There was no line up when we went, staff is friendly but there is a definite language barrier; I had to repeat my orders a number of times. My food was barely warm, maybe it's better during the rush hours. The soups, however, were piping hot! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. If I was in the area, had only a few coins in my pocket (items range from $1.25-$5), and was hangry, I would stop by again.

They also collect soda/pop can tabs so if you are looking to drop yours off somewhere, this is the place. Willy's is definitely a recommended roadside snack shack.

There is the sweet bean paste (tastes like Hoisin) plus the hot sauce if you want any -- The final step is to add in the fillings, which include Tianjin style deep fried cracker, green onions, and what I can't remember. I particularly love the fish one because fish fillet was soft and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. On the other hand the chicken one was not as impressive as the fish one. Probably because the chicken was diced, it can get quite messy eating it. I'd say 2 for $10 is a great deal and I'm all about fish. Inflation over the years have risen a lot of prices - so it could range anywhere from $10 for a drink to $15-$20 for food. Quantity wise - depending on where you look - can vary. You may have to spend at least 1-2 dishes to feel full. It's a staple yearly event that happens in Markham - definitely do check it out - and you may little hidden surprises !

NIU's always been synonymous with funky smell, gimmicky lights, a packed crowd and overpriced food. Yet the reason, I suppose ppl go is the camaraderie with friends and for a night out w/ significant others? The annual event always happens in the markham VIP theater parking lot and you'll probably need to park near the AVIVA building. Parking fills up quick so you might need to end up parking far and walking over. As soon you get near you'll notice the pungent smell of stinky tofu wafting through the entire lot and permeating your nostrils. My first year back this year w/ my gf and everything started at $10+. I think I must've spent close to $150 by the end of the night. Gf was happy. My wallet? Not so much LOOLL. They had dance, band and singer performances on a main stage throughout the night (basically like an outdoor concert). If you get lost from your group of friends good luck trying to find them cuz chances are you're not gonna have good cell signal either. You'll see a lot of gimmicky food vendors at NIU so pick and choose wisely! Cool experience for a first time if you've never been. If you've already been, you can hard skip a couple years before revisiting. It's always the same thing so you won't ever feel the FOMO.

Here you can get a snack, a drink, a full meals from some of Toronto's most popular business/restaurants and some of them don't even have a store front! Price might be a little more than getting from the original store but you can get everything here! Tacos from Mad Mexician, Burger from Holy Chuck and especially the over hyped Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake was served as individual portion and no line up when I arrived around 10:30 am. There is also a nice seating area with entertainment. This is better than any food trucks or any of the gimmicky events I been to that required an admission fee and it will be here till end of September! Too bad Toronto's summer is so short! Well you can put all those things behind you (for now) because for the most part the area is all cleaned up and fully functional. On top of this, they added some real street cred by dropping a food market right smack in front of front (get it!). Front Street Foods, offers a vast selection of treats for travelers looking to grab some food in a pinch or locals just looking to try something different. Before I sound like a travel brochure, just know that most of the options prior were either McDonald's, or Mmmm Muffins. Not gunna hate, but sometimes a guy needs to treat himself knowmsayin? Anyway, I got it started with a Fried Oyster Bao from Yolo. Yes, YOLO the acronym designed and made famous by our very own Drake. You know, Drake, the type of guy who cries when cutting carrots so that the onions won't feel alone. Yeah that's the one! This place has nothing to do with him besides the horrible name of the food stand, but yeah that Fried Oyster was aight. Next up was Uncle Tetsu for dessert. Now this is where things get even better. Not only was there NO LINE UP for the cheesecake, we were also able to purchase the new Matcha Green Tea for the first time. I was great, really it was, but that's not the end of it. Uncle Tetsu, was actually there in the flesh, dancing with fans and openly taking selfies with people. What a great guy, I wish we all had an Uncle Tetsu in our family. Check out this joint, before the summer is over and it turns into a mound of snow obstructing your walk in December, YOLO. Toronto needs more of this and less of Drake. You know, the type of guy whose eyes roll back in his head when he eats chocolate.
