My daughter had a sore throat we went to her office and after they looked at her said it was a sore throat and to take over the counter meds...this was a Thursday. Never did they do a strep test. But they charged us. On Saturday my child couldn't swallow so now in the ER, she had strep. We told the ED MD and they suggested that we find a new MD. 2. My youngest would break out in hives - she suggested oatmeal baths. No referral- nothing but a bill. I took her to an allergist she had a rare sequences of allergies and cant be exposed to any latex, spandex, wool, plastic etc.. and she now has an eppi pen. 3. My oldest daughter, within 3 week at 9 yrs old - whad size ee breast. She was in pain! We went to Dr. Amber Smith. And her response was " I never had a patient was to cut off her boobies". No referral - nothing but a bill. I called around and found a women's health MD - She had acrare condition called gigantomastia, that could have killed her - she was treated with many different medications, therapies and PT later she had to have reconstruction surgery. Beware - she had no empathy for the patient, she was nice and polite but was trying to be more of a camp counselor type friend than a doctor who wanted to get to the root of the issue. She treated the parents like all kids have this and they will get over it. When these were life threatening issues. When a parent actually has tried everything and then makes the appointment brings the child in only to be told there is nothing - is horrible service. When I complain I was threatened by the front desk lady. that said I had a problem and they could report me to CPS.

If you suffer, the shots really did help, but it was a huge commitment. Their billing was professional and easy. Never had a bad experience with them. I was getting two shots twice a week for a few weeks, and then two shots per week, and then it gradually lessens. I stopped due to pregnancy, but the effects lasted and I didn't need much medication last year. I'd pick up and go again, but the lack of a 5th star is because they picked up their office and moved over to Garden Way, a full 20 min drive from where they used to be :( Who wants to drive over there every week? Not me.

I have reported them to the medical board two years ago for LYING about my sons "broken" foot and calling the police on us saying the X-ray showed a break which later i found out the doctor falsified this so that DHS and the police would come investigate. His foot was never broken and not even fractured. The doctor said multiple times how inconvenient it was for her for us to get there too close to closing even though we called ahead of time and the receptionist said as long as we got there BEFORE closing they would never turn us away. Now two years later my elderly father smashed his hand and we showed up at 4:50 with him profusely bleeding and his nail completely off. They refused to treat him and said they are not an URGENT care and we're closing and would not treat him, said that coming in 10 minutes before closing was not enough time to treat him and that since they're a physician office the doctor would not be treating him. I asked why they have multiple HUGE green signs that say URGENT CARE all over their building and by the main road. The receptionist refused to give me the doctors name that was making the choice to not treat someone in her waiting room saying it's "policy". Don't doctors take oaths to do no harm? I will be calling the office manger LEAH tomorrow. I will reporting the facility to the medical Board again and if you have had anything similar to you happen I urge you to call and complain as well. If you're open til FIVE you are open til FIVE. I have worked in the medical field for over 15 years and we would have been FIRED for turning away an emergency patient - we make PROMISES to our patients that when you sign up with insurance contracted THROUGH us we will take care of you!! I will also be calling the insurance provider and urging them to DISCONTINUE going thru such a terrible patient care facility.

Outstanding service…read more I have been coming here for multiple appointments and have found each visit very pleasant. (Well, as pleasant as any trip to the dermatologist can be, lol.) When I call for an appointment I am greeted by a scheduling person that upbeat, verifies my info, and is accommodating. At the Coos Bay office, they (I was helped by the receptionist, Kari) double checked my info. Very friendly. (My last visit they were training a second receptionist to help with overflow.) The waiting area is large, neat and clean. As far as care, I've been helped by PA Megan Smith. She is extremely competent and efficient, and knowledgeable. Her assistant, Heather, is equally friendly going over your file and the reason for your visit. I would highly recommend this place!

I've told everyone and anyone I know to see him, and the response from everyone I've sent his way has been the same..."FINALLY, a doctor who will stop and listen to me, not just hand me a handful of pills and say 'you need to lose weight'!" Now, don't misunderstand, if you need a handful of pills, or you need to lose weight (don't we all?), Dr. Armitage will tell you... But he's not a "throw pills at it" kind of doctor.
