Despite providing a substantial 40 percent deposit totaling $11,286, the contractor continuously delayed the commencement of the work, offering excuses and becoming defensive when questioned. I later discovered that he had taken on another project in the same building and was using my unit as storage for his equipment, which was unacceptable. When I requested a refund of my deposit, the contractor's response was dismissive and unprofessional. An unfortunate argument ensued, leading both parties to involve the police. Despite the contractor's attempt to leave the scene, I insisted on waiting for the authorities due to concerns about my property. Subsequently, the contractor made false accusations against me, resulting in a legal process that lasted almost a year before being dismissed. Despite several attempts to recover my deposit through demand letters, no resolution has been achieved. It is disheartening to know that my hard-earned money may have contributed to the establishment of the contractor's new business, Virginia Tile and Bath. It is worth noting that the contractor is registered as a class C contractor, limiting the scope of projects he can legally undertake to 10k or less, my deposit alone exceeded the allowable amount. Even with all the damage the contractor has caused for me and my family he was callous enough to put pictures of my home on his website without my permission. Work that I had to repair and finish! I advise others to exercise caution and due diligence when considering any engagements with this contractor...and if you still decide to use him, please reconsider giving him a large deposit.

Of all things, my plumbing contractor recommending Dominion Floor Covering after I even complained to them about bad service, and I have to say I what a great recommendation. After my initial inquiry, Nick came by the next day, took the measurements and with 24 hours I had an estimate. After I finalized my material color selection I had the work scheduled. The day of the work the crew arrived one half hour EARLY (when does ANY contractor show up early?). The three man crew led by Steve with Ronnie and Keith worked with great diligence, and were done by 4pm. The overall finish of my new flooring is excellent, the amount of custom cutting for molding and transitions due to the layout of my home was first class, the place was cleaned up with no debris, the whole thing was just great.
