Best Western isn't exactly a luxury brand. Keep in mind that I'm rating based on a 3 star property expectation. They certainly beat the expectations. Parking is extremely limited on property, with maybe 10 spots, if that. There is a parking garage nearby & we were advised to park in the adjacent Green Mill Restaurant parking lot, which you also get a $10 off coupon card for, as this property doesn't have breakfast. We didn't eat there, so, no notes on it. Our room was comp upgraded & we were greeted with a thank you gift bag for status. The room was clean & in good repair. There were ample outlets & the layout worked well. Our room was quiet, the bed was comfortable & we slept soundly til morning. I'd like to see better towels and soft closing toilet lids. We loved this hotel. Quiet. Clean. Pet friendly! A LAUNDRY AREA!!! The only thing that wasn't awesome for us - and it wasn't the hotel's fault - was that our dog absolutely hated the elevators, and we were on the 8th floor. Every potty trip required going down 8 flights of stairs and back up 8 flights of stairs. Exhausting! (LOL) Definitely a great experience otherwise and we would happily stay here again. PS - if you have the chance, ask to be put in the new section of the hotel because the rooms are better than the older part of the hotel property. read more

My husband had a work conference here so I tagged along and had a great time staying with him! Really great location near a lot of great eats with ample parking options. It is a really big hotel that is connected to the convention center with the Green Mill attached so equally convenient if you don't want to go outside. When we checked in, we were informed on where or how to get to our room/parking so we went down the ramp and up the elevator back to the lobby and when to the only elevator we saw (A). Apparently we needed to go to elevator D because you can't get to all parts of the hotel! It was confusing until we asked but would've been great to have the info before wandering around with all our luggage. The rooms themselves were very clean and accommodating. Our room faced the pool but there were never any kids so it was very quiet, the only downside was the way the curtains are built... there was no covering at the top so loads of light would come in making it difficult to sleep. They also did clean our rooms every day which was strange but otherwise a relatively nice stay! read more

I was in town and I needed to train someone for work so I stayed here for two days at this location. I will say if I was basing this review on the customer service I would have gave it ten stars. However there was a white substance on my chair, their were pubic hairs around the toilet, and the door was falling apart. The couch in the lobby looked like it was purchased at a garage sale. I was super excited to stay here since everyone I spoke to was super kind, helpful, thoughtful and considerate. I do not think I can ever stay here again, especially how my room was not cleaned. Stayed two nights here recently and honestly didn't expect a whole lot going in. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was a little on the narrow side, but it is not a new building so there's not a whole lot to do about that. You have the usual issues you have with a building of advanced age (slow elevator, narrow passageways) but nothing terrible. Bed was good too. They have a large indoor pool area that I wasn't able to make use of. Connects with the St. Cloud Convention to the north and a Green Mill immediately to the south, and there are other restaurants in close proximity so you don't NEED to go far. I'm not hard to please when it comes to hotel. If its clean, safe, has quality soap/shampoo on hand and is up to date facility-wise I'm good. They pass. Air conditioner was a little on the loud side, but that seems to be par for the course with hotels. Not a big deal. read more

This hotel is good for those who want to stay close to town. He last time I stayed here was for a friend's bachelorette party. The rooms are ok. Nothing special. The fact ids in an event center with attached restaurant can be a pro or con depending on the person. I personally don't like all the hustle and bustle going on when I'm trying to have a nice enjoyable stay. The pool area is very much for families. My wife and I were here for my brother's wedding and we got the room by the pool for $65 that included a pizza at the adjacent Green Mill. It was a cool deal. The rooms were nice and OK size but they had 2 full sized beds so we decided to have a bed to ourselves. The pool was nice and the banquet room that the wedding reception was nice. We ate at Green Mill twice while we were there and the pizzas were really good and the service was great. This is a nice place to stay. Rooms are a little small but I figure I only sleep there! This is one of those places that puts the tub/shower and the toilet in a small room with the sink outside near the door. Has HBO which is a plus and the king room comes with a cozy chair. Plenty of outlets at the base of the lamps which is handy for cellphone charging and CPAP machines. The front desk is very fast and friendly. But they can not figure out the e-mail receipt system! The place has its own ramp and surface lots. This place has lots of conferences and the surface lot fills up FAST!! A Green Mill is connected and so is the St. Cloud conference center. Those benefits close the deal for most people especially in the winter! The place has a pool and is connected to the river walk. Very close to downtown restaurants. read more

Our room smelled like cigarettes even though it's no smoking, the bar sink dripped, the fabric under the couch was ripped and laying in the floor, the tv had 2 lines through the screen, the ceiling tiles were discolored and kinda gross, the furniture in the room is very old and worn out, the housekeeping staff seemed irritated by us walking past them in the halls, the grout is cracked bad in the bathroom, there was a light that kept flickering on and off, the fridge was missing the part that holds cans in the door, there's a vehicle in the parking lot that has tabs that expired in 2021 that's been blocked in by snow. bed was okay. but that's about it. It's very outdated and kinda smelly. very understaffed, no staff checking security, lots of doors unlocked and unmonitored. read more

Overall this place is significantly better than a Motel 6, which is where my friend Kolina and I have been staying all across our San Diego to Connecticut drive. They're cheap and all we care about is a place to sleep at night. Tonight was special. I forgot what it was like to walk into a hotel room and not rip off the bed spread. Don't smell the musk of some weird cleaning agent left behind. I forgot what it was like to have the option to use the pool or the gym. My family and I recently had a wonderful experience at the Best Western Plus Kelly Inn. The staff was amazing! Everyone so graciously went out of their way to provide us with the best service possible. The names I can remember are Rachel, Dave, and Morgan. The rooms were clean, plenty of towels, plenty of space, and the convenience of having a restaurant attached was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and plan to stay here during all of our future trips to St Cloud. read more

The noise level is unreasonable. I'm told by David at the front desk that events are authorized to be noisy past midnight. They're booked so can't swap rooms. There's "no manager on duty" so no one can issue me a refund if I check out. He laughed at me. He wouldn't even apologize or offer a meal voucher. Nothing. This hotel, near the convention center, reminds me of a 25-30yr old hotel that has been updated with some paint and accents of a new hotel. The room is of good size but the bathroom is small. Sadly, cigarette smoke lingers from years past. It is conveniently located for walking to some good downtown restaurants. Poor customer service is the only consistent thing going on here. Making or cancelling a reservation usually takes 2-3 tries due to phones ringing for minutes at a time or, if you do get someone to pick up, they can't talk to you because they are 'helping' a guest. There are many other options in St. Cloud. I would highly recommend using one of them and avoiding this property. read more

Clean room/lobby/elevator etc. The bathroom was a smaller bathroom but bigger than some I have seen. Clean bathroom. Hotel had many updates throughout. Pool area was nice/clean. Guest room overlooked the river. Couldn't hear any noise coming from the outside of the room. No breakfast included but you can get 10% off any meals at the attached Green Mill restaurant as a hotel guest. Parking lot small for the size of hotel/amount of rooms. The staff was great!! I reserved a 4 bed queen suite here when throwing a bachelor party for a friend. It cost me about $320 for one Saturday night. The room was very nice, split level, and clean. They did mention when the reservation was made that there was only one bathroom in this room, which could have been interesting, but we spent very little time in the hotel. The room itself was kind of hidden, and quite a journey of hotel hallways and stairs to get to, but also somewhat secluded. I could not find parking with short access to the room. Wireless Internet did not work. Having your room key got you a 10% discount at the attached Green Mill Restaurant, but they didn't mention that this Green Mill actually had breakfast. They don't offer a complimentary breakfast in the hotel due to the attached Green Mill. The location was great for us, as we spent the night walking around downtown. All in all, not a bad stay. read more

Our experience at this hotel was something out of a horror movie. Upon our return from dinner to our room where we had checked in earlier, we were disgusted to find that our room was infested with bugs, which had gotten on to many of our belongings. We then had to move to a different room after 11pm. Our new room was much smaller, and the entire bedspread and comforter was covered in hair that was not ours. The experience as a whole was absolutely traumatizing and was a huge inconvenience to our family as we needed to be up early the following morning. Will not be returning anytime soon. However, I would highly recommend sending people that you don't like to spend the night here. read more
