Dr. Checcone's staff was very polite, efficient, and attentive. Dr. Checcone evaluated the opening during a consult and then performed the surgery the next day. He is a talented plastic surgeon who did an outstanding job. He took a round hole and turned it into a longer scar which he moved closer to my jaw line so that it would appear more natural. It has healed very well and people who have seen the before and after can't believe it. He even managed to save my beard by ensuring the scar didn't interfere too much with the natural hair growth! I saw Dr. Fezza twice for functional Botox injections for Bells Palsy residuals. I've had Botox…read moretreatment for 10 years prior to these with no problems. The first treatment went well with good results. He said he'd like to inject the Obicularis but I asked him not too as my blink was very weak. However on the second appt. I waited over an hour before he saw me. He brought a colleague with him and described to her the treatment he'd be doing and continued talking to her while he did the injections. He had me blink before injecting and both he and his colleague saw how weak it was. I was shocked when before I could stop him he injected my upper and lower eyelids though I'd asked him not to. As a result my upper eyelid is paralyzed in the open position and I have ptosis in my lower eyelid. I must use patches and gels 24/7 to protect my eye. I expect that this will last for as long as 3 months or more and affects everything I do including driving, reading and other things that involve depth perception and clear vision. I had an unsatisfactory appt. with Dr. Fezza post-treatment where though he said he was sorry that this happened he would not take responsibility for making a mistake and displayed a very negative reaction. I don't feel I can trust Dr. Fezza so will not be returning.
