2 Queen Beds and pet friendly room
    Lauren S.

This was a decent hotel and we enjoyed our experience even more when we were able to have some drinks at their lounge! I did review everything about this hotel prior to booking here and it looked like it fit our standards. The lounge was listed as closing at midnight, which was around the time we were going to arrive. As I walked in a little after midnight, I noticed customers still drinking in the lounge so I was excited! I went to check in first and I was greeted by the woman with a smile. She was faIrly new but had excellent customer service skills and was very personable. After checking in, I met hubs back outside and we drove to the area where our room was. It was kind of chilly out and our room was too warm so I turned the air conditioning as low as it would get. We set up the dog and went to kick back some drinks at the lounge. We went back to the room a couple hours later and the room was not much cooler unfortunately. It was okay but still felt stuffy. We settled and went to bed anyway. We slept most of the night but I was not comfortable with the temperature. I woke up at 9am to get to breakfast by 9:30am when it was over. I arrived at 9:25 and the doors were already locked. Great. Since the room was still stuffy, I left the front door to the room open while we packed and prepared to get back on the road. Overall, besides the temperature and short/inaccurate breakfast hours, I would definitely stay here again. It was probably the most silent place I have stayed at too.

Angle iron hidden by the green bed skirt.

The bed was held up with angle iron in two places that stuck out but were hidden by the bed skirt. When walking by the bed my husband struck one with his ankle and ended up with a cut that he had to go to the front desk and get bandages for.

    Literal fire/ shock hazard.

Whoever did this electrical work should be ashamed of themselves. Literal fire hazard/shock hazard. Im sure housekeeping sees it daily, but they say nothing. Pay a little more and go somewhere you won't be in danger.

I've been coming here for 8-9 years now but this motel is keep sliding down. I've asked for a renovated room and got one without a table and chair, dirty carpet, the sink didn't drain, sofa ripped and carpet was ripped. Staff was kind.

Room 108, the room had a odor smelled like cleaning products you noticed as you walked through the door. The a.c. unit is quiet. Sink and bathroom is clean. Outlets on the lamps to charge and plug your electronics. Refigerator and microwave are clean. Both Beds are squeaky. Overall it's a good place to stay.

This smoke alarm was covered with a bag in our room upon our arrival.

We arrived shortly after midnight after a very long day of traveling, hoping for nothing more than a place to sleep. Instead, from the moment we walked through the doors, the front desk associate, Lanice, made it abundantly clear that she did not want to deal with us. There wasn't a smile, a welcome, or even the slightest attempt to make us feel like valued guests. Every interaction felt cold, dismissive, and simply rude. She repeatedly rolled her eyes, answered questions with a condescending tone, and acted as though every question we asked was an annoyance. I kindly explained that I wanted to use my Chase Travel points for the stay, but because it was already after midnight, I couldn't complete the reservation through the Chase Travel portal. I simply asked if there was any way around that or if Hilton could help. Instead of offering any explanation or trying to assist, I was immediately told there was no way to do it and quoted $199 for the room. No explanation. No alternatives. No attempt to help. My husband, who is an Army amputee, then politely asked if the hotel offered a military discount. Before he could even finish his question, Lanice responded, "Military has nothing to do with it." She assumed we were referring to Hilton Honors when we were simply asking if the hotel offered a military rate. A simple, courteous answer would have sufficed, but instead we were met with another cold, condescending response. Since we didn't arrive until after midnight, I also asked if there was any flexibility with checkout. The first question was, "Are you Gold or Diamond?" When I said no, she immediately replied that there would be no late checkout and that housekeeping would be knocking on our door at 11:30. Again, the answer wasn't the problem. The attitude was. While we were still checking in, another gentleman walked up behind us. He was incredibly polite, patient, and respectful, yet he was met with the exact same eye rolls, dismissive responses, and uninterested attitude we had experienced. Watching someone else receive the same treatment confirmed that this wasn't just an isolated interaction with us. Maybe she was having a "bad day". We all have them. She also had no idea what kind of day my family had experienced before walking through those doors, yet we still chose to treat her with kindness and respect. Having a bad day is never a license to treat other people with disrespect. A little kindness and basic courtesy can make all the difference. This is what continues to push us away from Hilton. The rooms can be updated, the beds can be comfortable, and the lobby can look beautiful, but none of that matters if the people representing your brand make guests feel like an inconvenience the moment they walk through the door. To make matters worse, we didn't get to sleep until after 1:00 a.m. After finally falling asleep, our room phone rang at 8:30 a.m., waking us up. Then it rang again at 10:30 a.m. We never requested wake-up calls, and no one could explain why they happened. Being awakened twice after such a late check-in was an unnecessary interruption that only added to an already disappointing stay. Hospitality isn't about saying yes to every request. It's about treating people with respect, showing a little compassion, and making guests feel welcome, even when the answer is no. The room itself was decent, but it certainly wasn't thoroughly cleaned. It was acceptable for one night, but it lacked the attention to detail I expected. For nearly $200 a night, I expected a much higher standard across the board. That means a cleaner room, better customer service, and employees who understand that people choose Hilton because they expect a certain level of hospitality. This Hampton Inn fell well short of that standard and served as yet another reminder of why Hilton continues to lose our loyalty.
