We don't stay in hotels much these days. The mapping smarts of Phone sent us down a long sub-valley of the Southern Wasatch Range. We went from famously tidy Utah small towns to a bit worn Utah small towns to farmland with 5th wheel trailers to Great Basin Desertin the dark. Sweet D said, "I think we're in the Twilight Zone. This will never end." in a tone reminding me of 60 miles of Death Valley washboard roads south of Crankshaft Corner one long-ago sunrise. Nice basic hotel right off of I-70 to spend the night when on the road. Room was clean and comfortable. The sink is in the room rather than on the bathroom, which does make it hard to be quiet if you're up on the middle of the night. We were on the first floor and the light comes through the drapes from the parking lot which made it a bit hard to fall asleep. Breakfast was the typical free breakfast with sausage links, powdered eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, breads, apples, oranges, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Very reasonably priced and would definitely stay here again when on the road. read more

A nice option to stay in Richfield, conveniently located right off of I-70 and about 5 minutes to "down town." It looks like the place has been recently renovated and the room was clean and nice. The mattress was rock hard and there is a weird arrangement of pillows (they are about the size of couch pillows) but you get enough of them you can make it work. I didn't try breakfast but it looked and smelled great from what I could see. The only downfall I could see with this location is that there is no elevator and the stairs are located at the far end of the building. read more

We stayed here for approximately 5 days after hitting a deer on the I70. The room was great. It had twin queen size beds, refrigerator and microwave, which was a nice surprise. The couple that run the place were awesome! We got to know them a little bit while staying there. They will go out of their way to make sure your stay is a great experience. The free breakfast was always fresh and included sausage, eggs, waffles, bagels, danishes, cereal, etc, more than most that serve a Continental breakfast. Once again, we had a wonderful experience at the Best Western Richfield Inn. The hotel is our favorite over night spot during our California to Colorado drives each summer and winter. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly which is a bonus for our family. The location is convenient to the interstate exit, yet far enough away to not be impacted by traffic noise. We had a wonderful stay at this Best Western. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the front desk agent. The room was very clean and pleasant. We got a great sleep in the very comfortable bed. The grounds were immaculate. It was easy to see that the entire staff took pride in their work by the way everything looked. The breakfast offered a variety of food and juice items. The indoor pool and hot tub were very inviting although we did not have the opportunity to use them. This was a good place to stay with children. Our road-trip to Peyton, CO brought us to the Best Western in Richfield, Utah. We needed a room that could sleep 2 adults and 4 kids and another room for the grandparents. This hotel checked that box. It is far from fancy, the restroom is small with a wicked slippery shower, hard bed and freaky pillows. The room however is kept clean, the air conditioning works great, big TV and complementary full breakfast. Also the price was on the lower side of hotels nearby. The best thing about this hotel are the nice people managing it. They honored my request for a downstairs room and since we stayed there on the way to Peyton and on the way home they gave us the exact rooms for each stay. That is going the extra mile. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and have to say this is the first hotel the manager remembered my name from one stay to the next. That made me feel special. If I could give this place a zero I would. Traveling as a single woman moving across the country. When I arrived at 5 pm (their check in begins at 2) The staff informed me they canceled my booking because they claimed they called me to confirm yet I didnt receive any miss calls or voicemails. The manager then continued to aggressively yell at me, all because I was inquiring about the reason of my cancellation so I could understand the reasoning and not have this happen again in the future. He continued to yell at me and then say it was cancelled because my card on file wasnt active when I clicked on pay at arrival during booking ( and it was a debit card with plenty if funds on it) he then proceeded to call me a bitch and told me to leave. Mind you 30 minutes after i left and checked into the holiday inn down the street i received a confirmation email saying my reservation was all set. Then out of curiosity I went on yelp yo read reviews to see if anyone else experienced something similar and about 5-10 other guest's experience the same manager being rude, aggressive, and yelling at other women guests. Would absolutely not recommend this place. Will never be returning to another best western again. Very easy pleasant experience. Stayed here 1 night on a recent road trip. Booked thru Priceline and got a good deal on it. The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. They also had hot breakfast in the morning. Sausage and eggs, and muffins with gravy. Better than most of the continental breakfasts. I'll begin with the obvious: this is an older hotel. It does NOT have an elevator to the second floor, which can be a problem for the disabled, elderly, or those who overpack:) If you need to be on the first floor, make sure you mention it in your reservation. Calling into the hotel can be a bit of a challenge. I called twice and was supposed to be put on hold, but the call was dropped instead. Television volume is limited to a level that might not work for someone with a slight hearing deficit. Do not let these few problems dissuade you from staying here. The positives far outweigh the negatives. Positives: 1. This is a family-owned business. They are friendly and inviting and genuinely want your stay to be exceptional. 2. The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. Every corner has been thoroughly cleaned, ensuring all guests' safe and comfortable stay. 3. The pool and jacuzzi are a highlight of this hotel. The water is crystal clear, inviting you for a relaxing dip. The pool water is also warm enough for children to enjoy for long periods without feeling cold. 4. The beds are very comfortable. 5. having a bathtub in the room was nice for those who enjoy a bath. 6. The breakfast was more than a simple continental affair. There were eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, mini muffins, cold cereal, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and more. The trays were kept fully stocked. 7. The ice machine was in working order and on the first floor. There is also a vending machine. 8. Laundry machines are available for a fee. 9. Check-in was a bit chaotic, with no one at the front desk when we first arrived; the manager was attending to some business in the pool area, and came to serve us after a few minutes. We stayed here for 1 night. Glad we chose this hotel. Ishwar was super nice and also the lady that was cleaning the rooms. I didnt get her name,but they both were very friendly. This hotel is super clean. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was a very good varity. Very clean dining and hotel area We were super tired so we didn't use the pool . Also, i was traveling with my 2 small service dogs and i happen to ask for the 1st floor and they actually have me one with such a short reservation time. Story time. We used Orbitz to book. In October, we reserved two rooms (under two different registration numbers) for February (Utah 4A State Wrestling Tournament). At some point, we discovered we only needed one of the rooms, so we canceled ONE of the rooms through Orbitz. At this point, we had one registration number that was canceled and another that was still valid and reserved. Fast forward to the day of check-in. The clerk tells us, "Expedia canceled your reservation." My wife tries to show him proof that only one of the reservations was canceled, and we should still have a current registration/reservation. He has no desire to hear her and says it's not his fault because Expedia canceled. At this point, it was pointless to debate him as they had no rooms available. We contacted Orbitz, and after they confirmed, we did, in fact, have a valid reservation they (Orbitz) contacted the same clerk. He was just as defensive, argumentative, and accusatory with him as with us. According to the very helpful Orbitz operator, he didn't want to hear how there was a valid reservation/registration. In the end, Orbitz was VERY helpful and made accommodations when it wasn't even their error. I would not recommend or stay at the Best Western Richfield Inn. I highly recommend Orbitz hotels. After we passed right on by and had to take side streets (make sure to enter where the Chevron station is), we discovered they have a large parking lot. We were towing our car behind our Uhaul, and had plenty of room. We were greeted by a very helpful man. We had a cat, and were charged a $15 pet fee. Very reasonable. Our room was at the end of the hall in the first floor, two doors down from the outside door to the back parking lot. Very easy access. There is an entrance in the front, and one at either end of the building. Our room had two queen beds, microwave, fridge and a great view of fields and the mountains. The shower had a lot of pressure. Almost too much, but it was nice and hot. There was a very nice breakfast the next morning. They ask that you do not bring it back to your room. The coffee was really good. Surprisingly good. There is a large sit down dining area, and it was extremely clean. Someone else was washing the front windows as well. This is a very friendly, very clean place with a large parking lot. Very close to the interstate as well. I would recommend this place, as we had a very pleasant experience. read more

I normally love staying at Best Western's but this time I must admit We had a horrible experience. First off the breakfast was inedible...the eggs appeared not to be cooked all the way and were not good tasting at all! The sausage was over cooked and cold and the biscuits were so hard I could not eat them. The waffle iron left the waffles under cooked. Now let's move on to the room the curtains covered the air conditioning vent and it was a warmer day in Utah making the room extremely hot. The person at the front desk was on the phone the entire time making it difficult to communicate with him. So check in and check out was not very favorable. I stayed at this very fine establishment for a few nights. The front desk staff greeted me with smiles and open arms after a long drive from Chicago Illinois. I really enjoyed that I was tired and just wanted to relax. They got me check-in swiftly without a hassle. The room was cleaner they a baby's bottom, smelt fresh as well. I'd give it 3.5 stars if that were an option. Let me start off by saying that there is nothing wrong with this hotel, other than being a little dated. The price is right, and if you are passing through looking for a place to sleep, this place is fine. Service was great! Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices. Finding the entrance is a little weird, you have to drive through what looks like a gas station parking lot to get there. Really the only negative was that I was able to find a similar rate in a different hotel in Richfield which was much more modern. BW might want to consider lowering their rates to remain competitive. read more

I applaud Best Western for the significant investment to improve...the hotel has been completed rennovated and nicely done. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is...what can I say, it is free. I have stayed at Best Western years ago and stopped because they were tired and had that 'stale motel smell'. I stayed at this Best Western as I got into town very late and not many choices...glad I did and will look for another Best Western as I continue my journey east...and did I say, a terrific rate!
