The inside does not look like much has been updated. It's the typical grocery store out there. Fluorescent lights illuminate the aisles, generic looking price tags, and all the items that line any aisle in any grocery store. They do have some pretty great sales, but with any sale, you have to strike at the right time. Prices for items not on sale seem to be the going rate for them in the area. Staff were super polite and I appreciated that.

If you do a little research you find out that the "frog" part of the name is actually an acronym that stands for "Fully Rely On God." I'm not very religious myself and I have no hard feelings towards any one that believes in any type of religion. Just not my cup of tea. Whenever they told me the frog part of the name stood for fully reliant on god, I was a little skeptical but decided to try it anyways. If I remember correctly the store had 6 machines for a total of 12 flavors to try. Even more impressive was their topping bar which was easily the biggest I have seen in a froyo place. Everything that I had ended up being spot on and the only thing I noticed related to the name was a book about frog and Goliath which was a-ok by me. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I imagine it will become one of our normal stops when visiting my fiancés parents.

Instead a seed was planted here and cultivated and up sprung a gas station/convenience store. A common sight along this corridor that connects Pittsburgh to the rest of western Pennsylvania. Speedway has steadily been increasing their presence in the area and usually within distance to create competition with a nearby gas station chain. There is no difference in this area. New Alexandria has been kind of an oasis while driving Route 22 with it's one gas station that was open 24/7. With the addition of this station you now have a choice. Speedway is similar to the competition up the road in several ways. Open 24/7, offers food, and has a wide selection of items that you can grab and go. However this spot has a couple variations. First they offer diesel for the bigger vehicles on the roadways, so the lot is larger. Another is that they offer a sit down area to eat your food. Speaking of the food. Some of the items are heavy on the stomach and others are sparse on the toppings. Quick in the sense that once you order, by the time you pay your items are ready for pick up. One thing I do not like about this place is the fact that you do not seem to get great gas mileage from the fuel. Once I filled up here and went on my way, I basically needed to fuel up the next day. In my travels what would be a complete circuit for me, I used a half a tank of gas. Not great when I usually use much less than that. In the future, I will go elsewhere for fuel for my car, but I may end up stopping in for a quick item of fuel for myself.

Fountain drinks are priced fairly even through all of the inflation hikes, food is pretty good as convenience store food goes, you can even sit down and drink a beer out two if you'd like. (Which I haven't but thought it kinda cool that you can do that in Pa Now). Gas prices are comparable to others in the vicinity... And they have rewards where you can save $ on gas as well.

I also could grab a few things as well. We went into the store and did the ALDI crawl that we all do when we enter here. Slowly walk the aisles to make sure not to miss a thing. I also had a mission, but I like doing the crawl. With my Dad requesting I make a certain recipe this was the perfect place to pick up everything we were missing to make it. Of course a few other items got thrown into the cart as well, but that's okay. I appreciated that this location had self checkouts. I actually prefer this method as I don't always like chitchat. Once done with checking out I packed up my items and we were out the door.
