I am disppointed to see the below reviews slamming this hotel because there aren't restaurants and stuff nearby. That has nothing to do with the hotel....know what you are getting into before you book a place. Location is great, right off the expressway. This hotel was clean and updated, with all of the needed amenities. Check in and check out was fast. The staff was friendly. We took the recommendation to go to Harolds Country Club for dinner...only a five min drive away. We appreciated they helped us out with the recommendation. We had a suite which was larger than other suites I have had at Hamptons. The morning breakfast was the typical Hampton items. The sweet woman attending to the area made sure to talk with all of the guests.

6-2-2017 Don't waste your time stopping here! Brand new hotel, not a damn thing to be happy about! We checked into this hotel on Wednesday for three nights. We came down here for my sons graduation from Paris island. This location is HORRIBLE. There are ZERO restaurants around here. Fast food yes... mcdonalds, Wendy's, Waffle House and dennys. That's it. It is a 40 minute drive from here to Paris Island. This Hampton has a beautiful pool, but it's closed. Why? Who knows.. our entire stay was uneventful, there's nothing to do in this area at all. You couldn't even sit by the pool in the sun. So when we returned to the hotel after lunch each day, in the room you go. It's at least 30 miles in any direction to a walmart or actual dining restaurant. Signs all over the hotel saying "Forgot something? We've got it" no they don't. I forgot a tooth brush and I was told to walk to the gas station. Bottom line, there's multiple other hotels we could have went to, but we wanted to stay at a Hampton for the amenities you normally receive at a Hampton. Save yourself the hassle, keep on passing this place. If your looking for a hotel for military graduation, THIS IS NOT IDEAL. Find another hotel closer. And before you book a room, apparently we need to ask if the hotel pool is working next time. Disgusted.

Hotel is new. Clean. Breakfast was great. Front desk was helpful. Not sure why the bad reviews. Beds were comfortable.

This stay reminded us exactly why Hilton continues to lose our loyalty. Time and time again, it's…read morenot the buildings that disappoint us. It's the people representing the brand. We arrived shortly after midnight after a very long day of traveling, hoping for nothing more than a place to sleep. Instead, from the moment we walked through the doors, the front desk associate, Lanice, made it abundantly clear that she did not want to deal with us. There wasn't a smile, a welcome, or even the slightest attempt to make us feel like valued guests. Every interaction felt cold, dismissive, and simply rude. She repeatedly rolled her eyes, answered questions with a condescending tone, and acted as though every question we asked was an annoyance. I kindly explained that I wanted to use my Chase Travel points for the stay, but because it was already after midnight, I couldn't complete the reservation through the Chase Travel portal. I simply asked if there was any way around that or if Hilton could help. Instead of offering any explanation or trying to assist, I was immediately told there was no way to do it and quoted $199 for the room. No explanation. No alternatives. No attempt to help. My husband, who is an Army amputee, then politely asked if the hotel offered a military discount. Before he could even finish his question, Lanice responded, "Military has nothing to do with it." She assumed we were referring to Hilton Honors when we were simply asking if the hotel offered a military rate. A simple, courteous answer would have sufficed, but instead we were met with another cold, condescending response. Since we didn't arrive until after midnight, I also asked if there was any flexibility with checkout. The first question was, "Are you Gold or Diamond?" When I said no, she immediately replied that there would be no late checkout and that housekeeping would be knocking on our door at 11:30. Again, the answer wasn't the problem. The attitude was. While we were still checking in, another gentleman walked up behind us. He was incredibly polite, patient, and respectful, yet he was met with the exact same eye rolls, dismissive responses, and uninterested attitude we had experienced. Watching someone else receive the same treatment confirmed that this wasn't just an isolated interaction with us. Maybe she was having a "bad day". We all have them. She also had no idea what kind of day my family had experienced before walking through those doors, yet we still chose to treat her with kindness and respect. Having a bad day is never a license to treat other people with disrespect. A little kindness and basic courtesy can make all the difference. This is what continues to push us away from Hilton. The rooms can be updated, the beds can be comfortable, and the lobby can look beautiful, but none of that matters if the people representing your brand make guests feel like an inconvenience the moment they walk through the door. To make matters worse, we didn't get to sleep until after 1:00 a.m. After finally falling asleep, our room phone rang at 8:30 a.m., waking us up. Then it rang again at 10:30 a.m. We never requested wake-up calls, and no one could explain why they happened. Being awakened twice after such a late check-in was an unnecessary interruption that only added to an already disappointing stay. Hospitality isn't about saying yes to every request. It's about treating people with respect, showing a little compassion, and making guests feel welcome, even when the answer is no. The room itself was decent, but it certainly wasn't thoroughly cleaned. It was acceptable for one night, but it lacked the attention to detail I expected. For nearly $200 a night, I expected a much higher standard across the board. That means a cleaner room, better customer service, and employees who understand that people choose Hilton because they expect a certain level of hospitality. This Hampton Inn fell well short of that standard and served as yet another reminder of why Hilton continues to lose our loyalty.
