This hotel works well if you are flying in and out of the Bromma Airport. And it also works decently for short stays in general. The location next door to the stylish Bromma Blocks Mall means that there are several amenities at one's disposal for a one- or two-day stay. The proximity to public transportation is so-so as it's a ten-minute walk to the nearest tram stop. However, there are other shopping and eating options just one tram stop (or another ten-minute walk) away.
As far as the facility itself, the façade is relatively utilitarian. The interior layout and decor are fairly nice, however. We were checked in by a pleasant woman who was efficient with her work. She assigned us a room on the 4th level. In general, I would say that the staff was easy enough to deal with throughout our stay.
Our room was clean and spacious and the amenities were in order. The large screen TV presented a reasonable array of programming selections. The bathroom was adequately roomy allowing good maneuverability, despite the raised floorboard, which created a trip hazard when entering. The environs were very quiet allowing us to relax while there and to get good sleep. The airport noise was negligible even though our room was facing that diection.
The restaurant on-site, Bistro 46, was pretty good. The morning breakfast buffet was more than adequate. I had dinner there one night as well and found the food and service to be of decent quality.
The room rate was not out of line for the area (the Stockholm area is a bit out of line with respect to hotel costs in my opinion, but that is a different discussion). A double (my wife was with me the first night) was 1206 SEK while a single was 912 SEK. This was about $150 and $115 USD, respectively.
If I were in a situation again where I needed a hotel in the Stockholm area outside of city center, I would consider this establishment. The location and rates are favorable and it offers an opportunity for a pleasant stay. As a Best Western Diamond member, the ability to collect points is also a plus. read more
