With my husband traveling for work (and me just tagging along), my husband and I decided to stay at this Hampton Inn location. This Hampton Inn & Suites is pretty close to Kettleman Lane and the 99 freeway, which is fairly easy to get to. We stayed here 2 nights and had a room with 2 queen beds. Our room also had a microwave and small mini fridge. This location has a gym (which I did not use upon this visit) and complementary breakfast which is from 6 am- 10 am each day. They also have breakfast bags available as well if you don't have time to dine in for your breakfast. Upon checking in on Monday night, we had an employee help us. She gave us 2 card keys for room 332 and then we headed upstairs with our luggage on one of those luggage dollies that can be found at the front of the lobby entrance. When we checked into our room, we were surprised to see shoes at the front of the door (inside) and a bag of trash. We also heard voices so we quickly walked out and headed back down to the lobby because we soon realized that we were given room keys to a room that had other guests. We came back to the lobby and told the employee about our experience and she realized that she was supposed to check us into 322 and not 332 and gave us a new set of card keys. I am glad the other people didn't see us when we entered their room by mistake and am glad this experience didn't happen to use when we were staying at this hotel because I know that would have freaked me out a bit. Anyways, the breakfast we had each morning was a nice hot breakfast that had scrambled eggs, ham, french toast sticks, make your own waffles, assorted pastries, yogurt, fruit, cold cereal and instant oatmeal packs to make your own hot oatmeal, coffee, hot water (with tea bags and hot chocolate packets) and assorted juices. Overall, I thought it was a nice stay and would most likely stay here at this location again if I was staying out in Lodi (as I have stayed at some of the other hotels in Lodi from previous visits and didn't really like staying in those hotels). read more

This hotel has really gone downhill compared to a few years. It's crazy a Hilton is run this poorly

If I could rate zero, I would. I was checked into a room with an unmade bed, dirty night stand and towels strewn about the bathroom, see photos of what the room looked like. The clerk, Adam Smith, was not helpful. Adam canceled my reservation. Hilton Honors apologized profusely for his conduct and said this was not Hilton standards. Thankfully, the Hilton Honors number assisted me after an hour in finding a clean room about 10 miles away. I left my contact number for management or the Hilton Honors to get back to me about their employees conduct. I was told it would take about 48 hours. It's been over a week and no feedback to date. read more

This Hampton Inn was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for a quick one night stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I will say there were a couple of cosmetic issues (peeling wallpaper - easy fix) and the fan was pretty loud. We slept well. Parking was well lit and it is further away from some of the more questionable areas in Lodi. Not a lot of actual restaurants nearby, mostly fast food. There is a Starbucks in the same plaza but Hampton Inn does have a complimentary breakfast (I didn't have time to partake). This is our second or third time staying at this facility, and it seems it is better each time. The rooms aren't any special, but they have always been clean. The staff is what makes this place shine. Summer, the day manager today, was grace in the face of a guest being hateful. (Shooting the messenger is never an appropriate tactic. It seems the guest never brought her gripes to the attention of the staff, but rather blasted them on the way out. ). She is super helpful and articulate, and was pleasant even while being attacked. The woman taking care of the breakfast was very efficient and kept the breakfast area well-stocked and with great variety. All-in-all, we will be back and we appreciate the warm and friendly staff. read more

It's a wonderful little getaway from reality but in style. The rooms are clean and they have extra pillows and blankets. The staff is very friendly and helpful and, when my thermostat wasn't working they were right on it. I would definitely recommend it, and I will probably be back. Good Day Yelpies Upon setting up a room here was a 10 plus the person working the front desk was inviting and listened to my requests and found the right room at the right price.(Get the suite the price and the room size is worth it) super quiet and a great place for dogs our St. Berdoodle approves . I'm sad to say the breakfast was not the same. As I approached the breakfast area you could hear laughter which was very delightful to hear as happy employees would mean a great customer experience. This unfortunately is not the case. The young staff members were laughing at each other about events from the night before which could be heard very clearly up in to how sad the poor employee feels during her birthday and who her true friends are....If that energy was used to make sure the food was prepared correctly I'm sure this place would be a 10 plus all day. Both regular and dark roast coffee was out at 8:30am, eggs were watery and tasted sweet so passed on that. Oatmeal was not oatmeal it was some type of 2 day old soup. I must digress. If you're not a breakfast person then this place will be a 10 for you but if you're a breakfast person be prepared to eat what is available and keep your expectations low. read more

Love that the AC fan can be put on "Continuous" to provide white noise for sleeping. My BFF and I shared a "2 Queen with studio suite" and really appreciated the separate sink area from the toilet/shower area. Enjoyed the quiet 4th floor. Would give all zeros if possible. Staff is extremely rude, unprofessional and not helpful. The general manager doesn't return calls neither does the house keeping supervisor. If you stay I highly recommend making sure you triple check your room before checking out. This hotel should have been remodeled at least 3 years ago. Shower is leaking and making a dripping sound. Bedding is layered with a part that doesn't seemed to potentially washed. Bed is old and uncomfortable. Carpets are stained. I would recommend 2 hotels that are newer down the street. Automatic texts are sent asking about your stay which is silly. I have mixed feelings about Hampton Inn & Suite in Lodi CA. A decade ago we spent at least one weekend a month for a year while we renovated our house. As a result,we were looking forward to this stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was good. The front desk person allowed me to turn off the annoying TV which allowed us to have a nice quiet breakfast. On the other hand, the hotel had not been updated since we were last there. The hallway felt old and cramped. It just felt like we had gone back to the 1990s. read more

Stayed here over Thanksgiving and had to say that the room was very clean and the prices fairly reasonable especially for a holiday weekend. The one thing I would critique would be the eggs at breakfast - they tasted kinda stale, however everything else was delicious and since the food was included in room fee I can't complain too much :) read more

We sought this hotel out as my husband and I stayed here a few years back, and it was great ! WAS being the operative word. This Hampton is tired and run down and frankly not very clean. The carpets are thread barren and very dirty! Breakfast was terrible! They are understaffed. The only reason I am giving it one star is the girl who checked us in and the girl who checked us out were both very efficient and also very nice! We will not be staying here in the future. I made a reservation based on the advertisement stating they allowed pets, once I was told they did not allow pets I canceled my reservation within 10 minutes of booking, I was promised a refund. Nearly two months later and $200, I have not been issued a refund for services not rendered. Didn't even step foot in the building. They said per their policy a cancellation needs to be done 24 hours in advance and since my reservation was same day I am obligated to pay for the room. After I was assured a refund for false advertising. Don't book here, they don't care about you. Unless you want to feel violated, then this is your place to stay. read more

If you want to be treated like a criminal, stay at the Lodi Hampton and deal with Adam, the front desk supervisor. This guy has a serious chip on his shoulder. I had a confirmed reservation, then out of nowhere, he starts claiming my card is invalid and threatens to call the police! Turns out we're friends with the hotel owner, and mentioning that seemed to make him even angrier. We went back to sort things out, paid for the night, and this guy still kicks us out! He was yelling, making accusations - the whole scene was witnessed by his coworker and is probably on camera too. Worst hotel experience of my life. Adam needs a serious attitude adjustment or a new job where he doesn't interact with people. read more

We spent the night here last night and it was a pretty nice place. The room was big and very open. I kind of feel like it needed a couch or something to fill up the open space lol. The property was beautifuly landscaped and the decor was pretty classy. They had a gym and the pool was heated. Staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. There was a Starbucks and 7-11 just across the parking lot which was really nice because they were literally a 1 minute walk from our room. The breakfast buffet was great too they had sausage and eggs and wafts and lots of fresh fruit and coffee. I would totally stay here again and it's confidently located off the 99. read more

The hotel appearance is very nice. It sits just off of Kettleman Lane where we had access to coffee,the hospital and places to choose from to eat. The interior was very clean. Now the bad. For the price you would think the rooms would be a little nicer. The shower control was broken and had to be pushed in to change the temperature and no that's not the function of a single temp control shower supply. The beds were extremely hard. They sounded and felt like laying on a sheet of plywood. If it had been just my wife and I,we might have attributed it to both of us having bad backs but my 28 year old son complained his was uncomfortable as described. The building structure was such that you could feel the vibration of people walking around in the next room if your feet were touching the floor. Would I stay there again? Probably because it's located in what looks like a safe area and they serve some sort of breakfast even though we checked out before we could try it. read more

This Hampton Inn was very comfortable. I was able to check into the hotel with the app and selected my room without any issues. The rooms were clean and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The breakfast was hearty and there was hot coffee and fruits available anytime. Check out was easy and I even got two more bottles of water for the road. read more

I'm not sure how this hotel has so many 5 star ratings. I'd give it a solid 2.5 based on my overall stay. The walls in the rooms are paper thin, we could hear stomping upstairs, conversations in the hallways, any noise outside our window, and housekeeping cleaning throughout the evening. We could feel the mattress springs in our bed and the pillows were very flat. The cable tv provided is outdated compared to similar hotels I've stayed in. Our room came with a microwave and mini fridge. The fridge was ridiculously loud I ended up unplugging it. If you decide to stay here bring a good pair of ear plugs. The highlight was the free morning breakfast, an assortment of hot and cold food options. read more

Stayed here for 3 days and two nights on our trip to visit family. The weather outside was over 100 degrees, so we decided to go to the hotel pool. Upon our arrival at the pool, we found it green, slimy, and filled with bugs. I kid you not, during the duration of our stay, the pool remained in this disgusting condition. Overall, the hotel looked a tad run down, and although our rooms were clean, we will most likely not be staying there again. I had a great stop at this hotel. We were driving a long distance and needed to stay in a hotel for one night. It got the job done. Front desk got us room keys, there was complimentary water, tea, and coffee, beds were comfortable, room was big enough for four, bathroom was clean, amenities were stocked, workout room was functional, and breakfast was delicious! I have to say that this was the worst experience I have had at a Hilton. The 2 ladies at the front desk were extremely rude and they just did not care about the customers. I booked my stay a month in advance with the Hilton Honors and they said that I could not get a room until after 3:00. we were trying to check in at 2:30 and would not let us. Here on business trip so I'm gonna be 100pct frank....Pills on the floor bugs dead on sink smells like sewer hot tub is broke Stay was confirmed by corp and my self however still had to sit in lobby for 1 hour while they sorted it out. Ridiculous. Not handicapped but placed in handicapped room so we have no furniture just bed and tv...not in view of each other. Wonder what their definition of a suite is? One of the nicest Hampton's I have stayed in. Great location close to the downtown "historic" district but far enough away to keep the prices lower. Good proximity to shopping, wine tasting, and business. Room was clean and the staff exceptionally nice and accommodating. Stay was disappointing at best, made a reservation for a room with a pet and was given a specific rate, upon check in I was informed the rate would not be honored as we had a small pet and the room rate would be 20% higher. This is at least very deceptive if not outright bait and switch. Additionally I was told that the room would have refrigerator-upon arrival, no refrigerator. Staff was courteous but were unable or unwilling to address either of the reservation issues. The room was very basic 2 chairs, a desk, a bed and TV on a stand, there was not even a closet, coat hook or laundry bag!! Booked a stay for business this week. Front Desk clerk was completely incompetent. I was given key cards that didn't work. My wife had to rush back downstairs to the public restroom and attempt to correct the key card issues. Front desk clerk was unapologetic and less than courteous. Meanwhile, I'm standing in the hall with luggage outside the room when she returns with two more keys that didn't work for the second time. I left my wife in the hall and returned to the Front Desk to find it was abandoned. No desk clerk, no customers, no employees in sight. I saw what I thought was an employee walking away down the hall and I called out. It wasn't an employee. Soon enough, the same incompetent desk clerk appeared from some back room and seems bothered by my discontent. I explained the issue and suggested his incompetency was affecting my experience with Hampton Inn. He told me to "settle down". When I didn't 'settle down' and continued to explain my dissatisfaction with his service, he stated that he was "frightened" by my demeanor and called the Lodi Police Department to have my wife and I removed from the property. We were refunded and told by LPD to leave the property due to desk clerk's complaint. I intend to file legal actions against the desk clerk and Hampton Inns in the weeks to come.
