Stop hesitating or debating over whether you think you *need* a wedding planner....You NEED Abby! I found Abby in perfect time -- about two months before my wedding -- and she was a true God-send! Immediately from the start, she made me feel calm and made me feel like everything was going to be okay -- and it was! We sat down together about a month before the big day and we went through EVERYTHING together: who my vendors were, what I had for a schedule so far, what my vision was for the decor, what my vision was in general, my to-do list, etc. There were big holes in my wedding to-do list and Abby stepped right up to the plate. She rolled up her sleeves and got to work in helping me finish all of the last-minute planning details that I just didn't have the time for. She called all of my vendors, confirmed their services and arrival times, sent them each schedules, and helped me figure out a transportation schedule for my wedding guests. Fast-forward to the day of the wedding. It's early. I'm inside the venue (where my family and I also stayed the night), just waking up, and I look out my window. There's Abby, coffee in hand, getting right to work with setting things up. A couple of hours later, while I'm getting my hair done, Abby comes in to check on me and make sure I feel good and have everything I need. I peek outside the window and our reception area is looking fabulous! I've never felt so RELAXED...I knew my wedding was totally handled and there was nothing for me to worry about. I just had to drink my wine and enjoy my day :) If there were any problems on my wedding day, I didn't have a clue. She always had her clipboard in hand with all of the details, schedule, phone numbers...everything at her fingertips. My mom and mom-in-law were always asking her questions, needing this, needing that, and while I was rolling my eyes at them, she handled all of their questions, favors, and needs with grace and a genuine smile. Throughout the wedding evening and in the days, even weeks after the wedding, all of my guests were saying that my wedding was truly the best they'd ever been to -- all of that praise honestly goes right to Abby. They were every unprofessional and even my bridal party mentioned how rude and mean they were for the rehearsal practice we had. On the contract it states that they will provide stress free coordination which is NOT what we had. If anything they provided more stress and I had to tell my bridal party to keep them away from me on the day of the wedding. Myself and my fiancé had to do all of the leg work and all the vendors knew exactly the events of the wedding EXCEPT for Barry and Sherri. This was a destination wedding for me and it was different NOT WORTH paying them for their poor service. I delivered all my welcome bags, had my bridal party set up the venue, the groomsmen had to set up the boardwalk chairs. It was a waste of money since we had to do everything ourselves. Also when I inquired about what they were able to do they got offended. But as a client and customer I have every right to know/understand what I'm paying for! Even the things that fell under their description they did not do! They were very quick to send the invoices to be paid and yell at me and my fiancé that it 'has to be paid NOW!'. This shocked me and my fiancé since we didn't have a payment issue with them. Do not do any business with this business. I feel scammed by the service I received and added more stress to my special day. Also the vendors that they work with I was told by Sherri to contact them myself since she didn't get along with them. If she's the coordinator why isn't she organizing the vendors?...now I know why she doesn't have a good relationship with the vendors. She scoped out our location in advance and made helpful suggestions about natural lighting and doing a first look (which we hadn't considered before). She also suggested a fancy hanger for dress pictures which had completely slipped my mind in the billion things on my planning checklist. The day of she was early to scope everything out and worked with my maid of honor to take pictures of our home's decoration before guests arrived. The first look pictures still make me tear up in happiness at the look my husband gave me and I'm so glad they're forever captured. She did beautiful edits on my dress and solo pictures and kept my grumpy cat of a husband smiling and laughing even when he was very much done having his picture taken. I've gotten so many compliments on the photos and questions if they were taken at a country club, no one guessed it was a backyard. The ceremony photos captured us and our guests along with many family shots we'll cherish as we have family that infrequently visits from out of the country.
