This gem in Lusk, WY was a 5 star stay. We were greeted in the office by s friendly, helpful and vivacious woman. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The shower was large and much nicer than the shower in the Hilton and Fairfield Inn we had stayed at on this vacation. We have tended to avoid small Mom and Pop hotels but this was a winner. Breakfast was omelettes made to order at a chuck wagon. The next time we are driving west, we will rebook at the Town House Motel. read more

Townhouse motel was a really nice place to stay. I was there for a couple weeks and would've probably stayed longer if I could've gotten my dogs out into the dog run. There's a little fenced area that has some nice grass and a little dog hut for shade. The only problem was that the proprietors dog was out there from morning till night. She's a cute little dog, very friendly, however my dogs are puppies on their way to becoming large dogs, therefore, they are large puppies. They play really hard together and I was worried about the other dog getting caught underneath or in between the two of my girls when they were playing. I just thought that the proprietor would have taken her dog in for a little bit, at least an hour or so, so my dogs could've gotten out and played as well and seeing as I was a paying customer who was on track to stay 3 months. The proprietor was very nice, very polite and I never did ask her if she could bring her dog inside so that mine could play for a little bit. Maybe I should have but I didn't want to sound like a snobby person, as if my dogs were special or something, (they are to me but then they are my girls) I just thought that she would have done it without me needing to ask because she saw me every day walk the girls over to the fenced area and then turn around and go back the other direction because they couldn't get in there. I don't know... I guess the fact that I would've done it for somebody else does not mean that somebody else would do it for me. Maybe I was hoping for too much in that I wanted my babies to be out in the sun as well, like hers was every day, all day, no attention... Sometimes even out there all night long, I kind of felt sorry for the little girl actually because no one ever said hi to her, no one ever interacted with her, she was just put out there and kind of forgotten. I would stop and pet her when my girls and I were over by the fence but then I would have to turn around and take my girls the other direction because they couldn't very well just stand outside the fence in the parking lot there... I have no complaints whatsoever about this property. My only dissatisfaction was the fact that my dogs couldn't get out and play for at least an hour a day and they were locked in the motel room most of the time with the exception of when I would take them out on walks which were about a mile every time and probably three times a day. I work nights so I sleep on and off during the day, I get up at least three times and take them on their long walks and I just felt bad that my girls couldn't get out and play in the Sun while I was taking a short nap. We ended up moving into a small one bedroom, short term rental because I will be in this area working for three months. When I checked out, I stripped down all the beds, laid out the sheets so they were easily counted, laid out the towels so that they could easily be accounted for as well, I cleaned everything... Including mopping the floor... Before I checked out. Anyway if you don't have pets I highly suggest that you stay at the townhouse motel, you will be glad that you did. If you have rambunctious dogs that like to play hard... I would find somewhere else to stay however if you have an older and calmer dog, again I would highly suggest the townhouse motel. We were in Lusk for a HS basketball tournament. Lusk is super tiny. Just to give you an idea, there are no chain grocery stores, convenient stores or restaurants, with the exception of Subway. We had planned to drive home after the game and then drive back the next day for another game; however, the three hour drive home was not appealing at 8 pm. We called around to the few different motels and most were almost full, with only smoking rooms with full beds only left. Yuck. Since all were older looking and very small, we couldn't see paying an arm and a leg for a room. Some wanted between $100-130... for the smoking room with a full bed. Yea....nope. When we called Town House, the woman who answered was very kind and gave us a rate of $57 for a queen bed, non-smoking. I was a little worried, but when we pulled up, it actually looked like one of the nicer places to stay in town. We checked in and she was just as nice in person with the cutest baby in tow. Our room was clean and cozy. Nothing fancy. Old school TV, but decent sized. It even had a mini fridge and a microwave, which was super handy since there was no fast food places open late. The bathroom was clean and the shower was decent sized with good pressure. If we are ever in Lusk again, we would stay here again. Highly recommend! read more

What a great little gem in the sleepy town of Lusk. I visited a variety of other motels in town and decided to stay here. The owner Amy and her staff are absolutely wonderful and the rates simply cannot be beat. They have a very nicely stocked continental breakfast with a vast assortment of goodies and coffee/tea selections to start your day out right. The property is very quaint and has a very homey feel, with balconies to hang out on and a fenced children's play area, as well as a couple of communal grills for cooking out. My room had a king bed and was quite spacious with all the typical amenities of cable, refrigerator, free WiFi, etc. Honorable mention is deserved for the extra comfortable bed and pillows. Unfortunately for me, I was stranded due to losing my truck key and had to wait a couple of days for a duplicate to be mailed. During my stay, the staff really went out of their way to assist in any way possible, including Amy recruiting her lovely Mom to give me a ride. In summation, this is THE place to stay in town. Wether you are in town for a night or extended stay, you will find this a very accommodating, enjoyable place with excellent customer service! read more

This probably is your best bet of staying somewhere cheap. It is 52$ plus tax. The next was like 89$. The lady here who owns it is very nice, and has a cute puppy that will come say hi. Rooms aren't huge, but you can fit all your luggage inside and still walk around. Has mini frige, TV, and microwave inside the room. And the bathrooms are easy to walk in. Plus they have heaters in the room, and free wifi. You can park right outside your door, so we were glad to stay here. read more

We were very pleased with the comfortable beds, cleanliness, the dog run, and the pet friendly rooms they offer and the full breakfast. We had stayed in two other chain rooms. One the bed was so hard we were so sore the next day. The other lacked cleanliness and long over due for up-dates. Shannon is a pleasure to deal with. The weather kept our schedule tentative, and Shannon had no trouble with flexibility, again not like the two chains. read more

We finally got lucky! We've been gouged by innkeepers the last five nights on this road trip, and now we happened upon this place whose motto is Just as Nice At a better price. And it's true! My guess is that this place is nicer than the handful of others in town, actually. The clerk, Susan, was friendly and helpful. The room itself is clean, spacious and comfortable. And we checked the prices with two other establishments in town. The Town House is about half the price of the others where we were quoted $130. Both were national" budget" chains. read more

Their rates cannot be beat in Lusk. Their rooms may not be super fancy, but they were very tidy and the bathroom was very, very clean. Wifi, cable, mini-fridge, microwave, shared grills outside, and continental breakfast. I also love that it's an old-fashioned park in front of your room kind of place. And kind staff to boot! Though the room is relatively small, it is perfect for an overnight stay. The staff is very polite (the woman at the desk was the only one we spoke to, but she was the sweetest lady!) The room itself has a fridge, microwave, TV, and the other basic things you'll find in a motel room. The decorations aren't luxurious but it is super nice nonetheless. Our room had a large shower and tub in it, which really hit the spot after our most terrifying winter drive. And not to mention, it was the cheapest hotel in the area.
