If I could give this spa, zero stars I would. My daughter bought me a Hollywood spa treatment so I finally have time to go on November 14, 2022. Everything was great except for the facial. The very next day my my eyes were swollen shut. My face was red and blotchy. I took a picture right away, but I wanted to give it another day because I wasn't sure what was really going on as I never had a facial before. The next day came same exact thing ice, swollen, where it was even painful underneath my eyes so I called the spa and I talk to the owner Chrissy to let her know what I've been experiencing right away. She became very defensive, insisting that she did nothing wrong. I must have sensitive skin and I asked her what kind of products she used. She insisted they were all organic, and I needed to give it another 3 to 4 days. so I took her advice and gave it another 3 to 4 days and during these 3 to 4 days I was taking Benadryl twice a day because I was thinking maybe I could be having some kind of allergic reaction to whatever it was that she was using organic or not. every day I took pictures of my face, my eyes and even my neck was starting to be affected as well, so on the following Wednesday which would've been one week since I had the facial done I went to the ER and explain to the doctors about my facial, the previous Wednesday. As soon as they examined me, the immediately said, I was not having an allergic reaction that this was a chemical burn and it didn't matter that she was using organic products. It is still a chemical burn. They did say that it would heal. It would just probably take another week or so. So, since then I've been trying to get in touch with her by calling her almost every day. I always got her answering machine, so I think she blocked my number because I called her from a different phone today which is Friday, December 9 and yes, what she finally answered the phone. I was just trying to explain to her what the doctor said and she got very condescending very aggressive saying she's been doing this for 20 years. She did nothing wrong and so I asked her since she's been doing this 20 years and she didn't believe this was a chemical burn, what is her opinion what caused the burn on my face and she insisted it wasn't from anything that she did. It probably happened somewhere else. Then she kept repeating over and over again you signed a waiver preventing you from suing me so I'll have my attorney send you the copy of the waiver. I said ok please have them send me a copy. First of all I never even mentioned anything about a lawsuit she kept going there. My intention was never to sue her but I felt she needed to maybe even just offer me back the amount of the gift card that I used that day plus the extra $40 she charged me because prices increased since the gift card was purchased lol really???? I thought that would of been fair to ask, I wasn't even going to ask for the 50 that I tipped her 2 employees for the pedicure and massage because they were great!However I wasn't even given the chance because she hung up on me lol. I feel what's best is just to write this review and post the pictures of what this woman did to my face. Chrissy the owner is very unprofessional and very rude. I just took a screenshot of the text she just sent me. One of the things she stating in her text is that it's been three weeks. I texted her back and let her know. I understand it's been three weeks, but I also have phone records to show that I've been calling her almost every day since my ER diagnosis of the chemical burn and I always got her voicemail, so yeah the only reason she answered the phone today is because I called her from a different phone number because, like I stated earlier, it seems like she block my number. Thank God for phone records and technology. I can't believe this woman she lies and doesn't want to take any responsibility for what she did to my face. Unbelievable! Update to the response from the owner Crissy. I'm uploading the picture I have with the dates timestamped on them. My facial was on November 16th 2022. I started taking pictures on November 17th 2022 and almost everyday up until I went to the ER. Pictures and time stamps don't lie Pic of me with my eldest daughter. And a pic of ER report. I'm a 52 yr old woman mother of 3 and a grandmother of 3. I do not use skin care products now or ever before. I barley use make up. You can't lie your way out of this. So I already reviewed this business and the owner just responded to it BLATANTLY lying ! The gift certificate was purchased in June 2021 by my (caucasian) step father for my mother's birthday in July . He raved about how nice the receptionist was and we were excited to go there . I called you on July 25 to make the appointment and you started a text dialogue and I still have the messages to prove it, I'm pretty sure my step dad still has that receipt also with time stamp, if you want to go there . How dare you say the gift certificate was over a year old . Just ridiculous ! U stopped responding to my messages and I am a very busy flight attendant in the air 4 days a week and was also pregnant and could still find time to text you and you couldn't respond 2 months later to a customer ? . I eventually had to show up in person in September to finally get you to book the appointment . There was no customers in the place , just you and your child and you were able to book me for the following day , as Destin is very SLOW that time of year and you were NOT busy . Your nail tech was on call because that's just how slow this place is in the off season , I have lived here for 11 years. You struggled making sure your nail tech would be available and I was nice enough to tell u , we could do the pedis a separate day to accommodate you and after all that, you were still rude condescending towards my mom and I all because I wanted to do a upgrade. Not surprised you're on here arguing in the reviews with people , that's just how unprofessional you are ! UPDATE: After I made this post in response to the owner , she then begun to send me direct messages through Yelp threatening to sue me and that she reported my comment to Yelp . I screenshotted all the messages and eventually had to block her . She has since updated her initial comment but still insisting It's been over a year since I've been in her business which is untrue like I stated before. I have attached the text and appointment confirmation for reference . Let me say this , people do make mistakes and I am not one to be confrontational at all , the disrespect my mom and I received was NOT subtle by any means . I was visibly pregnant and my feet were swollen , it jus made sense to do a foot treatment instead of a manicure ..after asking to do this , she stormed to the back and LOUDLY expressed how pissed she was to the nail tech , you would expect a little bit more compassion being that she's a mother herself . My mom told me to just avoid it as this woman was clearly looking to start something with us, we ignored her! After all , posting a review is a more civilized way to handle a bad experience but here we are going back and forth, I can only imagine if I had decided to confront her during that moment , the cops probably would have been called and my mom and I thrown out . She mentioned the nail tech was friendly towards me , ABSOLUTELY , it was clear she wanted no parts of the owners BS , we made sure to tip her generously and separately . She was also nice enough to share her labour stories with me - a first time mom . I am not going to sit here going back and forth about this . Krissy knows exactly what she did and a simple apology once she saw my post could have ended this. Hopefully Yelp reaches out to me so I can provide them with more documentation because I can't believe she's still claiming this is over a year ago . Ridiculous Lastly my mom did have to go back a different day for her facial and we cringed at that last desperate attempt to make it seem like switching from a manicure to a pedicure caused her to lose time . I have been using Krisy at Beverly Hills Day Spa since 2004. There were a few times I ventured out to other local "resort spas" and always returned back to Krisy. She is genuine in her work and her concern for her clients and their well being. In fact, I just had another facial & massage Friday and I must say, after a week back home with family, I was major stressed out. By the time I left Krisy, I felt like a new woman again. Revived, refreshed, relaxed and now ready to take on my next challenge life has for me! Friend and I each had a facial and massage. My anti-aging facial was done very professionally, felt great. Christina gave me one of my best deep tissue massages. Only open for appointments so book ahead. Small bldg with only 2 massage rms, 1 rm for facial but 2 chairs for pedicures. Also offer manicures, make-up applications but didnt have these done. Will be back. Tipping options were set on credit card charge app which was different, I am more comfortable with adding my own dollar amount instead of percentage. read more

After making and confirming nail appointments for myself and my bridal party to get mani/pedis, we received a call that our appointment was no longer available. I suspect they gave our appointment to someone else because we all planned to use Groupons. They wanted us to reschedule for Saturday morning, but this wouldn't work since that was the day of the wedding. My sister called them back to let them know that Saturday wouldn't work. The owner flipped out, made extremely rude comments and hung up on my sister. She then proceeded to text my sister extremely rude comments including, "Good luck finding someone else to do your nails this short of notice". I have had a two facials there and really enjoyed them..The line of aloe products is amazing, specially the scrub and the mask... The owner is a sweetheart, she is very professional and I know she really cares about pampering her clients, she reads a lot about beauty products and she has tons of extra beauty info to share! This is my favorite spa to visit while on vacation! A true Destin gem! I was so impressed when I came here back in 2011, that I absolutely had to come back!! Chrissy is fabulous! I work in a large, full service spa back home, and I can definitely say her skills are of the highest caliber. Her spa is gorgeous, quiet, and serene. Her facial equipment is state-of-the-art. She uses an amazing aloe based skincare line that she explained throughly during my treatment! I picked up the products she recommend to maintain my results at home! Can't wait to use them! My husband received a massage from Blaine and it was wonderful. He did myosfacial release therapy on his muscles which is a very advanced technique that few massage therapists are well versed in. He took extra time to target specific problem areas and put my hubby back together! This is hands down a fabulous spa! I chose to give this spa 3 instead of 4 because the level of service varied. I booked my daughters spa party here. We had 4 little girls. The cost was $75 a child. I booked the party 3 weeks out. There was supposed to be 2 women working at the same time. One working on manis and pedis and the other working on facials and massages. When I arrived there was only a nail tech available. The facialist/masseuse was in with a couples massage. Seemingly they had overbooked their apps. I was suspicious since the couple were vacationers. Where I got aggravated was that I had 1 girl having her nails done at a time and i had 3 7yr olds to entertain for an hour until the masseuse came out. Where I really got mad was when the masseuse came out to tell these 3 anxious 7yr olds tobe more quiet while she had this couple in. I will say she was nice to the kids about it but really, she had them waiting an hour with nothing to do except eat mints in the lobby! Then when i complained to thenail tech, she was snippy about it. not sure if she was rude or just shy, as she spoke little to nothing to the girls as she did their nails. For that, I was going to rate it 1 star. Finally when the couple left she came out to start the masseuse/facialist came out and she was wonderful with the girls. Very sweet, talkative and kind. So I bumped it up to 4 stars from there. But since we arrived at 4 and did not leave until 7:30' an hour and a half later than expected, I decided on 3 star rating instead. If you are considering a spa service for yourself, I am sure the place would be great. However, if you plan to book a party for young girls look elsewhere or be prepared to entertain them while they wait. I think this place would be best suited for a mother daughter spa day, but as for accommodating a party, I would not recommend. $300 later, plus tips, and 4 hungry and tired little girls not sure it was worth it. The services were ok, especially the facials and massage, but having little girls waiting around and expected to be quiet was just wrong. Although on the smaller side, the services offered were albsolutely luxurious. I had a gift certificate for a mini-spa day which included a half-hr. massage, facial, and manicure. I added on a pedicure for $45. The massage therapist was the best I'd ever had. She was warm and personable. I almost felt like I was back in the womb. I was offered a robe and wine, cheese, finger sandwiches, and fruit. I had a chocolate facial which left me smelling so good I almopst didn't want to shower. The owner did my nails and she was delightful She took her time and gave me another massage as if I wasn't relaxed already. I recently visited the spa and was very disappointed. The selection of polish was dismal, no spring colors or one single shade of red. The only magazine was a local Destin magazine. The spa mani and pedi typically comes with a massage of forearms and legs but no such luck here. There are several superior spas and nail salons in Destin. Definitely not treated like a star The lazy massage therapist was texting in both the massages My daughters were shocked... One girl was so busy texting DURING THE MASSAGE that she massaged the same foot for like 10 minutes! As for the pedicures They were awful. Pretending to give good services to 2 clients I doubt she could give a pedicure to one person... I had to start picking the goo out from under my toes nails She says "I can clean under your nails" Then doesn't. Barely took the polish off and didn't push cuticles back or scrub foot at all. Feet Don't feel cleaned and will be going to get a pedicure the day I get home. She massaged my left foot, but FORGOT my right... She did not buff our heels at all. I mean really?? She used the cheeze grater and then nothing. There were four of us ... All shocked at the quality of the care. They are rough and look like someone used a cheeze grater on them Lovely? NO I am 90% Satisfied with Larry His massage was deep tissue and I was impressed with many details of his technique. However, he was very sporadic Ie. The person doing my nails I think was having a bad day because she was not friendly at all and took it out on my poor nails. My fiancé booked a spa pkg as a surprise for me and my mom. She is going through chemo and he thought it was a good idea for us to have some time together to relax. Our experience was nothing like we expected. The owner was very unprofessional. She arrived late, and talked about her personal life and all her drama the entire time. We had to wait for at least 30 min between services which caused a huge delay in our plans for the rest of the day. My mom decided to add a brow wax and order some products while waiting. My fiancé had paid in advance to include a generous tip, so my mom paid for her things and we left shortly after. The next day we both woke up with red, itching, burning faces. It was Sunday and the spa was closed so I couldn't call. I should've called Monday but I was pretty sure I'd get the run around and just took the advice of my sister (who is a hairdresser and has some experience in cosmetology). Well the allergic reaction we had to the products lasted several days. So when my sister offered to pick up the products my mom ordered she asked the owner about it. The owner denied it had anything to do with the facial and got rude with my sister. On top of everything she asked my sister to have my mom call to pay for the waxing she forgot to charge! Upon arrival, I was asked if I'd like something to drink as is the custom in most spas. When I said I'd like a water, I was handed a very large cup that could have been used as a soup bowl and pointed to a water cooler in the corner. Seriously? The charge for the spa pedicure is normally $50.00, which is pretty much the going rate in Destin. However, I have had WAY better pedicures in Destin than the one I received here. I was thoroughly disappointed in the services provided by this spa facility. I booked a Churana Spa Pedicure and Swedish Massage for my mother as a birthday gift weeks in advance. I called the spa the morning of her appointment to add a manicure for myself and my mother. The lady I spoke with said she would be happy to add those services if we could arrive an hour in advance. My mother and I arrived an hour and ten minutes early as previously arranged, however the manicurist told my mother she only had time for one manicure. As for the "manicure" I received, my six-year-old niece does a better job painting nails than this lady did. The polish was clumpy and all over the skin around my nails. When I asked her to remove the polish and apply a simple clear coat, the lady didn't even take the time to remove all the polish off my nails. She also did not bother to push back my cuticles or file my nails properly. Unfortunately, the services my mother received were poor as well. The massage therapist (who also happens to be the spa owner) had my mother fill out a form indicating areas on her body that required extra attention. My mother circled the shoulder area, yet the therapist didn't bother to address that area at all. The lady who did my manicure also performed the Churana Spa Pedicure for my mother. This $60 service apparently does not include pushing back cuticles or proper nail polish application either. I will treat this experience as a very expensive lesson learned: DON'T go to Beverly Hills Day Spa. read more

after a few hiccups in the beguining id like to say that i am very impressed with this spa , its calm and relaxing,they had MIMOSAS lol, the nail tech was sooo sweet , one thing that def set this place apart from other places was the owners ability to handle a difficult client(me), i am greatefull that krissy was able to work with me and that she was willing to do everything she could to make me feel like i was an important part of her spa. i def recomend this place to every one. the pedicure was amazing they put a cooling mask on my toes and it felt amazing!!! i couldnt be happier with this place. read more
