bathroom, jacuzzi tub, tv worked, large mini fridge, plenty of coffee, we cranked the AC and slept. Breakfast was hot premade scrambled eggs, link sausage, a Belgian wafflle maker, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea and dispenser juice, Certainly good enough. After the parade we met up the kids and joined in with the pool party. The pool water was cool enough to refresh the jacuzzi not too hot to be uncomfortable. As the party faded we were back in the room to wash off in the big jacuzzi tub. Water temperature was good and the jets were good and strong. Came here for our 9 year anniversary. Upon arrival Hope greeted us with a warm welcome! She literally is a ray of sunshine!! It's been a long time since we've had amazing customer service!! She answered all our questions. Would definitely come back thanks to her!! Hope you were AWESOME!!! The room was cute loved that the fan stayed on all night. I need that white noise. I guess this room hasn't been stayed in for a while as the bath tub was a bit dusty. The beds are super comfortable they gave 4 pillows two super soft and two firm gave a nice choice. Hot tub is open until 10 pm so we could enjoy it later at night. Overall our stay was enjoyable!! Even got to see Hope on our way out!! Give that girl a raise she deserves it. !! read more

We got here pretty late from SoCal for a 4 day music festival in Sacramento. This hidden gem is about a 20 minute drive. Polly, was very helpful from the beginning of our stay to the long 5 days that we stayed there. She was very kind and helpful. In fact all the staff was kind and helpful. The place is well kept, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the breakfast was good with lots of options, the swimming pool and hot tub was clean, so was the fitness center. Don't expect to get a power work out. You get cardio work out only. But who's really working out when you're on a mini get away. We'll stay here again next year for the next music festival. read more

Horrible - the hotel desk clerk said the mayor or someone owned the hotel. I told him I was booking the hotel for my son who is on his first leave from military in a year. The hotel tub didn't work and there was only a shower in the room. So, we changed our mind about the room. We were told to bad, we booked thru hotels.com so no refund! Not even half. Had a stay cation here because we needed to getaway from the normal home life and needed to soak in a tub. Let me tell you I'm glad we chose this hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff were friendly. Game changer of it all was the size of the whirlpool tub/shower, website pictures do not do it justice. It was massive. We were visiting the area to attend a retreat in Lodi and needed a nice, affordable place to stay. Let me just say, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms were super clean, beds were comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. You get free toiletries and breakfast in the morning, which is hard to believe with how affordable it is. It's in a safe area too. But I do want to make a shoutout to Raj! He made our check in process so smooth and he was so easy to get along with, and cracked many jokes. His customer service is one of the best I've experienced at a hotel, and we travel A LOT. He even allowed us to change the input on the TV, so we could connect our Firestick to it (the remote we previously had didn't give us an option to change the input; standard for most hotels), but a simple ask turned into us getting to watch Netflix, so I say that's a win. Raj was very kind, even though he was mopping the front lobby he still let us in the building and checked us in. Made sure our day was going well and was asking personable questions about us and returning the same energy of answers. Very easy to get to, two gas stations right by the location if you need something the hotel may not provide, overall very quiet after hours and very kind morning staff/housekeeping staff as well. Staff I spoke with were friendly and pleasant. I was worried about how late we'd be to check in (way past midnight) after some issues with out car rental and they were helpful with questions I had. The hotel was good (not great- a little outdated) and the room was clean. However, I had a horrible experience with the night staff. The man at the front desk was super rude from the moment I walked in. I don't think he meant to be, but he certainly didn't try not to be. He was blowing up my phone at 8:30pm, then when I didn't answer because I was walking into the lobby to check in, he DEMANDED a new phone number that would work when he called. There was no asking, it was "I need a new number that works." Why? I don't want anyone calling me, much less a place that I am giving money to in order to relax for a couple days. I gave him a Google Voice number because I don't give out my personal number and don't want to be bothered by people calling. That was the whole point of not answering in the first place, and of getting a hotel to get away. When I went to get a luggage cart to haul my medical supplies to my room, the front desk "gentleman" interrupted the guest at the desk to demand that we put the cart back exactly where we found it when we were done, like we weren't going to in the first place. I am an adult and do not need to be rudely told to put something back where I found it, as it's the right thing to do anyway. Upon checking out on Sunday, my phone is again ringing with a call from the hotel. What on earth can you possibly need now? I work 4:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and weekends are my time to be away from technology and outside stressors. The constant hounding from this staff member, as well as the poor attitude and demeanor of said staff member, made this weekend stay frustrating and infuriating. I spend nearly every weekend at a hotel lately, and this is BY FAR the worst experience I have had at any of them. I'm still upset a week later. read more

2/11/20 My company booked my room here for 2 nights. Upon arrival, the front desk receptionist was very helpful and accommodating. The bed was clean, bed bug free, and comfortable. Beware! my daughter and I recently stayed here fora wedding in the area. we were in our beds sleeping when a stranger entered our room with his key. Fortunately he was not there to harm us but had been given a key that opened our door. the front desk did not understand why that happened and said they would check with maintenance. Worst customer service ever,won't be back. Quinta inn 2 blocks down much nicer. I'll stay there next time. Update day 2 morning so they have decided this would be a good time to clean carpets right outside our rooms, extremely loud , we're here to attend my granddaughters wedding will be checking out first thing tomorrow. Nobody called me back like they said they would after I let them know the situation. Dirty Dirty!!! Checked in at 3pm, left immediately and got back around 9pm. Went to lay down and the sheets were filthy. Like what the hell is this. Thought it was just 1 bed but pulled back the sheets on the other and found hair everywhere. They spray the room with air freshener or something to make it smell clean. Called front desk, he said no house keeping is available but he can bring me sheets to change. Really!!!! You want me to pay full price for this dump and expect me to change my own sheets because the housekeeping didn't change it after the last guest. Nope. They had no other rooms to move us to. He came with clean sheets and asked for us to help. We did. Just because we are good people. Luckily I always bring my Lysol spray and clorox wipes and disinfect any hotel room we stay in. Immediately smelled heavily of cleaner but nothing looked clean, like they sprayed cleaner in the air. Found hair in the shower and bed. Smelled like mold in bathroom; wiped picture from corner by shower. shower head leaks & sprays everywhere including all over ceiling. no ventilation so after taking a shower it was damp in bathro for hours after. woke up covered in 20-30 bug bites. The only exceptional feature about this motel was that the shower was good. The people running motel were friendly. Our air conditioner didn't work right. Bathroom appeared moldy- poor ventilation. Door to bathroom would not stay opened. We were only given one bar of soap and 2 towels for 2 people- so had to request more. Phone light was blinking and office couldn't tell us how to turn it off so we unplugged it. Sorry to say but would never return there! read more

Going by all the negative reviews, I was almost willing to sleep in my car, but decided to take a chance. To my surprise and delight, everything was perfect. Perhaps checking in at 3:00 PM and staying in a room with a King bed helped. I asked for the most quiet room on the second floor, and got one far from the elevator. The desk clerk was very pleasant and accommodating. Street noise was annoying in the early evening, with the locals showing off their loud exhausts. Finding the HBO channel on the TV helped to mask that noise. Another plus: There were no trains going by all night, as with the previous place I had stayed. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. The room was perfectly clean, breakfast far exceeded my expectations, and I thought the price was reasonable. So, why all the negative reviews? Perhaps it's because having even a slightly negative experience motivates people to vent their feelings, to "yelp" about it. So, why would I take the trouble to write a good review? That's to help out people like myself who would otherwise be discouraged from staying at a place such as this one. Based on my positive experience, I'll certainly stay here again. Our stay was alright. The room was clean and everything worked. However one of the employees, a male who was working both nights and did not have a name tag, parked in a no parking area behind my car and blocked us in. When we asked him whose car was blocking us in he got irritated and said it was his. He then went to the front door and huffed at us saying come on when we didnt move fast enough for him. After that everytime he saw us he would give us dirty looks. We also did not put the maid service sign up since we were only staying 2 nights but when we came back to the room the maids had been in it. We had the whirlpool tub which was nice but some of the staff were so mean and rude that we only left our room to leave and eat. Swing and a miss choosing this place. Check in is at 3pm but we couldn't get into our room until nearly 5pm traveling with a cranky toddler in need of a nap because the room hadn't been cleaned. We got a half hearted apology from the manager, who then left the hotel entirely to one person behind the desk who had just arrived. No other accommodation or even offer of water while we waited. When we finally got into our room it was decent but smelled musty and only half of the TV channels worked (and none of them matched the guide in the room which was a bit comical). Construction Zone, literally. This review is based on a one nite stay while they were under construction. Parking lot was small and part of it closed. Every part of the hotel was undergoing renovation. The lobby was a wreck. The hallways were horrible. Holes in the walls due to renos and mismarked signage. Signs directing you to rooms were not labeled correctly and there was not an elevator (not a huge deal). Inside the room was nothing special. The beds were fairly comfortable but the sheets were low quality. I was happy for the white bedding so at least I could tell if they were clean. It was the kind of place you want to wear shoes or at least socks to walk around inside your room. There was a crawl space access right above one bed. I gave it 2 stars because the location was ideal. Just off I5 and breakfast was good enough. read more

Well first off when we arrived and went to check in we weren't greeted , Staff isn't friendly you ask them a question and it seams too much trouble for them to answer it for you RUDE !!! When we got to our room we noticed it wasn't clean and it had a stanch . When we turned down the beds we noticed hair and blood spots on the sheets beds aren't comfortable at all and pillows are hard , they say free breakfast which is a little brown bag with a small bottle of water and a granola bar and a small danish . The pool area isn't much better band aids from other guest on the floor the pool water cloudy and is you need a towel and ask for one they rudely throw it at you . We were on our way back to SoCal. Stopping Approx 7PM for gas in flag city. We were too tired to go 6 more hours. I called around to a few hotels and this one had AAA discount and decent reviews. We were pleasantly surprised with the kind and professional service and the large, clean & comfy room! Even had a small micro & frige. In the morning there was a substantial breakfast with waffle maker, gags, yogurt, oatmeal etc. I would recommend this to friends and any one that wants a good price, nice lodging and right off the freeway exit. read more

We were very disappointed in our dealing with this hotel.We love Best Western and have always had a pleasant experience until now. We booked a disabled room for ten days and they said check in time would be 2 o'clock and yes, they had a pool. We arrived close to 5. o'clock and the room wasn't ready. We were told to wait 20 minutes which we did ,and it was still mot ready and they gave us a different price than the original When we finally got in our room it was not a room for disabled at all...no walk in shower as promised and they forgot to tell us that the pool was closed. please do not stay here. i have lived in galt 95% of my life and moved away a few years ago. came back for my family members wedding and my family stayed here. the place is very unsanitary. we stayed in a king sized bed room with a pull out bed because we of course were honest from the get go and said there's 3 people staying in the room. we pulled out my bed and the sheet were clearly unchanged because the was crumbs, only one fitted sheet and a bottle of LUBE in it... we called the front desk and bless her sweet heart, she was horrified and apologized profusely. at first she was going to call a maintenance worker (which we were very confused about) but come to find out she was the only one at the hotel and she said that she was going to put it in her nightly report.. after that night we heard absolutely nothing from management, nothing from anyone apologizing and offering just simple all new sheets to make things right.. we are not the type of family to expect anything like refunds or compensation, when mistakes happen but a simple manager coming to the door and apologizing to us would have changed my outlook of everything. of course we all know what happens in hotels.. but to see it in the bed your going to be sleeping in for a few nights is disgusting. i will include the pictures below. i really hope they get more staff and do through checks with their cleaning. read more
