I ate in the restaurant for lunch with a colleague. I ordered a hamburger upon the recommendation of the server. She stated "medium" and I said no, "Medium rare please." The hamburger was "medium" and flavorless. The hamburger was 19 dollars. I ordered a Long Island ice tea that I paid no attention to the price. The drink was in a thin glass, full of ice and had but a small amount of liquid; which didn't taste like alcohol. I complained and the server told me, "It's Bozangeles prices." I booked a 2 night stay here during the week of April 19-25, 2026. I booked through a third party Super.com on the Kayak app. NEVER AGAIN!!!!I will never stay at any Best Western nor will I ever book with Super.com. Let's start with the hotel/motel. I was woken up at 8 am because of remodeling going on. Here is a suggestion, DON'T PUT YOUR GUEST IN PARTS OF THE HOTEL THAT WILL DISRUP THEIR REST! I have pictures and will post along with this review. I was not aware of repairs until I checked. Then was told I could switch rooms with my 5 suitcases. I paid $138.00 per night therefore I expected better. The shower continuously kept cutting off which she said they are aware of because of the remodeling so I'm in the shower with soap everywhere waiting for the water to cut back on. Then the toilet barely flush and took some time for the water to refill in toilet so I could flush again because the tissue didn't go down and all I did was pee. The sink is clogged so it took so time for the water to go down after brushing my teeth. The heater in the room didn't warm the room up at night. i had to use the washer and I only a pair of leggings, a sweatshirt, a shirt, sports bar and a pair of house shoes and the washer kept saying unbalanced so i had to stand there during the whole wash cycle because it kept unbalancing and therefore stopped the clothes from washing. I'm telling you now, do not book here. Please read reviews and book somewhere else. I don't even understand why they would start remodeling right before tourists season. I have been a regular visitor to the restaurant for six years. Yesterday I was sitting in a tv area of the hotel to catch the score of a game due to the fact the Montana State game was on all televisions at the restaurant and bar. I was told by the hotel manager that i "couldn't loiter" at the hotel area and that I "didn't belong." This apparently is the way they treat guests from the restaurant. Ok.... didn't stay there, but went to the bar/restaurant area to watch the football games on Sunday. There were 4 of us and there must have been 8 big screen TVs perfectly situated throughout the room. The wait staff was very friendly and the drinks and food were excellent. Huge hotel. Indoor swimming pool and ballroom. My room's window displays that part of the building. Screeching children. Room is older, has a faint whiff of smoke. Hotel has a restaurant! Nice. Serves meals until 9:30 PM. Bar food after that until after midnight. Nice to have that available. (Their chicken/walnut/romaine/feta/cranberry dinner salad is excellent.) They also serve breakfast. NO complimentary breakfast here ..... NEXT MORNING: room was quiet overnight. ISSUE: hotel could use some education on handicapped persons. I was checked into a room that was about as far away from the elevators as could be, on the second floor. Long excursion through a u-shaped hallway. Why? Also, while leaving room to check out, there was one area, near the last leg of the "u", that had a small ramp to one side -- for wheelchairs, rollators, etc. Cleaning staff had their cart parked squarely in front of the ramp. Not helpful when you're checking out with a rollator loaded with suitcases, sundries and schlepping a larger suitcase. Not sure why this is so difficult. read more

Look, this isn't a 5 star hotel, but they had free airport shuttle at 1 AM and happily took us back in the AM to pick up our rental car. The rooms were clean and the staff were very nice and accommodating. We just stayed for one night as a stop on our way to Driggs Idaho and I wouldn't hesitate booking it again. There is a nice bar and restaurant attached, and a Costco and Walmart just up the road if you need to stock up for your trip. Don't be a jerk and tip your shuttle driver. I'm not big on tipping culture as it exists now, but these folks deserve it. If I could think of one negative....it's the toilet paper. It's literally the worst, most abrasive TP on earth...LOL. read more

Emma and her team at The Best Western here in Bozeman went above and beyond to make sure my stay here was phenomenal. When asked if I could move rooms away from the stairway entrance due to unavoidable noise of people coming and going (which is understandable as it's a hotel) they accommodated me to a room which faced the courtyard. The peace and quiet was absolutely what I needed for my stay here. Truly a quiet atmosphere and calming room. The pool and jacuzzi are stellar, the gym is clean and had all the things I needed. My son and I stayed here for two nights. Our room was very clean. All was quiet and it was a very comfortable stay. Check in was a breeze. John, at the front desk, was super helpful and friendly. He went above and beyond to help me. We had a rental car and inquired about returning it the night before we left and saving a day of rental fees. The hotel very graciously came and picked us up from the airport after we dropped off the car. The shuttle to the airport ran right at the time they said it would so we got there in plenty of time to get on our flight. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area. It was an easy way to go to Yellowstone and have an amazing adventure with my favorite boy. read more

Who knew? This is not your normal Best Western! Besides having a 'for real' conference center, thy have an honest to goodness restaurant where locals have been hanging out for years. On top of that they have an itty bitty casino, with real winners. The most amazing thing are the people who work there. They treat you like you matter and they are happy to have your business. We stayed a week, so we saw everything the fitness center is enough for a good work out, the business center is enough to get real work done, the pool and spa are indoor, and everything is in good repair and clean. Very professional and nice place all together. The place was easy to book and was there when we got out of the airport ready to pick us up and drive us to the hotel. The driver was nice and chatted with us. Pleasant right from the get go. The front desk and checking in was no problem. It was very fast and easy. The place was nice with the lobby. Maybe needed new couches and sitting chairs. But with the theme that they are going for it works. I took off a star because of that. The rooms were nice and comfortable. No complaints there. They have a pool and workout area. The gym is open 24/7 which is a plus for me as sometimes I cannot sleep so why not go to the gym. Also, this hotel has a bar and a little casino attached to it. There is a gas station within walking distance. Our stay here was pleasant and enjoyable. Definitely would stay here again if ever in Bozeman. read more

The front desk lady is extremely racist, I am a traveler from New York City and was denied my stay due to my card not matching name then when I get the money on my debit card with my name I was still denied. Such racism if you have melanin or have colored skin don't expect to be treated normally (how she would treat someone of a Caucasian backgrown). Even though their prices are cheap the hotel stinks, needs better management, also has snow in the parking lot that makes is difficult to exit your vehicle without slipping. Aside from the scenic mountain views and a few restaurants around the hotel. This Best Western is actually very nice. They said they've just renovated the rooms, and they are actually on point.   It all starts in the Lobby, where there you are greeted, by a really nice staff which is genuinely delighted to welcome you to their hotel. There's a seating area with couches and arm chairs, directly across is the Bar/Restaurant which is by far the most happening hotel bar/restaurant I've ever seen.   After getting our keys, we proceed to wheel our baggies down to our rooms. One LITTLE problem is the lack of elevators, which is not a big deal to me. Specially the fact that the hotel only has TWO floors. I could see how it would get a bit overwhelming if you brought your whole house with you (that's called figure of speech). Anyway, this hotel is pretty good. The rooms are clean, there's a TV is you wanna watch, the bathrooms are really clean as well, there's a closet to put your coat or jacket, there's curtains on the window, decorations on the walls and a nice comfy bed for you to lay on.   I like this hotel, and I would definitely consider staying here next ski season. After a 6-hour stressful & frustrating night of driving from S.L.C. Utah with prior hotel room reservation that was let down by staff at another hotel and a last minute booking of a room for 3/19/22 - 3/20/22 at The Best Western Plus. Erin/ Aaron (front desk lady) was immediately combative and aggressive when I walked in after booking and having confirmed once again, a last minute room through Expedia (false advertising on Expedia's part that showed and confirmed my booking for the same night). Which lead me to spending my night in a nearby parking lot with an early flight the following morning. She was very rude and unpleasant to work with. She really should be required to go through some extensive training and anger management before working a customer facing/ customer service position, especially since there really wasn't much she could do anyway, but she was more and more aggressive and unprofessional with every next sentence. Will also be calling in to Upper Management following the review. 0/10 would recommend to another person. If I could leave negative reviews, I would. We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western Plus. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and responsive to our needs. We booked a room with a recliner. Upon check-in we discovered the room did not have one however Betsy and the other hotel staff were quick to accommodate us, delivering one to the room. Pros: -Customer service focused! -Friendly/Helpful Staff -Comfortable bed -Recliners! Cons: -Minor annoyance beyond the hotels' control...congested parking lot (several buildings on this corner) made access from the street to the parking lot difficult to navigate, like a maze! I was a little worried when we drove up but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I slept great and those beds. They have a full staff working keeping everything clean unlike hotels in California right now. They have a great Hotel restaurant. It looks older in there but very comfortable and relaxing. First time in this hotel. The rooms were a decent size and clean. Staff was friendly. They only have two floors and NO ELEVATOR, it would not be as bad if you only have a small carry-on or a big guy to help with your bags. The hotel restaurant was clean, and their staff was also friendly. I had the "huevos rancheros" ( a mexican always a mexican) and was pleasantly surprised. The chorizo was not the real deal, but it was a good imitation. The eggs were nestled inside a corn tortilla filled with refried beans and hash browns, and finished with an authentic "queso fresco". Other choices for food include the Arby's in the parking lot, an Applebee's a couple of miles away and a super Walmart accross the street. Check-in went quickly and ran smoothly. The person who checked me in also let me know the best place for me to park, and the best door for me to go in to be as close to my room as possible, which was helpful. The hotel is located in a great spot, and there are amazing mountain views right there in the parking lot. It's also very close to the airport which was perfect for me since I got in super late. The room itself was very nice and included a large bed, couch, coffee table, desk, and television in addition to the bathroom and an extra sink. The bed was comfortable and I slept pretty well aside from the fact that the AC was so loud when it turned on it woke me up at least once a night. Unfortunately, the hotel was under construction (and a lot of that was being done at night) so there were a few instances in which I had to use ear plugs in order to sleep, which I was fine with - it just wasn't exactly what I was expecting. They could also step up their game when it comes to the gym... it's oddly located across the parking lot, upstairs, above the gas station and includes a few treadmills and some free weights (plus it's HOT up there)! I was hoping to exercise during my visit but didn't feel comfortable venturing out there at the crack of dawn in the morning alone. read more

Of all the places and options that we had in Bozeman this was so perfect for us. We didn't rent a car and this was the best option. They have a restaurant and a bar and indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Lots of places to sit and relax around the property indoors of course and warm. It has room service and the food was quite good. Our bed is so comfortable in this room I don't even want to leave it. Our room also has a refrigerator and a microwave. All the staff have been really great. Every time we come in or leave they are always saying hello and they are very welcome. There is also a coffee bar next to the restaurant and based on appearances and this is quite a local place to come eat and hang out. read more

Friendly and helpful staff, large, clean rooms. Pet friendly (which I appreciate even though my dog is wasting away at home with the husband who furnishes neverending treats for accomplishing such feats as returning from walkies). Beware: there are no elevators. Since I travel with a 40+ lb rolling office (but, hey, still get it all in carry-on), that is a deal breaker. I also have a large box full of books for the seminars that I conduct, which would have been impossible to get up the stairs. The front desk woman was kind enough to change my room to a first floor room, and send one of the setup guys to get my box. That was pretty cool. After travelling the country, I still do not understand the whole concept of having an inner atrium. I mean I kind of get it, swimming while it is snowing, but sliding glass doors opening to the inside? It's noisy and obnoxious. I'm very grateful that I got an outside room on the bottom floor this time. They swear that it's noisier, but it is so much more convenient and it actually is quieter. Seriously. Ask for an outside room. I gave this hotel four stars for its cleanliness and its exceptional customer service. But now I have to rant about something that I found at a lot of these hotels: Clean Remotes(insert little trademark thingie here). Everytime I see one of these things, I wince in anticipated pain. I know I am about to face a night of frustrating button squashing with nothing happening. I hate frantically stabbing at buttons all night long, only to have to get up and point the remote within two inches of the stupid little circle sticker on the side of the TV so the damn thing will work. Its called a remote, not a "2 inches in proximity." I did not dock the hotel stars because I do appreciate their misguided attempt to allay the fears of the overly cautious, germophobic (read: Wussy) public. Frankly, I would rather risk Ebola then have to deal with this pain in the ass remote. Still, this is a pretty decent hotel, & I would recommend it - stupid remote notwithstanding. One more complaint: No free breakfast. Given how much work you have to go through to change the dang channel, you should at least get a free bowl of oatmeal. read more

This place is decent enough but seems to attract partners and drunks. Woke up at 3 am and 5am to drunk girls screaming in the hallway who wouldn't quit even after politely asking them to quiet down. Also someone was playing loud music in the "atrium" which our room bordered, at 3am and 5am. Enough people complained that the police were called. They weren't able to do anything as the screamers and music stopped once they arrived. Woke up at 5 am same thing. Called the front desk again and all they said was they were sorry and "here we go again". Barely got any sleep at all. Bozeman is a nice town but there is a college here so stay somewhere else that's nicer and is willing to control their guests. We were going to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn but there weren't any pictures on the app we used and that's usually a bad sign. Happened to drive by it earlier this evening and it looks far nicer. If we had stayed there I am certain we would have gotten a full nights rest. Now I will be driving for 7+ hours with almost no sleep. This place sucks. NEVER NEVER STAY HERE Also check in took over 25 minutes. I have never had check take that long anywhere ever. DO KOT STAY HERE EVER. WHAT A JOKE. read more

DISCLAIMER: I am regularly put up in hotels by my company so price is not a factor in my review. This hotel just annoyed me honestly. Where most BW hotels offer you a goodie bag with water and snacks when you check in, this hotel offers you coupons for their restaurant. I find that quite annoying. The room itself is fine nothing really to write home about. However I take umbrage with the fact that the tv channel selection is pretty minimal, and they have the TV set to lock you out of using you own devices. As someone who travels constantly I always have a streaming device on me so I was shocked when I was locked out from simply changing the input on the dang TV. This is the only hotel I've ever stayed at with this problem. I was also put in a room right next to the construction going on. That was annoying. Edit: It is not 6:45 pm and the construction is still going on!!! It sounds and feels like there is someone drilling a hole in the wall behind my bed. At first I wasn't too upset about the construction but now it's getting ridiculous. read more

We stayed there Aug 2019. The facilities were nice, room was very clean and in great repair. We had to walk through a class reunion and a military convention to get from our room to the lobby, kind of awkward. However, my main issue is the entire lack of service at the front desk. Through miscommunication, one of our rooms was not canceled, and we were told we HAD to check in to the extra room and pay for it. I did ask for a compromise- break on the price, coupons, etc because there was possible miscommunications on both sides, but front desk person told me, "I did not make a mistake". So, we had an extra $209 plus tax charge. I did ask to speak to a manager, and was never contacted. I also sent a letter to the administration, and was never contacted. They apparently do not care that their customer service is poor. I will never stay there again, and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Probably the nicest of a number of places we've stayed on this trip. While we were disappointed at first at no free breakfast, we were corrected by visiting the on-site restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Excellent food and service on the patio. We didn't use the pool - it's in an attractive atrium with lots of comfortable seating gathered for several groups nearby but outside the pool and hot tub area. The room was clean and inviting. The bar was classy and we enjoyed starting our night there. We got in and took an Uber to a show downtown. All was really good and I would give another star or even five but they had us poolside which at first, seemed like a perk. After waking up in the middle of the night to a hot and stuffy room with no window, I would say that it was not advantageous for us. I was able to turn the cool air on and we got a slight reprieve but it was a fairly miserable nights' sleep in this regard. On a really cool note, however, they are pet friendly so our irritatingly licky black labs got the royal treatment. The rooms did NOT stink like pets even though the rooms are pet friendly. This is a great, centrally located hotel in Bozeman. I got in around midnight, so was tentatively leery about what would be awaiting me at the hotel upon my arrival. Well, rather than a sleepy, ornery front desk associate, I encountered a very friendly woman that quickly got me into my room and even answered a few questions about the area (despite the late arrival time). The front desk is adjacent to the hotel restaurant, which, for the record has incredibly attentive service and good, solid fare. There is a nicely decorated primary area, which served as a great, quiet spot to review some solar energy regulations. The rooms are basic, but the pillows and linens are comfortable. This is a good, reasonably priced spot for a stay in Bozeman. read more

I first went to the Grand Tree probably more than 15 years ago and it had been at least 10 years since I had last visited it or Bozeman Montana. I was in for a nice shock of remembering how cold it gets in the winter of Montana, I was also reminded how friendly most of the people are who live there. I do remember thinking the hotel was much bigger however the last time I stayed there was prior to living in San Francisco so that might have a good deal to do with it. My room was a standard hotel room, nothing fancy however nothing that stuck out in my mind except that they have yet to upgrade to flat screen tv's which didn't bother me any. The staff was friendly and helpful, the pool area seemed nice although I didn't jump in the water. The best think that stuck out to me was the newly remodeled restaurant. They really did a great job on this place, with so many large screens to watch sports and the food was so good I ate there twice during my one night of staying there! The waitstaff was very friendly and the food was good, however not the kind of good if you are on a diet good : ) I would recommend the Grand Tree to anyone who is going to visit Bozeman as it is in a good location, easy to find and has almost everything you need in a hotel. read more

Good hotel in general. I had a king suite as a free upgrade - which was nice. But I was on the second floor in an area of the hotel undergoing renovations, so there was a lot of noise from the hallway during the day. And the smell of paint all the time. My room was also right beside a stairwell with an outside doorway to the parking lot. The second night of my stay, some idiots had a smoke outside my room at 3am and were yelling loudly instead of talking normally. So I had to call the front desk and complain. The person on duty at the front desk was hesitant to do anything - which surprised me. But eventually went outside and told the guys to shut up (and they did). The room, bed, bathroom, and amenities were nice and clean. Except the bedroom closet was useless because the king bed was too big and blocked the doors. The food was good. I ate at the restaurant three times and had a catered dinner once. The pizza was surprisingly excellent. The steak was okay. The breakfast was good, but the waitress took too long to serve me my 2nd morning and I had to leave it half eaten. The price I got was good, but was because I was there with a group for part of my trip. Breakfast should be included, however. It is at some Best Westerns, but this is a Plus version and it isn't included. read more
