BHC completed for us a complete kitchen remodel, with some work into the adjacent family room and hallways. BHC started on our 22 year old Woodinville home by gutting everything from floor to ceiling in our kitchen. This demolition was carried out in an organized and controlled manner. Then they got to work on framing, plumbing, drywall, duct work, insulation, appliance installation, cabinet installation, counter tops, lighting, tile work, finish carpentry, ceiling beams, paint, hardware, and more. The coordination of permits, subcontractors and supplies was flawless. We received a great level of communication and honesty by BHC, applause to owner Brad and his top carpenter Jim. BHC did an excellent job of keeping the impact on our daily lives to a minimum. The entire crew including the sub-contractors were courteous and very considerate (I mean no swearing, no obnoxious music, no stepping on our dog, no leaving trash, no yelling or parking in my way or staging supplies in the way.) At the end of each and every day they cleaned their work area, put away tools and straightened, leaving it as usable as possible for us. They showed up as scheduled throughout the project working four longer days instead of five which was much appreciated. Jim even replaced a long missing piece of molding in an unrelated bathroom and repaired a hole in our siding just because. Our 6 week project was on time in spite of complications with our existing framing and ductwork. Our project was also reasonably priced, and that price did not change as work progressed. It has been a year since we hired BHC, and we haven't a single complaint or issue. We are looking forward to using them again when we start our next construction project. read more

I have used BH Contracting Services for many jobs both at my house and my parents'. The work has always been the highest quality and I have never had any regrets. Brad, the owner, is very friendly and pleasant to work with. He knows a lot about what he is doing and what can be done. Every time I've come to him with requests that I thought were difficult or impossible, he has had no trouble completing them perfectly. I've had Brad come out and do bathroom remodels in my house twice, including some pretty significant changes. Both times all of the work has been done top notch and the bathroom came out at or above our expectations. We have had no problems with his work there in the years since. More recently Brad came to my parents' house to fix various issues acquired in a short sale. In addition, we had him tear out the cramped master bathroom and rebuild a larger and much nicer one. All of the work has been incredible and the house has undergone an incredible transformation. The new master bath is nicer than anything we saw when looking for homes in the area, including new construction. Now we are having Brad come back to my house for a major remodel and addition. Brad has been able to accommodate all of my requests so far and I have no doubt that everything will be completed top notch. One of the things I like about BH is that they generally refuse to use substandard products. There are ways that the job could be done cheaper, but Brad doesn't want to do work that won't withstand the test of time. This gives me confidence that once something is done, we won't have to bring anyone out to fix it later. There are many ways to measure the quality of services provided but there's one that can be difficult to ascertain but critical to have: integrity. We've used BH Contracting for both a major kitchen remodel and later the total remodel of all three of our bathrooms and always felt confident that the work would be done well and any problems would be resolved fairly with the client's interest being paramount. Easy jobs with no problems can be handled by your average contractor (in an average sort of way) but the real test comes when difficulties arise and I can say with full confidence that Brad stands behind his work and the work of his carefully selected subcontractors. For our bathroom remodels we didn't even bother to get bids from other contractors but just had Brad draw up the estimate and proceed with the work.I found the BH team to be meticulous in their estimates and very careful to clearly communicate whenever a cost would increase due to a requested change or unforeseen adjustment. Their attention to detail and elevated standards of quality set the highest benchmark in my experience of contracting services. The entire team were all skilled at their craft and took pride in their work. BH Contracting is my go-to contracting service for big and small jobs. Finally, I would be remiss not to mention Joy Cooper the fantastic office manager. Recently I've dealt with office managers in various companies and while they are fairly competent I'm constantly thinking "well, they're no Joy." She sets the gold standard on client responsiveness and how to make a business run like a well-oiled clock. read more

There are three things that make for a fantastic contractor: (1) quality of work, (2) reliability and (3) cost. BHC created a new spine for my 1908 house by removing and replacing an old center-beam, install new LSL joist and contracting tile work for the floors above. The work was delicate and complicated, costing ~$25K. The second time around I had BHC return to finish the same basement and replace all the windows with new ones, costing ~$10K. In both cases the communication was timely and accurate, the interaction with workers pleasant and professional, and the quality of work stellar. The few follow-ups needed after the work was done were addressed immediately and completely; BHC didn't forget about me when the job was paid for. Finally, I found that BHC's estimates were competitive for larger projects, though if you need a small (less than $10K) job done you might find their bids too high, which considering the level of professionalism and quality of work guaranteed might just be worth it. For your large and complex projects I couldn't recommend BHC enough. read more

We hired BH Contracting for several projects (kitchen, bathrooms, basement, bedrooms, window replacement) over a five or six year period and were never disappointed. The crew showed up on time, did what they were supposed to in a timely manner, and cleaned up after themselves daily (unlike most other contractors). Any time we discussed making a change to the projects, Brad (owner) discussed cost and wrote up a change order so we would know the exact price of making a change. There were no unpleasant surprises. After the first successful project - our kitchen - we never bothered to get another bid because we simply didn't want to work with anyone else. We never felt uncomfortable having them in our home. Contracted with BH Contracting Services to finish my basement last year. They promised me a finish date and delivered on that promise(right before Christmas). I was pleased with their work and they had some great ideas that I used. Their people did a wonderful job and were easy to work with. I was pleased with the choices I was given regarding all materials. Joy, the lady in charge of the office has it ALL TOGETHER!!!! She kept me up to date and scheduled each of the workers in an incredibly efficient way, usually they followed each other, with no wastage of time.
