Returned numerous times due to one aid not working after a few weeks. Starkey is the only brand we have ever had and will continue wearing, but we are choosing another place where we have had excellent care. The owner reached out due to a negative review and was pleased that she offered additional help but it's not working. Hearing aids should last longer than a few weeks before sending them in for repair. Last time we were told it was due to wax buildup. Why wasn't this checked at the office before sending out to be repaired. Our family has worn aids for over 40 years so we are very much aware of when an aid is not working as it should and not because of wax build up after 2 weeks. We will continue to purchase from the same office we have had for years, with excellent service. The only reason we bought from Southwestern is because it took our Hearing aid coverage.

She also has had the technical skills, knowledge and equipment to resolve the device issues that I've experienced. She is a great listener who worked with me to assure that my devices are functioning properly before I left her office. Considering the complexity of hardware and software in modern devices, that's not an easy chore. Arranging a timely appointment to see Melissa has never been a problem. The Advanced Hearing Systems' office is being expanded and remodeled now to allow Melissa's (audiologist) daughter to work out of the same office. I called several weeks ago to ask if it would be distasteful to bring in the old hearings aids and have them adjusted for my moderate hearing loss. He said "no, that would be fine." Finally, today I was in Springfield and called to see if there was any way I could come in while in town. Mr. Kerr was so pleasant and said I could come by in 30 minutes. Within the hour, I had a hearing test and the hearing aids adjusted for my ears. There was no hard sell to buy new ones like I got in Florida. The people there would not understand that I would not pay $6,000 for hearing aids without giving it a lot of thought. Mr. Kerr said that I could try the old ones out for awhile and if I ever wanted to upgrade, he would be glad to help me out. I appreciate his approach so much! As my parents have needed a bit more assistance, I (their daughter) have taken them to appointments. I live in Texas, so it can be quite challenging to be sure everything is taken care of in the best possible way. Last week when I was in St. Louis visiting my mom, I found that she had lost one of her hearing aids, which was really limiting her ability to interact and be fully part of conversations. I contacted Dr. Juelich's office, realizing we would likely need to wait several weeks to get the situation resolved, mentally planning when I might be able to return for follow-up. Grace, however, was miraculously able to schedule an appointment that day at a different office, and Dr. Juelich went above and beyond to figure out a solution.
