The front desk manager is very helpful as well and very kind. The school is small and that helps to maintain a better environment where everyone knows each other. The middle school students interact really well with the lower grade students. I also love that they pray every day and they teach them that God is always first. The extracurricular activities that they have are also really good and fun, and the students are happy to attend.

We had the best Principals and vice Principals. Alan Shear was a good and tough principal that kept our school in line. I do not know now whom is running or supervising the school now. I see they changed their name. Campus still look the same from the photos I have seen. Yes, fights broke out when I was going to school too. But they were not happening everyday. Many kids are bussed here to Emerson that do not live close in the area. So, the school in not in a bad area. I loved all my teachers that helped me graduate too.

This review is mostly a graduation that I have attended on the 6th of June.. this year. One of my friends' grandchild and her sister who are twins also graduated from this lovely, beautiful, historic, ancient school that I adore and is SO near and dear to my heart. Yes, until today. Those great years, moments will never be forgotten. And they shouldn't. The school was divided into many different buildings. From their Science building, to Dance, English, Math, to the Martial Arts building. Just to name a few. They also hold different activities at this school when school is out. Like meetings, different types of celebrations inside their fairly large auditorium. The level of education is pretty good. So is their curriculum. When we graduated, we graduated at the iconic Hollywood Bowl. I thought that they stopped doing it, but the tradition is still the same. I remember we had to do a lot of fundraising in order to graduate at the Bowl. It was very exciting. Graduation was packed with a lot of students giving their speeches, along with their staff members. It went pretty smoothly.. We were sitting on the bleachers and could hardly see the ceremony. Thank God for the TVs on both sides of the bowl and the loud speakers. The Hollywood Bowl as some of us know, has different sections for merchandise, concession stands and plenty of restrooms. A lot of my favorite celebrities also attended this school back in the days. Like John Ritter, Judy Garland & Lana Turner. Just to name a few. If you want to sign your child up for this school, no need to look anywhere else. Highly recommend! Parking is at the Hollywood Bowl. Go Sheiks! That was our mascot and still remains the same. I was blown away by the dancers, and the organization of the performance! The performing arts magnet always has something going on, and I love that they keep the students inspired and connected! I do wish they would figure out a parking structure, because sometimes the gates are closed and it's hard for parents and family to park when there's an event we're there to see! One other thing that could be a nice addition is concessions. There usually aren't many things to buy food/beverage wise at the school's events, and with some of the events going on for hours, especially football games, I think more effort can be made in that area! I can't speak about drop off or pick up lanes because my kid takes a bus, but i will say they do have sunscreen dispensers by the soccer field and they seemed to have been there through out the school year and into summer. The campus is small and they have multiple security staff located at both gates, which is a big relief with all the violence that has happened on campuses all over the country. Everyone is friendly and professional. The girls on the volleyball team are on campus usually pretty late so we've met a lot of the supporting staff who are also very approachable and genuine. Over all I would recommend this school to friends. She's the youngest of six, so this experience has been a total game changer and I understand the desire for private schools who can provide the support and guidance that Marlborough has. The good news is they offer opportunities for students who may not all have the same means. They have uniform swap day where girls can donate their gently used skirts to be donated to new students and students who just do not feel the need or have the finances to buy new. Over all, we have found a wonderful home here. Our youngest is thriving and we couldn't be more grateful!
