They do not behave as if you are a professional, but rather as if you are a high school kid on your first job. You are not consulted on any changes to your schedule or responsibilities, simply assigned whatever they please. Worse, if ANYONE, from nurse to patient to janitor, has any complaints about you, you are guilty. You have no opportunity to defend yourself, nor even to know what the complaint actually is. In six years working here, I have never received a raise. There is no opportunity to even ask. Yet they demand ever increasing volumes of output. Staffing levels are determined by mysterious bureaucrats who you never see, and could not even name. If you simply want to go to work, not talk to anyone nor actually see a patient, this is the job for you. If you wish to actually be a professional, look elsewhere.

I came in with severe shoulder pain unable to move my arm with no known injury and no imaging was done. the doctor barely spent time with me. I felt pushed away before trying to figure what was wrong. After going through excruciating pain over the weekend with no pain meds because Dr Anderson would not prescribe them, I finally saw my doctor who did x rays and found calcified tendinitis which is very painful for a person to go through. I finally got answers. I would not recommend Dr Anderson to anyone. Doctors need to stop and have a better understanding of their patients before shoving them out the door. Thank you

The Mayo Clinic here could take lessons from the Mayo clinic in La Crosse, my daughter went to the…read moreurgent care for a sore throat and ear pain, they didn't allow her to see a doctor since she doesn't have a primary doctor in Mankato, she is a student there, her primary doctor is in La Crosse, they can access her medical records, they asked her for a urine test when she went in for a sore throat, they did give her a throat culture eventually, but wouldn't look at her throat. She said she was treated like she was unintelligent and she said they were very rude to her. This is the second time she has been seen at this urgent care, both times she has called me crying due to her treatment there.

Then they brought me back to the person that would be taking over my meds. I sat down I said hello Jody didn't say hello back. I was confused I said hello again. And then she started to attack me verbally about my meds. She did not explain anything to me. I tried to tell her that I didn't understand. She asked me nothing about my health conditions mental health conditions. She asked me no questions immediately started attacking me about what a psychiatrist had prescribed me. I was very confused at first also felt self-conscious felt self-conscious about the way I was being treated. Then it finally clicked and I realized she didn't like the meds my previous prescriber had given me. She did not explain anything to me. She just verbally attacked me. I told I told her that I didn't understand and then she said do I want to leave now . So she asked me to leave. I had no idea how to get out of the building. And I had to ask for three times for her assistance to get to the lobby. Then I got a little angry and I told her she was rude and nobody deserves we treated the way she was treating me. I went home I slept and cried all day long. Nobody under God's green earth should ever be treated like that especially somebody that has anxiety depression post-traumatic stress. Even if you don't have any kind of mental disabilities nobody should ever be treated like that. It was a second most horrific thing I have been through. In my life. I totally thought about maybe I wasn't good enough to be helped by the professional fields. And maybe I should just go home and die.

While she was sitting talking to me another nurse walks up to my door and yells how dare you make so-and-so cry. I had a look at the patient care assistant and said I don't even know who this woman is I looked at the patient care lady and said who is this person I don't know her is this how Mayo Healthcare treats their patients. She made the woman apologize to me and I just looked at her and said this is crazy maybe they need to go back and graduate from kindergarten before they become a RN and deal with with people who are in severe pain from a surgery. This hospital has many issues from disorganized staff to rude nurses and doctors. It sucks that they are in any way associated/affiliated with Mayo Clinic because that may in some way conn people into thinking they have a standard of care equal to the Mayo Clinic. They don't. If I were dying I think I would try to make it to the next hospital and if I could at all wait I'd make the drive to Rochester. Wouldn't take an animal here. Ask around to the people in town they all seem to have their own horror stories.

Several tests were required to determine proper care. All the tests were done within the facility. Through each step they kept us informed and updated. Each person was caring, expressed concern, provided information and addressed the problem. Yes it took some time as they were a little busy starting with ebut very reasonable.
