I have taken my 11 year old son to this location multiple times and been pleased. We booked a appt…read moreonline yesterday and Madison was our barber. My son sat down and showed her a pic of what he wanted. Her response in a dry tone was "that is literally what you already have." Um...ok, yes but he needs it to be cleaned up. Also, not a way to respond to an 11 year old trying to show you what he wants. Then she was asking if we wanted the sides scissor cut or clipped. Once again, we showed you the pic. I am not the professional here. When cutting my sons hair, he started to get nervous about how much she was cutting off the back. Instead of discussing it with him in a kind way, she dismissed his concern and said if she stops, it will be uneven. (Understandable, but tone still didnt help) She had to walk away to check someone in, and my sons eyes started filling up with tears. (He is NOT a kid who cries easily). She came back and said "Do you want me to keep going because no matter what i do, he wont be happy with it." At this point, i was done. I said "Yes- lets just stop" I told her that she had been rude since he sat down and she said loudly "WHAT DID I DO?" Seriously, you're going to act like the victim? Then I went to go pay for the service she did provide and very loudly again, she said "You're good!! You can leave!!!!" Every other experience we have had at The Garage has been great. Due to the scene Madision caused and the way my son and I were treated, we will never be back. Madison needs to learn how to talk to children, and learn to have common courtesy. It's not our fault if she was having a bad day.
