I'm not a mom, but it's discouraging to see Kiersten brand herself as a "real estate mom". Poor moms out there...I wouldn't want to be associated with her. At multiple points, her communication crossed from unhelpful into mean-spirited and unprofessional. No guidance, no advocacy, no effort to explain the process -- just sarcasm, impatience, and an extreme lack of professionalism. If you're looking for someone who will represent your interests, communicate clearly, and treat you with basic respect, look elsewhere. There are plenty of agents out there who actually understand customer service. This one does not.

I dont believe Mr. Mendez had my interest in mind. It felt like he just wanted to close the deal. This was my first time buying a home and obviously I had a lot of questions. There was an initial situation that I felt needed to be addressed and I communicated to Mr. Mendez. My questions were not being answered and I felt I was not getting the advice that I needed to make informed decisions. I had to read blog and other realtors websites to know what to expect. I felt pressured to select a mortgage company he had "recommended" and rushed to buy. We had only seen three houses and I was already been told that I needed to choose one. Once I selected one, there was no negotiation between the seller and Mr. Mendez. I did not know I had that opportunity. I bought the house at 100% of the value. I could've purchased it at a lower price should I had known that it is common. Now that I am selling my home I am learning a lot of things that Mr. Mendez did not bother to make me aware of. I guess I should've done my homework when choosing my real estate agent. I selected him because he was Hispanic and I felt more comfortable communicating in Spanish. Fortunately a wonderful neighbor took it down, but the tape couldn't be removed and when I finally got it removed, it took some paint off my front door. So instead of mailing a letter to me (which is commonplace), C.
