Eventually my refills were gone and it was time to bite the bullet. A friend recommended Dr. Lipperd, so I called to make an initial appointment. First, I was really happy that this is basically a stand alone location with a private lot. No parking decks, elevators, or long hallways to deal with. The waiting room was pretty crowded, but everyone seemed to be called in a timely manner. I met with a nurse, a nurse practitioner, and then Dr. Lipperd. All three were friendly and seemed to actually care. After discussing my medical history and current and past medications, I felt VERY comfortable with the entire group. I think I've found my new general practitioner.

I had a very concerning experience with this practice. In December 2025, I contacted the office and…read moreleft messages stating that I was experiencing serious mental health distress related to medications that had been prescribed and that I was feeling suicidal. I did not receive a return call or follow-up from the office regarding those messages. In March 2026, my care was abruptly terminated following an interaction involving office staff. At the time my care was ended, I did not have remaining refills on medications prescribed by this provider and was not provided assistance with continuity of care or a transition period to find another physician. In addition, it is extremely difficult to reach this office by phone, and wait times for appointments were frequently very long, sometimes exceeding 3 hours before being seen. Patients deserve timely communication, especially when they report urgent health concerns. If you experience similar issues related to patient safety or continuity of care, you may consider contacting the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners to file a formal complaint.

She strives for her patients to see satisfaction with every visit. She always remembers her patients, including personal details, that make visits seem more personal. She takes her time and answers all questions posed. She never rushes. The staff is very helpful and courteous as well. The office is very clean with nice decor, not sterile. There is a feeling of being at home. I would say this office definitely stands behind their name- WeCare. Finding a good provider who cares and is not just looking to profit is like winning the lottery. So, If you're in the area and looking for a new family physician, I highly recommend this practice.

I started taking them, and within two days, my fever was gone and most of my symptoms resolved. I did not have to be hospitalized. I will not stop taking the Vitamins A, C and D that he recommended, because I feel strongly that they were very helpful. Incidentally, two months after I recovered, Dr Fauci came out publicly to recommend Vitamins C and D--Dr McWhorter is ahead of the curve.
