I've since been to both the 10:30 a few times and their 9:00 AM a few times. Both a little different, but also the same. Good praise and worship time, great lessons, and most importantly, lots and lots of people being real. I don't do the brain-wash or the "leave your house in your will to us" stuff; I just like to go and give Him praise and glory. What a phenomenal place to do just that.

Pastor Darin makes everything relevant and applicable to working the message into the week. New Life helped start Refuge but it has a different flavor because it has a kind of Urban feel to the place. The parishioners are from all walks of life. So weather a person is professional, a musician, in recovery or white collar or blue collar, Refuge is for anyone which gives a special feeling of its own. God's word is the core and taught in a balanced way that is spirit filled and believes in our triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Right now Refuge is growing and meeting at The God Rock Cafe. There mission is just to love on the city of North Everett and the surrounding area by doing outreach, missions, events, connecting with businesses and schools. If we are to be Christs representatives on this earth, we should act the same way and have faith that God will make miracles happen when we just step out and believe that He who created the universe out of nothing can also use us in a miraculous way.

People regularly receive gifts of healing, words of knowledge, and partake in the moving worship services. I remember one time Pastor Russell picked me out of the crowd and read my mail. The Holy Spirit revealed to him a timely, prophetic word that was spot on. I was happy to see Pastor Russell, standing for truth and righteousness in light of the conflicted, damaging, destructive agendas coming against God's people.
