I initially found him because he offers the relatively new Sublocade shot - which is a godsend. Everyone in the office has and I think it's only fair to tell you how I know The Sublocade shot involved a lot of paperwork, involving a compounding pharmacy, pre-authorizations, and yet another form to verify information so that the manufacturer would cover the the cost of first two shots. It required a lot of signatures and faxing of documents in a timely manner due to the cold storage required of the injectable medicine. And they had to do this multiple times. On more than one occasion the insurer made them redo a form or they had to be refile some that expired after so many months. This medication has to be delivered several days before the appointment, signed for, and refrigerated. Everything had to be done just right, faxed to the right phone numbers, etc. If anyone would have dropped the ball than it's all for nothing. Dr. King and his staff came through every time! They return calls, answer texts on their messaging app and are just always looking out for your best interest. They were often thinking one step ahead of me. What is also special is that you can really talk to Dr. King - you can confide in him due to his life experience and non judgmental outlook. Like a good parent, he listens and he provided some good general guidance when needed. But he knows where to draw the line. His first responsibility is to be your physician, your confidante second - exactly as it should be. Most doctors do not demonstrate this kind of empathy. It's in a conveniently located in an office building just off the 10 freeway and parking is not an issue. I made him my primary care doctor and it is well worth the extra 10-15 minutes it takes from where I happen to live. They have genuinely contributed to some really important changes in my life and I'm very grateful to have found his practice.

To start off I would like to say front desk staff are VERY unprofessional. Every one waited over…read moretwo hours to see a backup doctor today. Would not recommend this office to ANYONE.

Dr. Pedram J. Kohan, M.D. 3831 Hughes Ave #604,…read moreCulver City, CA 90232 Review for Dr. Pedram J. Kohan, M.D. I trusted Dr. Kohan during one of the most vulnerable times of my life, after suffering a heart attack and stroke, and he completely failed me. Instead of providing care, he abandoned me when I needed medical support the most. No proper doctor should deny service to a patient, it goes against their oath and it's illegal. was respectful and kind, and all I asked was why he didn't get my ER reports and done proper follow-up care. Dr. Kohan was fully aware that my insurance had denied me care for years, and even warned me that if I stayed in the same group, I wouldn't survive. Yet instead of advocating for me, he turned into part of the Blue Shield nightmare. Alongside Blue Shield of California, he resorted to making up false stories--accusing me of "bad behavior" and even inventing imaginary phone calls that never happened--instead of addressing my real and documented health needs. I presented email evidence, yet they continue to slander me instead of acting as health professionals. This is not healthcare, it is abuse. Shame on both Dr. Kohan and Blue Shield for their lies and retaliation against an innocent patient. Stay far away from this doctor, Blue Shield, and these kinds of unethical practices.

They have an on-sight attendant at the parking entrance, food services and pharmacy. The flat rate for parking seems to vary, you can manage street parking depending on the time of day, however it's absolutely worth it to have a secure spot and easier access if coming in for an appointment or seeking services at CMP. Follow the floor and suite notes for the elevator, mask on/recommended once inside and mandatory for in-office visiting. Located between Venice and Washington Blvd off Hughes Avenue with traffic lights at both ends... Traffic turning left from Washington is sometimes heavy so just be safe and patient.

Ever since moving to West LA I've been looking for a great doctor to assign as my PCP. Lucky for me…read moreI was able to find Dr. Ko at the recommendation of a friend and through online research. My entire experience during my visit today was A++ The staff at UCLA Health West Washington is awesome. Everyone at the receptionist desk was friendly and made the checkin process very simple. Helen, the nurse who took my blood was funny, interactive, and really took care of me when drawing blood - probably the best experience I've ever had with drawing blood. Dr. Ko was direct, very professional, and very thorough. I felt very comfortable talking to Dr. Ko about my health and look forward to many years of relying on her to manage my health. Another great thing about this UCLA Health location is that they actually have a parking lot which is free. 5 stars in my book and I'm really glad that we still have medical offices here in LA that don't only look for famous patients in the film industry (hint: read my other review of another medical office)

I like the people here and wish I could give a better rating but... Buyer Beware UCLA health…read morebilling. Beware the "convenience" of the video visit. The $500 for 5 minutes call. The convenience is all for UCLA. They will charge you for an in-office visit. Additionally, if the video call is 5 minutes, they will also use a 20-29 minute in office visit code, which is their minimum charge per the billing rep. Potentially understandable if a semi-complex medical question and semi-complex medical files. That means if you have an HDHP that is $500 for a 5min phone call to ask if a common medication may be right for you. I emailed to ask for advice and they say, oh ok, let's get a video appointment. Did I know I will be charged? Yes. Did I think it would be more like $200? Yes. Was it? No. No matter how many times I asked them if this was correct after I got the bill. Did I pay it? Unfortunately, yes. Lesson learned and hopefully this review is a lesson for UCLA office to make it very clear to advise patients that a Video Visit will be charged as an in-office visit. At least offer the cheaper phone call consult. Also, 500 for an in office visit is also exorbitant. Anyways... PS. Also, beware of hidden charges for an annual visit. They tried to charge $100 for a portion of the annual screening that should havr been covered under preventive care or something they did not do (extra consultation). They force you to spend an hour with billing to get them to waive it and you have to research and explain why they made a mistake.
