We used our Bonvoy points for our spacious room (photos) and everything was included except breakfast. But for €28, you could eat like royalty in their dinning room (photos). They are in the process of updating their rooms and even though things felt somewhat dated, ours came with a huge soaker tub. Btw, the balcony view of the 8th Arr from our room wasn't bad. The Lourve was app. 15 min walk from the hotel. A few upgrades in the room would be recommended: coffee machine (vs calling for coffee or going down to the lobby), mini fridge that's not stocked so we can put our drinks, ice machine (although we would always get our ice on the double whenever we asked for it - kiddos!). I also think newer and updated furniture would also go a long way. We bought the room with the Eiffel Tower and we were lucky to be upgraded to the suite which was amazing! That rate has since climbed to 75,000 points, and I don't think any of us are likely to go back for all that. This was a free stay for me and my crew, so let me start by saying the hotel was generally very nice. The location was excellent, central and close to transit, and the common areas were opulent and attractive. Everyone I interacted with on staff was polite and helpful, and housekeeping did good work. I also appreciated the complimentary wine and chocolates left in our room, and the breakfast and dinner at the lobby restaurant. My brothers and I had rooms on the 4th floor, while my parents were in a suite on the 6th. My room had a king bed and room for a rollaway, which my kids took turns sleeping in when they weren't just piling onto our bed. The rooms were comfortable and upscale, if more in line with 45,000 points than 75,000. No wow factor, and some things felt weird and old. The outlet situation wasn't great. There were no adaptors, and there were a couple USB ports, but they were for smartphone cables from like five years ago. The lighting was also nuts. We wanted to turn off most of the lights when our kids went to bed, but keep one on so we could hang out in the room. There was legit no way to do this, and we sat in the dark rather than have spotlights keeping our kids awake. These are minor complaints, which I might have ignored if not for my big complaint: the planned power outage on the last night of our stay. We were not notified of this outage in advance of our trip, and only learned about it through a printed letter left in our room. The power outage was scheduled for between midnight and 4:30 in the morning, an we found out about it when we returned to the hotel after midnight and learned the elevators weren't running. We walked up the stairs and spent the night in an overheated room with no electricity in the middle of July. It was really unpleasant. When we woke up, we learned the electricity was still partially out, and neither of our phones had charged. My husband's phone was dead, and he went downstairs to get it charged and complain to the front desk. He told them that the hotel shouldn't have been open for business, and they offered to refund my mom 45,000 points, the cost of our room for that night. This was a good start, but only accounted for one of our four rooms. When we compared notes with my mom, we also learned that a hotel employee had opened the door to our room that night while she was in there watching our sleeping children. He didn't announce himself until she asked who he was and chased him out, and when she inquired with management about what happened, they told her we'd requested help with a safe. This wasn't true, but they acted like it was, and were generally dismissive and unapologetic. My mom ended up emailing management about all of the above, and they were, overall, dismissive and unapologetic. At some point, they did quietly give her the 45,000 points promised to my husband, but there was no other acknowledgment that she had been inconvenienced. As my husband pointed out, the hotel wasn't fit to be occupied that night, and there must have been a meeting to discuss whether or not to close for business. Management must have decided that would be too expensive, and that the letter would be sufficient. Look, I'm not a difficult customer, and I certainly don't go around complaining about fancy hotels. But our Park Hyatt experience was a solid B. I wouldn't recommend it, especially not at the new rate.

We walked to the hotel and tried to check in, only to learn that the Park Hyatt would not accommodate us unless we upgraded to a much larger, much more expensive room (we'd neglected to mention the two children in our party when we booked). After much back-and-forth, my mom booked us a room at the Hyatt Madeleine, a more reasonable hotel that still gave us the benefits of her Hyatt status. It was supposedly a short walk from the Hyatt, but we spent a good twenty minutes schlepping across Paris with the children and luggage. (Very grateful to my saintly friend Ava B., who offered key support as a third adult in this unruly party.) Which is all to say, I loved this hotel the minute we walked in, reaching our destination an hour and a half after arriving in Paris. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and we were welcomed with glasses of champagne, which we quite appreciated. There was a half-bottle of red wine waiting in our room, too, which we were happy to drink while packing to leave the next night. Our stay was brief, and we spent most of our precious time in Paris out and about. The hotel was an excellent home base, though, centrally located and very comfortable. It was less fancy than the Park Hyatt, of course, but the lobby was attractive and our room was spacious and clean. It had a king bed and a sofa bed, where my three-year-old refused to sleep, instead jumping around and harassing me and once, picking up the clean underwear I'd set out for the morning and putting it on over his pants. Breakfast was included with our stay, and we took advantage of this by going down to Café M and feeding my children chocolate croissants before leaving the premises each morning. They also got room service one night while my friend and I went out for a grown-up dinner at Brasserie Pastis, an outstanding nearby restaurant recommended by the concierge. I'm sure the Park Hyatt would've been nice, but I was impressed by the Hyatt Madeleine, both the accommodations and the hospitable service. I'll bet it was a better fit for our group, too, what with the wild three-year-old. A great place to stay during an active trip to Paris.

Despite that the hotel was still able to give me a really good upgrade to a premium king room from my standard queen room. They were able to allow me early check-in and my room had some great wine and cake to welcome my stay and birthday. I just appreciate how much thought and effort they put to make my stay memorable. My family was able to enjoy breakfast every morning and it was delicious. I still think about their delicious, soft scrambled eggs and fresh apple juice. The location was nice and peaceful. The beds were super comfortable. They were able to accommodate my late checkout, which was great because we had a later train departure. The staff during breakfast were offering me some bags to take out pastries for our journey, which was so nice. I would not hesitate to return to this location when traveling back to Paris.

Only a few blocks away from the Champs de Elysee in one direction, and then a quick 2 minute walk down the street in the other direction to find cozy cafes with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. I have been to 72 countries and stayed at a number of higher end hotels but I found the Prince de Galles to be truly exceptional. I've never experienced such a thorough check-in process, which included describing amenities, the property, welcoming me and acknowledging my status, and then actually taking us up the elevator and to our room to ensure we were happy with the room - This was OUTSTANDING service!!! The concierge staff is friendly and was very helpful during our stay, providing great suggestions for food and handling other questions we had, such as how to best handle the train we needed to take, etc. The location of this hotel is perfectly walkable and is an equal distance to the Eiffel Tower or the L'arc de Triomphe. It's a block from the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. We only needed to use Uber to get to an area a few miles away, but otherwise, we walked everywhere. The room was very comfortable, perfectly adorned and nicely embellished with great attention to detail... including the mosaic tile in the bathroom! Everything was clean and spotless and stayed that way throughout our stay with housekeeping taking care of it daily and offering turndown service. I was going to land in Paris several hours after her, so I called the hotel to see if they could let her into the room before I got there. The staff told me that normally they require the person booking the room to be there in person with their credit card. However, they were able to generate a link where I was able to pay for the entire stay + safety deposit ahead of time. I gladly did so, and they were happy to let my girlfriend into the room a good 6 hours before I got there. Once I pulled up to the hotel, I checked in at the front desk. The attendant helped me with my bag, and the front desk worker showed me to my room. My girlfriend had already enjoyed the bath tub and some drinks. We had some hours to relax, before we headed out to dinner and to sight see. While the restaurant that we reserved (outside the hotel) let us down, the restaurant in house (The Lobby) took care of us well. The hotel surprised us by driving us to the Eiffel Tower in their Rolls Royce, a complementary service. We took some great photos around the tower, and in other locations, before being driver back to the hotel. The room was very nice, had a comfy bed, plenty of space, a nice bathtub, and a clean and modern look. There was a small balcony area with two seats and a small table overlooking the beautiful architecture of the surrounding buildings. The only downside is that the A/C was not up to par, but that is the only complaint I have about this place. The hotel staff went above and beyond for us. The experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel, if you're looking for a great time!
