We've been tenants for about 3 years now and we're attracted to bexley for their location and floor layouts. So many to choose from! I will say there is a lack of overnight security. We have had our car broken into and have had to deal with non-handicap tenants parking in the only handicap spot near our unit. There has also been a lot of issues with the second side gate and I'm constantly having to switch out my key clicker. We've also made a service request to fix our washer as well and our request closed even though nothing was fixed. We've had several one of a kind vintage pieces of clothing ruined due to our faulty washer. We've now resulted in paying for dry cleaning for our specialty items. Overall, Bexley is a friendly, clean complex and has been quite a pleasant place to live minus the few bumps in the road. Worst apartment complex in Austin. If you enjoy living next to a homeless camp this might be the place for you! Homeless people wander from their camp onto the "gated" property, breaking into cars and people's apartments. They constantly throw their trash and needles into the road and grass making it very in safe to walk your dogs or even walk yourself. If you enjoy sketchy neighbors this might be the place for you! One instance for example it's 2am and the cops show up banging on doors looking for someone who had assaulted a resident. For 4 months the police were constantly in the complex investigating domestic violences and disturbances. Additionally one evening at 6pm someone was banging on the door and tried breaking into our apartment. If you like rude management this also might be the place for you. From day one I should've known. Our ac along with other neighbors was out for 3 months before they finally fixed it, they gave everyone a single in unit ac device to cool a 1,500 sqft apartment in the middle of summer. Do you like your dogs getting sick? This is the place for you! Numerous trips to the vet and hundreds spent all because they couldn't properly maintain the grounds. My dog had many cases of fleas, ticks and heart worm from the complex. It was so hard to take him to the bathroom because it didn't feel safe! Not only due to the mast grounds but out of fear of getting harassed by a homeless person. The club house renovation was ridiculous. It took nearly a year to get up and working. I am not exaggerating. A construction company built an entire apartment complex down the street faster than Bexley could finish a measley renovation. This is all my opinion, decide what you will. Where do I start....I've been at Bexley going on 3 years and when I first moved here I had very little issues but now, I don't know if it's the new team or what but read this and let me know what you think.... 1. You see those pictures attached? I have been asking why and when our hallways would get pressure washed. It's been MONTHS! And everytime I ask a leasing agent they tell me it should be done some time soon but it has not. Our hallways ARE DISGUSTING! 2. When I moved in I was getting my filter in my fridge changed but now, they refuse to change my filter unless I purchase one myself! I don't see anything in our handbook that says that I am responsible for getting a air filter and why would I need to purchase a filter when this was the fridge that was here when I moved in????! 3. I have been in my place 3 years, at ANY other apartment I lived in before I was able to get my carpet cleaned after a year or two. Why do they not do carpet cleaning? 4. There are days when our trash (like last night) just isn't picked up and sometimes for days. When I ask the leasing office they're so clueless. We pay for valet trash that barely comes. I'm not understanding. I see so many vacant apartments and ppl moving out and I know understand why. We lived here a little over a year, just recently moved out. We had 3 packages stolen off of our front step, issues with our neighbors blasting music at 3 am on any given night, homeless people coming out of the wooded area and asking for lighters or to bum a cigarette, and a down stairs neighbor who liked to come up and knock on our door because my toddler was playing and "stomping" too much for him. After moving out we received our move out damage list a month after our move out date with a $75 dollar charge for our carpets having "high traffic and stretching". Considering we are currently in a pandemic and we're under NATIONAL stay at home orders which forced me and my boyfriend to have to stay and work from home this charge is completely appalling to me. read more

It went from 5 stars, to 3 stars, to 1 star. I always feel bad writing a poor review because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but honestly, it's been such a bad/stressful experience. If you value quality of living, there's so many better options - literally just keep driving to Terra or Wilder and you can pay basically the same price for a better experience. 1. We've had our garbage disposal back up over 4 times. It takes so long to get it repaired! 2. The weird metal thing above our shower literally fell off because the bolts were so rusted - what if we had been in there and it hit us?! 3. We've had ant and silver fish infestations. 4. The neighbor directly to our right passed away and the entire day the police were coordinating moving the body. We work from home so honestly, not a great work day. Additionally, they closed the entrance from the freeway entrances because they found a nude dead body. 5. My partner's car was broken into and they stole a fire arm - there's no cameras and the gates to get in are broken throughout the year. 6. The gym has carpet (idk who made this decision) and it's always dirty - I don't think they ever really maintain it. The main pool was closed for most of the year, the Amazon packages are left to the side of the Amazon locker and we've had packages stolen. They charge over $50 change the water filter in your fridge (and if it's not changed, the light just resets and pretends that the filter has been replaced even though it hasn't.) There's dog waste on the property because the dog bag stations aren't replenished in a timely manner. Going on 3 months now and don't have any complaints! Amenities are awesome, service from both office staff and maintenance have been on point so far.No parking issues. Super pet friendly. Great community incentives from office to keep things fun (never seen in any other place I lived). No issues with any neighbors, all those that I've met are really nice. I have made multiple attempts to contact the leasing office to become a resident and no one will respond via email or phone. It has been 2 months now and I need to move ASAP. I just tried calling again today and the phone call won't even go through due to "high call volume" which was an automated message. I am very disappointed and as much as I want to live here because of the floor plans and location, if the leasing office is not responsive I really don't have a choice and won't be able to become a resident. I cannot imagine living there and getting such a lack of response from the leasing staff. This is incredibly unprofessional. Every interaction with every employee here has been a positive one. Maintenance is always outside working and offers a friendly wave. It's very dog friendly here and the doggy bags are always fully stocked. There are two dog parks and some trails that go near them. Haven't seen one bug inside my apartment (I've been here almost a year.) The floor plans are spacious and well thought out for the price compared to many other apartments I've toured. They even have units with yards. They have community events at least monthly. Once they even stopped me on my way out for work and handed me breakfast. I don't have any complaints about living here - except for the construction on I-35, but that's not their fault. Other than that, I love it! read more

I was initially very much interested in joining this community after falling in love with one of the floorplans. When emailing with the complex since December, I would get a different person answering each message, which was a bit confusing since things mentioned earlier in the thread were then brought up to me by the newer person in the thread. I had seen some of the reviews (and hidden reviews) online and official scam reports from previous tenants, but looked past it and thought I might have a different experience. Aside from a unit I was interested in getting applied to right as I arrived onsite, then getting emailed about 2 days later that it was available again, setting up an appointment to see it, and then finding out it was snatched up again unbeknownst to the complex, there was a bigger frustration which was completely within the company's control. I had asked the main contact, Priscilla, many questions to ensure a good fit. The last thing I asked her about via phone was how the complex had handled everything with 2020 and racial injustice, and if there was any communication sent out to the community showing the complex's stance of intolerance for any mistreatment of its residents to make ALL residents feel safe in their homes. The question came to mind since there was a huge pink banner covering a resident's porch in support of Trump just days after the storming of the Capitol. Priscilla kept saying she didn't know and that she wasn't sure if she could answer the question because I was not a resident there. I was put on hold so that she could connect me with her manager. I was confused as to why she couldn't answer the basic 'yes' or 'no' question whether she and her team did an action or not. After 2 minutes of being on hold, I hung up and went on with the work day. About 10-15 minutes later, I received a call from Kirsten English letting me know that my question made Priscilla uncomfortable and that's why she was returning my call instead. She told me that she listened to the recording of our conversation so was caught up on the issue. I again asked my basic question to Kirsten just trying to understand if the community had created a safe environment for all of its residents by sending out any kind of messaging only to be told that the community is very diverse and have people living there with all kinds of backgrounds so perhaps the community "wouldn't be the right home for [me]" if I am not able to be tolerate of someone's opposing beliefs. After the conversation, I understood I was being discouraged to even apply. After talking to several friends about the occurrence, they confirmed to me that the company was simply uncomfortable talking about race and trying to flip the blame onto me by making me out to be a bully, minimizing the situation, and gaslighting me on top of that. I'm glad I saw the banner that led to my asking. I'm glad I didn't end up joining the "very diverse" community. I'm sure as other reviews mention, that this one will also get hidden on Yelp or flagged and removed. Hopefully they can at least give me the respect of not reaching out or responding any longer after all of that. read more

I have loved living in this community for the past year. It is always clean, well respected by the lovely people who live here, and well taken care of by the staff. Any time I've put in a work order for anything from my AC stopping working during the summer, to the light bulb in my range being out, the maintenance team has been there within a few hours or the next morning (for non emergency). The front office staff is kind and always willing to help. I wish I could stay!!! However, my rent has been raised $500 from my first year to my second, so I will be obviously forced to move. I'm very sad about it, because I love the community here and the beautiful apartments. Wished they cared more about keeping tenants who love living here than making money. read more

My expectations are exceeded. We've been here about a month; I feel safe and it is unbelievably clean. It is secure and away from main streets so there arent suss people constantly loitering around. I love all the amenities on site, I'm loving the wooded walking area, the upkeep in the landscaping and cant wait for the main pool to recoup from the freeze but am still enjoying the other pool in the back just as well! All of my neighbors are all extremely friendly and respectful. The apartment itself is gorgeous- granite, updated appliances, giant tub and spacious patios. I love that there arent rules against patio decorations like in some complexes- you can really tell that the tenants care about their space with small lights and plants, so the whole complex feels homey and like a diverse community. Let's start with the pros: The apartments are nice and well taken care off, maintenance was also always on point. That's about it Cons: They are not well located, I imagined being off the service road would be convenient but with the traffic that 35 has it became a headache. I had lots of ants and spiders in my unit,specially when it rained, they had to come spray it several times! I lived there for a year and got charged for carpet replacement, I know it wasn't in bad condition because I had no pets and I had a baby that was just learning to crawl so I was always making sure it was clean, I called the manager several times but she was always unavailable, I asked for pictures of the "damaged carpet" (since I moved out of the city and couldn't come personally) and never got an e-mail or anything about it. I had to reach out directly to corporate to get that resolved and came to an agreement where I still had to pay part of the carpet replacement fee, ridiculous! Do not move here. Beautiful and Friendly! The property is so beautiful here! I was thinking that, like with most places, I would be less impressed with the apartment I was getting in comparison to the one we were shown when hunting for our new place. Not so here! I was more impressed with the apartment I received. It is so wonderful, so spacious, the floor plans make sense, and it is very well designed. Our animals love this place so far, as well! So many new and exciting grassy areas to sniff and explore for our pooch. The complex is a little bit of a pain to find, but that aside, I have no other complaints. The office staff are super helpful, and willing to work with you if you have problems. Being in Texas, I'm sure it's no surprise that mud dauber nests are a frequent sight. When we first moved in, a Mud Dauber nest was built on our door frame. I called maintenance and they handled it quickly and professionally, putting preventative measures to keep the hornets from returning. Over all, an awesome community to live in. read more

Update to my updated review: today is day 51 without centralized A/C. Our 1100 square ft apartment is consistently beTween 75-82 degrees inside. The itty bitty portable A/C unit they provided only covered 350 square feet. We cannot comfortably sleep, we cannot cook, we cannot clean properly, and our health and safety is at risk due to the humidity, bugs that have shown up, and being consistently dehydrated. I have not received a call or an apology from management. In fact, when I called yesterday I was told the manager was too busy to speak with me. We have to go in every day to attempt to get someone to talk to us, but no one will hear our concerns. We received an email stating they would not be giving us updates unless they actually have one to give, which I understand. And as a consumer who pays money to live at this property, I expect them to have empathy and good customer service (which is apparently too much for this company). I have contacted corporate and they will not give me the time of day unless I update my yelp reviews, so here I am once again. Additionally in that email, they stated if we are "truly unhappy" we have director approval to break our lease without any charges. I don't know if I trust them to not come after us for money, so I feel extremely stuck. read more

I've lived here for a couple of years now. Whenever it rains heavily, my unit leaks A LOT of water into it. I've had 5 major leaks. Now I have spiders. They also have dog poo ALL over the property that no one cleans. Also, there's been a spill in front of my door for over a week that I've stepped in and slipped on once already. I've also slipped IN MY UNIT on my fitness mat that had standing water underneath it from the latest leak. Now my apartment looks all patched up and with a few different shades of white paint. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! I lived here for around 2 years. We had a unit on the first level with a yard. I was woken up around 7 am, about 5 months into our lease, to maintenance workers filling our yard with MULCH. Without notice. I have 2 dogs who used the yard and dog parks frequently. I brought it up to management many times and they could give me no answer as to why the mulch was installed or no apology/option to remove it. Fast forward a couple of months and one of my dogs get a bacterial infection DUE TO EATING THE CONTAMINATED MULCH and we almost lost her after a 3 night stay at the emergency vet and a $2000 bill. (we had the mulch tested by our vet after they could not find the cause of infection). I once again informed management and was mocked and disregarded. And i haven't even mentioned the roach infestation to our building that was "impossible" to take care of or the mail that was constantly lost. This place is a joke. read more

I'm updating this as things have improved a lot. I call or email and they are more helpful and things get taken care of much quicker. All of what I wrote below did happen, but there is definite improvement. Big difference. Thanks! Our AC went out and it was brutally hot outside. No surprise for early September in Austin. I send a repair request on their website and explained the situation. Crickets. Then I called the next morning and got a recording. Left a message. Crickets. Then I called again and finally got Jana, who works her tail off but is stretched way too thin. She agreed that it was an emergency and promised to have someone here asap. That was about 2 in the afternoon. At 5:45 I called back just to check and she said, yes the repair guy acknowledged the request, which meant he will be here when he can be. Nothing. At 7:45 called the emergency number and a woman who was VERY difficult to understand, I think told me that the repair guy acknowledged the call. I said yeah that was from early afternoon. She hung up. About 8:30pm the repair guy called and said he'd be here by 10:30. He did get here but couldn't fix the problem. It was too late in the day. He'd be back tomorrow. After two days of sweating he came back the next day and fixed it. They explained that they ignore the email requests after hours and we have to call. So the email I sent was not read. They might want to explain that somewhere on the page. Our dishwasher has been broken for 2 1/2 weeks and I've about given up on it being fixed. It needs a water pump. They don't keep any spare water pumps or thermostats, common items that will go out and will need to be repaired. If I don't call to ask about when it will be fixed, they will not call me. 2 1/2 weeks waiting for a water pump on a dishwasher that they have 800 more of in the same complex. Stay away. These people could not care less about you. Our security gates have been broken for a while and they remain broken. They are clearly cutting corners everywhere. read more

Since the change in ownership this place is absolutely horrible. I had a change in roommate, and she had a dog. When she left the property managers said someone would make a "random inspection" that was three months ago. I've called every month that the pet rent fee has appeared. They keep saying someone will take care of it. Nothing. We have had issues with people keying cars and slashing tires as well as some robberies (which I heard from one of my neighbors.) and the people in the leasing office have been trying to keep it under cover. They said they would increase security. I take walks around the community and have not really seen any type of security. On security, the gate in the back has been broken for at least a week. They just addressed the issue. When Greystar managed the property this would occasionally happen and it was typically fixed within 24-48 hours. Don't live here! The location sucks, which was okay when the customer service was great. But jeez it's horrible now. read more

I have been living at Bexley 3five for about 8 months now and I love it! The gym has all the equipment needed for a full workout, the pool areas are nice and have well kept grills. Location is also a plus as there are many restaurants and stores within a 10 minute drive. I have recommended friends to come live here and will continue to do so. read more

This place has horrible security, my car was stolen in June I asked if they had cameras they said yes but could only give access to the police. Fine no problem. However, the next building over a girl had someone trying to break into her house, she had asked if they had cameras and they told her no. Our security guards are supposed to roam around, however, gas is still being siphoned, cars are broken into and stolen, houses are broken into. Our street lights have been out for the past year, I take my dog out with my little boy and when homeless people approach us when it's dark outside that's scary. I have asked about getting those lights fixed, but no one ever does anything. I have been trying for over a year to get a garage BUT NOOO every time one is open and I call it's reserved for certain apartments on the end. Okay no problem! BUT SEVERAL APARTMENTS IN THE MIDDLE HAVE MOVED IN AND OUT AND GOT A GARAGE! I called again and asked why this was but ended up getting hung up on, this is so frustrating! We also signed a lease knowing our prices would go but they decided to charge me a higher amount then I signed for. My husband and I went to the office and they fixed it but that should have NEVER happened. read more

I would give this complex 0 stars if I could. Everyone is all smiley in the office but behind an email they are completely different. If you choose to lease at this apartment make sure you respond to their emails/calls within 4 hours or they may double lease an apartment and screw you over! I submitted an application and paid the fees associated - and was told I could pick a move in date within two weeks. I had to leave town and when I got back I learned they had leased the apartment to someone else, after they only gave me 4 hours to respond to confirm the apartment before that. I said no biggie since I could be flexible with my move in (I travel a ton) but I asked if they would at least match the price that was on the application I submitted, and they said no! (For a different apartment) Also don't plan for consistency - through this process I've talked to four different people all with different views on the situation. I would be very careful leasing here - this new management company just wants to fill up so they can make money. I tried to work with them but they wouldn't budge so here I am trying to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else! Maintenance are just snitches for management. They spy on all of their residents. Illegally mind you. They take photos of your apartment without permission during their inspections. Didn't even change the air filter which was their reason for entering apartment. I always kept my place clean and minded my own business so I don't appreciate a staff looking for any way to get me. They're too cheap to hire real professionals to maintain the property. Bleach and a cheap electric power washer won't clean concrete guys! There's still mold and algae growing all over the exterior, it looks gross and it's embarrassing. The breezeways are always dirty. The water pipes would constantly bang and knock inside the walls, something you would expect from a house built in the 1920's. There's way too many loud large dogs in small apartments. Constant barking and banging that shakes everything inside apartment. You can hear everything since they're so poorly constructed with no insulation. I wouldn't rent here under current management and god help you if you decide to move out under this management. If there's a stain on the padding underneath the carpet, they'll still charge you to replace the carpet and the carpet is cheap and not meant to last anyways. Oh and they'll delete this review. Let's start off by saying that the same night I moved in we were crawling with roaches. I woke up because I could feel something on me when I went to turn on the lights my spouse and I had roaches crawling all over our body. I went to tell the office and the only thing they offered to do was call the exterminator. This was not the resolution I was hoping for. I really would have preferred them offer us another unit. Not only that, I told that I would be charged every day until we move out. Yes, I decided to move out because I was not happy with the resolution they offered. I could tell that the roaches were all on the wall and everywhere. For this to be a luxury place honestly, was a major let down. Needless to say, I will be moving out in less than a week. This property has left me beyond disappointed in so many ways. I now have to wait 10 days to get my deposit and portion of my first rent check back. read more

My AC unit went out, and maintenance came to take care of it the next day (I submitted the report at around 11pm). Their first visit was unsuccessful and I was disappointed that they left empty bottles and a loose screw on the floor, on top of the fact that they were unable to fix it. I was asked to fill out a survey and I let them know that not only did they not fix it, but they left their trash for me to clean up. Not cool. I was promptly contacted by maintenance and scheduled for them to come back again to fix it. They did and they fixed it. Left no trash the second time, yay. All in all, I'm glad they were able to fix the issue because not having AC in Texas summer heat is not pleasant. DO NOT LIVE HERE!..I moved to Bexley 35 back in 2017 when they first opened and could not have been happier..until the new management took over. Ever since, there have been several cars broken into, poor up-keep of property, and lack of communication from staff. That wasn't even my biggest issue... After I moved out in 2020, they sent me a notification stating that I owed $170 for damage to carpet. I knew that wasn't right since I lived alone with no pets so I asked for a walk through picture. The rep from Weinstein sent me a picture of an apartment that had a large black stain on the carpet. I instantly knew that wasn't my apartment because that damage looked like it was caused by an above unit and I lived on the third floor. The rep then admitted she sent the wrong picture and sent me the one of my place...they are charging for what looked like lines that appear in carpet after you vacuum! I called the leasing office and let them know this makes zero sense and was told well we have to charge for "carpet depreciation"..you mean normal wear and tear which is not mentioned in the leasing agreement as a reasonable charge! I now have spend time to formally dispute the charge with the credit agency since Bexley could not resolve the issue after nearly a year of back and forth. Thankfully I saved all email communication with Weinstein..any person with at least one half way decent eye can see that there is no damage to the carpet in the pic of my actual apartment. I took a tour of Bexley apartment's and I instantly fell in love,it's a beautiful place! What caught my eye was the pool area and the trail behind the apartments where I can walk with my dog. The apartment itself is nice and clean and the reason I'm moving there in a few months. I could definitely tell they take care of the apartment inside and out and that is the most important to me!! Everything appliance-wise in the apartment is falling apart or is on its last limb. There is crime all around the area. There was a dead body found next to the apartment of a man who overdosed. Our direct neighbor died of a overdose. My car was broken into, stealing a firearm from my glovebox. The gym never has sanitation wipes, let alone it STILL has carpeted flooring. None of the leasing agents can last longer than 3 months. Ive heard from THREE previous leasing agents that upper management is unresponsive and negligent to get the most basic things completed done such as neglecting pest control when there's an infestation in a whole building, or waiting over a month to fix broken AC units. Not to meantion having to wait multiple days on high importance maintenance requests. Upping the rent $150 per month is an insult to both current and future residents, where is the value? Truly in awe that this business is still legally running. SCAM!!! read more

We lived there for 6 months and are paying 2777.00 to do an early term (which we agreed to and are ok with paying) but then they had to nickel and dime us for a carpet that was already 1 yr old when we moved in. I have allergies and had the carpet cleaned/steamed about 1 month prior to moving out (move was unexpected due to work) by their contracted company and was told for having dogs the carpet was in great condition with normal wear and tear for its age....... the maintenance supervisor did our walk through upon move out and said it looked great. the first estimate for carpet the manager sent to me was for apt # 3226who moved out a few days before me... and guess what they were being charged for carpet also... GO FIGURE...... I have already been contacted by others who said the same was done to them so looks like this is not an isolated event... Original review They will charge you for carpet replacement throughout the apt even if the carpet is in the same condition as when you moved in. Has anyone else been cheated by this company after moving out and want to take out a class action lawsuit??? I have a personal lawyer but wondering there are others who would like to join. read more

I have lived at Bexley 3Five going on two years and it has been amazing. The dog park is wonderful, the modern style apartment finishes are beautiful, and the staff is great. The new Property Manager Robert is super attentive and cares about quality customer service.
