Stayed at this Best Western recently and we had a nice clean room. the free breakfast we had in the morning was probably the best free breakfast of any hotel chain I have ever stayed in. I used to travel often for my job and could not believe how good this place was. In the courtyard each morning at 7am, the owner or a representative would make omelet's, custom made to your order and they were prepared on an original covered chuck-wagon. Nice outdoor seating as well. Very relaxed place and a great stop if you find yourself needing a great place on your road-trip. We recommend the Best Western Pioneer in Lusk, Wyoming. read more

This is a good hotel. Beds were comfortable, showers were strangely luxurious including the shampoo and conditioner. My hair was incredibly soft which is not the norm for hotels. Absolutely one of best places we've had, and for sure the best nights sleep, but the best part is the breakfast ! we arrived and was greeted by Lore' super friendly You know what it is just a huge family there , from the time you check in , our room was clean thank you Brenda . The Bed was so comfortable and the owners make the best omelett 's , breakfast was amazing from built your own breakfast burritos to biscuits gravy eggs sausage waffles the list goes on , you will definitely get full !!!! We had a great experience from start to finish. Check-in was a breeze after a long day and the front desk lady was extremely accommodating and friendly. We had to hit the road for a long drive and the breakfast was amazing. The front desk lady gave us a short tour of all the food options and was very attentive. Rooms were clean and laid out well. Staff at all levels were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was incredible inside (expansive buffet) and outside (chuck wagon omelet bar). This is a decent size Beat Western just off the highway in Lusk, WY. I got to this place at 2 am. The night clerk was awesome with helping me and my family get off the road from a long day of travel and into a great room. The room was huge and it great condition. During the Sturgis Rally, pieces will go up. They have a continental breakfast with a great selection. Jordan was there to direct hotel guests and give them a run down of the food selections. He was amazing, very helpful and kind. The owners were also there, they were making omelets for the guests as well. They have a small fitness center, pool and have bikes available to use. Great atmosphere. Great time. I'll definitely stay again. read more

I stayed in this hotel with my family on our road trip. We stayed in two rooms both identical two queens no smoking rooms. Although these were no smoking rooms my dad and brothers room reeked of cigarette smoke and the rooms were musty. What great hospitality! Working in Casper for a few days and realized there was a rodeo in town, no this was the closest hotel. What luck. The owners and their employees of this Best Western not only meet your needs, but anticipate them! I cannot ever remember being so happy in a hotel. Seriously happy, we stayed here on our way to Sturgis and 2 nights on our way back! Good people, comfy bed, great conversations. Everyone that works here is delightful, EVERYONE. When we pulled up my husband went to check in, an employee greeted me and showed me where they have motorcycle washing facilities around the corner, explained breakfast, gathering in the afternoons in the courtyard with their really cool rock furniture... Each person takes pride in their participation and is genuinely happy you have arrived. One morning we were greeted with an early rain. When we went out to breakfast, the manager had put towels on our bikes for us!! No one does this... then on to breakfast... the owners are out front preparing made to order omelets in a covered wagon (coffee, juices, etc) while the regular breakfast is going inside. You can do one or both. But seriously do both! The couple out front can only be surpassed by the super happy gal in the dining room. She greets you happily with an authentic smile and is happy to help with anything. Do yourself a favor and just visit here. You really won't regret it! What a treat to stay here. Friendly staff, old but well appointed rooms, nice towels and quiet. They recommended a local restaurant that was good. In the morning what a great breakfast! You could either eat a full buffet inside or get an omelet outside. We'll probably never be back here, we were on the way to Mt. Rushmore but I'd definitely stay here again. Wow! The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. They had prepared our room with a washcloth design and flower on the bed as a welcome. The breakfast is unlike any other breakfast you would get at a hotel. They offered sausage, eggs, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, and a lot more. The giy working in the dining room was genuinely kind and enthusiastic. He welcomed people in, gave us all breakfast tours, and paid attention to detail. To top it off, they made ready-to-order omeletes outside at the covered wagons! The general manager and owners were cooking and were very kind. We try to stay here every year on our way to and from AZ. The staff is fabulous, rooms are clean, and the breakfast is beyond amazing!! In the summer they have a build your own omelette bar in the covered wagon outside. Best sleep ever!!! I rarely give 5 stars, but this place earned it!! LaRae (sp?) at the front desk was wonderful. I called her from Laramie and reserved a room based on the other Yelp reviews. They were totally right! We pulled in at 11pm on the 4th of July. LaRae had us registered and set up in no more than 15 minutes. Got to the room and it was clean and spacious. There was someone setting off fireworks from a mortar just a few blocks down and we barely heard them. LaRae even informed us that the fireworks would end at midnight and warned us that they to set off a sonic boom to let the town know that it was time for fireworks to end. The bed was the most comfortable on our whole trip! They have laundry services and the whole place had a comfortable feeling to it. The next morning, the staff was again friendly and knowledgeable. Their breakfast bar was clean and well stocked. And the chuck wagon - what a great touch! This is an excellent breakfast and well worth the stay in and of itself. If I am anywhere near Lusk again on my travels, there is no question of where I am staying! read more

We stumbled upon this hotel around 2 a.m. during our road trip. It was like winning lottery when we found this little town that had such a wonderful hotel and pet friendly! Staff at this complex went above and beyond to help. The rooms are HUGE and bed was wonderful! We had a good nights sleep and went to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. We were so shocked to see that it wasn't just your regular hotel breakfast! They had omelets outside (amazing) and a full spread inside! It was like I was visit grandma's house! There were so many freshly cooked options! There is seating inside and outside (dog-friendly), which was amazing for us! THIS HOTEL IS AMAZING! All hotels should be this wonderful! We got caught in a blizzard and had to stop in Lusk. We woke up the staff to get us a room. After being woke they were kind and patient and quick to get us a room. The rooms were clean. Bath a body works toiletries available in each room. Large flat screen tv, very clean, quiet and just a nice sleep. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast I have ever had! On top of it the guy who does the breakfast took pride in his job. He showed me around had chatted with me, I explained I needed to get back on the road so he got me a Togo plate for my daughter and I to eat on the road. I have to stop on this trip all the time and I stay in hotels in small towns and they are always run down and crappy and if the breakfast is anything at all it's just cold cereal. After driving all day, we stopped in this cute little town of Lusk, Wy. What a wise decision to stay here. I slept better here than I do at home sometimes. A great front desk staff, very clean and comfortable room, and a breakfast that rivals any Hampton Inn or big city hotel. The breakfast hostess greeted us, gave us a tour of the breakfast area, and with her infectious smile, left us to stuff our faces! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! read more

This place is a gem! Stayed the night on our way through to Utah. The staff was absolutely wonderful, very helpful and enthusiastic! The rooms were recently renovated it seemed. I am a bathroom snob and the bathrooms were great! Very clean! The rooms were on the smaller size but they had everything! Tv, refrigerator, desk and a table. And free WiFi that worked very well. On the way back from Mt. Rushmore, and a trip across the U.S. We stopped at the Best Western in Lusk, WY, and boy were we happy about that choice! First, desk clerk beat my work discount, and gave a great deal on a wonderfully clean, new and comfortable room! We woke in the morning, packed, and out the door to a cold morning...but there at the chuck wagon, in the middle of the courtyard, was the owner and his son, making amazing hot omelets...very tasty orange juice, then they said, oh, there is more breakfast inside...antiques from the family, all around the lobby, wonderful hot biscuits and gravy...very friendly and kind employees and family...is this not how all hotels should be run? What a treat! Traveling cross country from Texas and landed in Lusk late in the evening. Luckily we booked in advance because there were no vacancies. And, I know the reason. This place is chock full of hospitality, charm and comfort. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nice. But, the best part is the gourmet, made-to-order, omelets they serve for breakfast in their western style courtyard complete with covered wagons & handcrafted stone & wood furniture. Just like the Old West (well, sort of), you fill your plate with the omelette fixins and the chef makes you one of the best omelets this side of the Mississippi (not that I've ever had one east of). Paired with mason jar mimosas and conversation about the area sights with the locals, this was definitely a highlight on our tour. "Best" Western for sure!' read more

We decided to move and drove from California to Minnesota. This place was one of the 5 hotels we stayed at and although many were clean, and nice, and comfortable. This one by far was the best! That tells you a lot about this place. The whole staff was friendly and made you feel like you were staying at your favorite aunt's house. They were great hosts and definitely have the best breakfast. If we ever do that trip again we will definitely be staying here. read more
