I never bought anything from this particular store but wanted to give my two cents on a rather bad customer service experience. I bought, or should I say rented, a 5 Gal Keg from the Torrance/Hawthorne Blvd store. Took the Keg home and learned that my CO2 tank (for my Kegerator) was out of air. It was around 7 p.m. and most shops that sold air were close. So to remedy the situation, I asked a friend who was, at the time, close to this Bevmo store to borrow a tap (manual pump) that we can use for the night. Night went on and had a great time. The next day, my friend went back to this store to return the tap in order to get his deposit back. Guess what, this damn store refuse to do so; for reason being that they do not carry such pumps. My friend was calm about the situation and asked to speak with a Manager but was told the same thing. He then ask to see the surveillance videos and much to their dismay, the recordings showed what appears to be a different tap. My buddy and his wife were furious and argued with management for an hour to no avail. The wife even started crying but they still refused to give in. So what did I do? I paid my buddy the $50 deposit, took the tap to the Bevmo I got the keg from and returned it with the keg. I got the deposit back for both the keg and the tap, even though the tap came from a different store. The sales rep who processed the return asked me which store I got the tap from and I said, "the one on PCH." With a chuckle, he replied "Man, they gave you an old-ass tap, this is no longer being rented out." But without commotion, he gladly refunded the deposit. And this is how the cookie crumbles: One Star for a bad customer service and for making my buddy's wife cry. Shame on you, Bevmo, for making a lady sob for a mere $50. read more

Good location. They close a tad early. Smaller selection that their Hawthorne blvd location. Still good beer of course. A wide selection of spirits and wines. They should upgrade like total wine and let customers build their own six packs. That would be ideal read more

If the only sold more craft beer instead of this Budweiser crap and Corona it would deserve five stars.

In this specific BevMo!, make sure you check out the expiration date or the born on date for any of their craft beers. I say this because most of their craft beers are expired. I unfortunately bought a 6 pack that was almost 1 year old. I brought this up to the manager and they seem to be doing nothing about it. read more

I have to say I am very disappointed in the cigars I purchased at this location! They were dry and all cracked when cut! If you can't keep cigars properly do not sell them!!!! Please be aware that all of the cigars in their very small humidor are terrible!!! read more

Limited selection and most of what I like is at Total Wine and More. If you don't have a "elite" taste in liquor, then this "glorified liquor store" is perfect. Otherwise I suggest Total Wine and More. When I lived in Palmdale all I had was Bevmo and unfortunately whenever they didn't have what I wanted they would either direct me online or another Bevmo miles away. It's the same now that I live "down below." I don't want to "chase" my liquor around from franchise to franchise. That's just poor inventory on Bevmo's part. read more

Was here with 5 friends. 3 were under the age of 21 and 2 were over the age of 21. A lady with very short blonde hair came up to ONLY me and asked if I was over the age of 21. ONLY ME. She totally victimized me and I am not happy with BevMo. I would give her 0 stars if I could. Fire her. read more

Great stop for harder to find spirits (bakon vodka) with nice and friendly staffs. Certain liqueurs are pricier at BevMo than at a regular liquor or super market. For example, 750ml of regular Kahlua is $16 at BevMo vs. $12 at Vons. I'd recommend buying all the popular, regular spirits at the local super market with your rewards card and stock up on harder to find spirits at BevMo. read more

If you like spirts of any kind, then this is the place to go..everything you want in wine beer and all hard liquor in this store. I will tell you once you walk in You will walk out with something in youre hand, even if you dont drink, this is a great place for gifts, holidays and hostess gifts. read more

This place is employed by ignorant jerks. I get followed every time I walk through the store. Today, despite my previous experiences, I went to pick up a couple cold ones. Not only was I hawked the entire time, when I went to make a purchase they said they weren't taking cash as a payment only card. I only had cash on me and they were like we are already counting the till we only take credit or debit. It was 15 mins till closing. I will follow up this complaint to all necessary entities responsible for policing the actions of these seemingly racist employees. I was about to spend over $40 on beer and I will never go back to this place again. read more

Friendly, helpful staff. They seems like they are actually happy to work there, and having a good time, yet still professional. Some stores I've been in, the staff act like it's killing them to be there, but not this team. Store is clean and well organized. I'm in frequently and have always had pleasant experiences. Great bargains on wine. Staff is eager to make wine recommendations, which I've taken on several occasions and the wine was a big hit. Nice to have a local store I can count on. read more

In my travels, I have frequented BevMo on many occasions, and each time it seems to get worse. More junk, clutter, just garbage (apparently trying to be all things to all people), and really nothing most of us would want. So I head on this 88* So Bay day to get a couple cases of suds since the thermometer is all red and I have a gathering to attend. And to my dismay, the already pathetic cold beer cooler is ripped. I mean nothing of value at all. Whomever chose that set needs some guidance. There were ample foofoo drinks there, (probably still there for a reason) but nothing legitimate (OK, in fairness, legitimate in my feeble world) and the stuff that is good and popular was gone. Nobody to help me, nobody to check back room, some gal was standing in the corner tasting some uninteresting wine samples, nobody talking to her, so that again says something... So I am forced to buy embarrassing cold beer that I felt terrible about bringing to Bbq (sadly Stella Artois was the best item). Then comes finding some other items which took wandering for many minutes, granted the place aint very big, but after I wasted time trying to find the "&Mo", which was equally disappointing, I decided I couldn't take it anymore. So I just left half stocked because of frustration and anemic stock and selection. So here's the clincher, and im not really a penny pincher, but seriously, most of the decent go-to brands were well over $10 for a 6pk, Ralphs has them for $6.99, Hansens soda @ BevHo is $4.99, Traders across the parking lot is $1.99. So one stop shopping failed, value and or savings failed, customer service failed, so this ended up being, yup, a FAIL! Yes, I have the right and privilege of shopping elsewhere, and after this final straw experience, that is a given. Sadly, I couldn't even buy the stuff I wanted at whatever price. Maybe if I need some cotton candy vodka I'll be back, but the chances of that are between none and none. read more
