Not very LGBTQ friendly for Weho. Like you are in a time machine and have entered the 50s…read more Found out thier was finaly a university right near me in Weho that I could tell people about. Called them and assumed that they would have some classes available of interest and wanted to know what they where. The person I talked to was very rude. They asked me not only why I was askng, but how I qualafied to go there! I told her I was not thinking about going there, but would like to know what classes they had to tell my friends. She said she could not tell anyone that did not qualify!! It didnt make sense. All I wanted to know was about the classes and got a whole lot of other things. I obliged to tell her I was interested in any classes related to LGBTQ issues. She abruptly then said that they had nothing like that. Being that it is in the city of WEHO, I was shocked at how quickly she said that. I asked her why and she said they dont cater to one group, but try to help everyone. I then asked how that was possible if they dont represent large parts of our population? The approach seemed antiquated and I had fell into a time warp stuffed with weird bits of ideas from a past I had almost forgot about. It felt bullyish and a little like some of the bad ideas floating around politically these days. No one wants to feel bullied when they call a college. No one wants to fell bullied at all. It went downhill and I did not feel listened to in any way after that. She just kept insisting that I needed to be qualafied to go there to get information to the point where I was being interrupted every other word. This is not a collage, it's a curio box filled with values from a bygone age and should not ever be in Weho unless they take some sensitivity class about what we founded this city on.

No map will be provided if you are unfamiliar with the location. Be ready to walk in circles. -admissions requires official transcripts but NEVER notifies you that they have been received and you can't get in contact to confirm -they require approval for outside credits but you will wait months before getting a counseling appointment for review of transcripts -I had to make multiple appointments for counselors mistakes and misinformation to which they are not apologetic for. -counselors are NOT trained and waste your time to review credits after you've waiting a month just to be able to make an appointment and then another 2 weeks because the first counselor didn't submit credits correct(I was given 3 separate answers-yes all are transferable, no only a couple, then finally, yes more than a couple but not all credits are transferable which ultimately brought creditably of school and counselors into question) I was told the school doesn't have proper funding so they do their best to give you correct credits but ultimately felt like I was being scammed into taking more credits so they could make money. I was also recommended to just sign up for classes even if they weren't the right ones because it's better to be in a class while I wait on credit approval. -they make you pay for parking but don't enforce rules -campus is disgusting especially AD building and restrooms -homeless camp there and do drugs and doesn't feel safe

As a fellow yelper said it so well.. are we really going to rate USC on Yelp? LOL!!…read more I am delighted and thrilled to share I am now an alumna of USC. As a yelper here for over 13 years, I don't sugarcoat my words (or in my reviews), and I don't intend to do so here either. The USC program is rigorous and not for everyone. There were so many readings that I often genuinely wondered if it was even humanly possible to get through them all. Granted, I am a slow reader, and that certainly did not help. Beyond the beautiful campus and the prestige that comes with the school, more importantly know that there is no financial aid for tuition fees for master program. Education does not come cheap. Still I am grateful for the learning experience and for my many professors who were simply wonderful and amazing professionals. A big shout out to Dr. Julianna Kirschner, Professor Monica Koyama, Dr. Muthuswamy and Dr. Courtney Pade. P.S. I do wish I had been in the class of Dr. Bracero and Dr. Akira; I have heard so many amazing things about them.

I didn't attend this prestigious University; however, I joke that I am an honorary alumna. My brothers from another mother all graduated from here, and I attend Homecoming with them every year. In fact, I used to work with Eddie Tannenbaum who discovered Traveler (USC's Mascot) when he was a junior in 1961. The campus is beautiful and features several Romanesque Revival style buildings. A portion of the main campus was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The Coliseum is in walking distance. I've attended many football games here over the years and have seen Clay Matthews, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, & Matt Leinart play. I remember the glory days of Pete Carroll. Our favorite tailgate party is the one hosted by LAMBDA. They have a great DJ, delicious food, a premium bar, fun activities and, of course, fabulous attendees! This year we were treated to yummy eats from Bludso's BBQ & tasty treats by Ice Cream Occasions. When the party was over, we all headed to the Coliseum for the match between the Trojans & the Huskies. Sadly, we lost this game but we will continue to Fight On!
